Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 126: Memories 1

[Center of the forbidden Zone.]

Ellen's eyes fluttered open slowly, and the first thing she saw was a colossal giant staring down at her.

"Ah!!"

She instinctively recoiled in shock, her face paling instantly.

WHOOSH!!

A sudden blast of energy shot out from the side, instantly obliterating the giant's head, which then dropped to the ground with a sickening thud. The massive body followed, collapsing lifelessly.

".....?!"

"Don't scare the little Princess," a voice purred.

Ellen turned to her side, where a red cat with dragon wings sat calmly on a huge tree branch.

"...?!"

With a dumbfounded expression, she moved her gaze around her surroundings. She was sitting on a gigantic tree branch, and below her were tens of thousands of giants, with nine even bigger ones looming over the others.

"Where am I?!" she asked, turning back to the cat.

"Calm down, little one…" The creature turned its head to face her.

"You are on Yggdrasil… And sorry for not introducing myself before… I am Vinous, the great Queen's personal guard."

Ellen stared at him in silence, then scanned her surroundings again.

"And you are, Princess Jasmine," Vinous added.

Ellen turned to him in confusion. "My name is Ellen," she said coldly.

"Ellen?" Vinous thought for a moment and shook his head.

"Nope… You are Jasmine. It seems you've lost your memories. Well, you were a baby, but you should remember something… Like your real parents."

"....!!"

Ellen stared at him, her expression hardening. She discreetly tried to access her powers, but found they weren't working.

Vinous stood up and walked towards her:

"Your powers are sealed because you are close to that," he said, pointing a claw at a glowing golden fruit on the tree.

"....?!"

Ellen was stunned. 'That is the fruit Dad's after,' she thought to herself.

"Come on… You need to get back on track. Explaining what I am going to do with an ignorant child would be annoying," he said.

Before Ellen's eyes, the space around them began to crackle and creak. In the next instant, they were in a void, completely devoid of light.

"Now… Let's start from the beginning of your life," Vinous said as the void shifted again. Both he and Ellen appeared on a lush, green field.

Ellen raised her head to the clear blue sky, then lowered her gaze to the beautiful field before her.

"We have to move to this unknown planet just to hide," a familiar voice said.

Hearing the words, Ellen turned around, only to see a small wooden house. She and Vinous were standing at the window, staring inside. They saw a beautiful Xenon lady holding a child in her arms.

"Is that?"

"Yes, that is your mother," Vinous completed her sentence.

The two watched as the lady stood up and walked to the front door, still carrying the baby.

"Oh… your sister is back," the woman said with a warm smile.

Ellen and Vinous moved to the front door, where they saw a little blue-skinned girl running towards them with a bag in her hand.

"And that there is your elder sister… If only she were here," Vinous said.

"What happened to her? To them?" Ellen asked, her heart pounding.

"I am here to show you your history. All your questions will be answered in due time," Vinous replied.

BOOOOOOOM!!

In the next moment, a massive red warship, ten times bigger than Sunny's Starship, tore through the planet's atmosphere.

"...?!"

The woman quickly held her two girls tightly as the warship descended, landing on the edge of the green field. Ellen watched as the doors opened, and Vinous, in his humanoid form, stepped out and stood to the side.

She continued to watch, mesmerized, as a beautiful, fair lady with long, striking red hair that reached her waist emerged. The lady had a small, delicate face and cold red eyes. She wore a long, flowing dress, and on her finger, Ellen instantly recognized a ring.

'Chaos ring,' she thought in shock. Her gaze moved to the side, where she saw a middle-aged man with white hair rushing over to them.

He stopped before the three and said quickly: "Inside."

The woman nodded, and handed the baby to her elder daughter.

"Take your baby sister inside, and don't come outside," she instructed.

The girl nodded, her eyes wide, and walked into the wooden house while the woman closed the door, locking it from the outside. With a worried look at her husband, they walked towards the red-haired lady and the cat.

"Come on," Vinous said, following behind the husband and wife. Ellen looked at the house for a few seconds, then followed them.

'Is sister Jinx my real sister?' she thought to herself.

"Have we been discovered?" the woman whispered to her husband.

"I guess so, but why hasn't he acted yet? Instead, he sent her over," the man replied, his tone dark and full of suspicion.

The two stopped some meters from the lady. The man yelled, "That is as far as you can go!"

The lady and Vinous stopped in their tracks. She smiled. "Good day we have here, my prince."

"I am no longer a Prince!" the man yelled back at her.

"Oh… I forgot, you gave away the throne for her," the lady said, shaking her head in pity. She continued:

"You are a Great Dragon… The purest alive… Why don't you come work for my master? All you have to do is hand over both your girls… They won't be killed or tortured. You know what will happen; they'll have the best of the best, so why do you refuse and come here… In a low world?" She stared at him in confusion.

"Low world?" Ellen whispered, bewildered.

"No need to whisper, none of them can see or hear you," Vinous said, then continued, "I am not here to answer irrelevant questions."

Ellen frowned and asked, "Then what about the Great Dragon she mentioned? Is there a difference between the dragons?"

"Well… This question relates to your origin, so I will answer it," Vinous said and explained.

"The dragons in your current galaxy are known as low-level dragons, all of them… While the ones your father was born into are known as Great Dragons, one of the strongest force you can ever imagine… For example, a low-level dragon can't even survive in the forbidden zone, but a Great Dragon in that rank could wipe out the whole forbidden zone. I myself won't even dare go head-to-head against one."

'If what he is saying is the truth, does that mean I have the power to destroy the forbidden zone?' Ellen thought, her face filled with disbelief.
