Chapter 605: Savage
Rain discovered that dealing with hunger was a rather annoying experience, but he managed to endure it for two days without significant problems. However, his patience reached its limits when he was tasked with preparing a meal for everyone. As he cooked, he felt a growing sense of frustration building within him. He couldn't eat even though he was cooking…
During this time, Rain made an apparent effort to calm himself as much as possible, especially when he interacted with his children. His irritability had reached a point where even small noises or minor inconveniences began to get on his nerves. It was a reminder of how much he relied on proper sustenance and how hunger could affect one's mood and temperament.
Despite all that, Rain could feel his focus improving. When he was meditating, he felt his mind getting clear, and so he was able to control his mana better… that was useless for what he wanted right now.
"... I guess I will have to stop drinking water too for a while" Rain thought and then shrugged. "You heard this right, o body of mine. Unless you cooperate, we are going to suffer together."
Rain wondered if he was losing his mind out of hunger already… being muscular has its costs; it requires a large amount of calories to maintain his body before it starts eating itself inside out, a very good image.
"... Your training methods don't make any sense," Sears said on the fourth day of Rain's hardship started.
With two days without water, Rain had consumed all the reserves of energy in his body. Thanks to that, he could see his muscles better than ever, but he wasn't the type to flex his muscles in the mirror and gaze at them in awe… he only felt pissed.
"All right, once I pass out, I will eat like a pig and start to learn another technique," Rain thought and then sighed.
"You should eat something, or the kids will start to think that such a thing is normal for people when they are training," Terra said while raising her left eyebrow.
"You should tell them that the secret to growing like me is to eat a lot and exercise every day," Rain said.
"I don't want them to become taller than me when they are ten years old," Terra said. "So, I will tell them to eat right and exercise moderately. I will feel better knowing if they follow the path of magic instead of punching dragons like you."
Rain chuckled a bit… That was refreshing, to the point that he began to think more clearly again without being bothered by the anger of his empty stomach. Thanks to that, he wondered if he should fight that feeling of hunger mentally and physically. Doing that physically was fine as long as he didn't pass out, but maybe It would be fine if he didn't fight mentally.
"There must be a reason why the combination of water dragons and gluttony creates the evolved dragons that can use this technique…" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "That should be their gluttony. If I wish for enough for food, maybe I will see some changes."
In the end, Rain got some results… but not exactly the results that he wanted. On the fifth day of starving, he began to hear his stomach growling every minute, and he felt like he was about to collapse due to the lack of water.
An unknown skill leveled up.
An unknown path received 100 experience points.
"... I guess I can at least take a bath. That should help my body absorb some water naturally, and that will prevent me from collapsing… hopefully," Rain thought.

Rain went underground and then jumped on the water there… it wasn't that good since it was salt water, but he started to feel a bit better. Before long, Rain felt his body a bit itchy, and when he scratched himself, he found salt on his nails.
An unknown skill leveled up.
A Frozen Sorcerer path received 400 experience points
"... It worked? But only on the water?" Rain frowned.
Rain didn't use his mana for that, and his skin looked more alive than before… so the technique probably worked. At least it worked maybe one level before the technique that Rain wanted.
"I guess I was a lot more thirsty than hungry," Rain thought.
At least it seemed that Rain was on the right path, and thanks to that sense of relief… he finally realized something. Rain used Limit Breaker and Magic Boost, and he also punched himself once… in the next moment, it happened.
An unknown skill leveled up.
The Frozen Sorcerer path received 300 experience points.
"I am going to ask Terra to headbutt me… the method of training wasn't wrong, but I wasn't completely right… I couldn't recover mana, stamina, and health when they are already full," Rain said while rubbing his eyes.
Rain felt like sighing… sometimes his stupidity surprises him quite a bit. In any case, Rain could feel his stamina and mana being recovered naturally, one extra point more than usual. His health was on the same path, but it was a bit slower, but that was the usual.
"All right… let's train everyone," Rain said, and then he realized something. "Spreading this knowledge could be Dangerous. I have to alert all the warriors that this technique belongs to dragons, and if they talk about it, they will become targets for the dragons…"
Rain was eager to share the knowledge of the technique he had learned from Isa with his friends. He sent them letters explaining how it worked and the specific requirements for learning it. His friends had always been valuable allies in their battles, and Rain believed that the more people who knew about this technique, the better their chances of success in facing the mysterious threats.
As he waited for their responses, Rain was determined to perfect the technique. He understood that it was essential to master the ins and outs of this new power so he wouldn't have to resort to starving himself to reach his full potential.
