Chapter 1392: Fire Absorption
Before long, found enemies began to fire the fire meteors at Rain. Since he felt a bit playful and he wanted to gain some extra time for the others to finish things on their facility, he used the rain technique and then the attacks canceled each other.
When the enemies began to slow down in order to think of what they should do next, Rain suddenly used Teleported and then punched the back of the head of one of them before piercing its back with the ominous sword… he didn't pierce it deeply since he didn't want to kill the beast, but he infused the blade with the dark ice, and then the spine of the beast began to freeze, and that paralyzed the monster.
The ominous sword began to drain the mana of the beast, and soon, the others began to attack Rain, but he repelled the fire meteors with his punches. Forget about them exploding on the impact; rain sent them flying into the distance before they exploded seconds later.
While seeing that, the solar dragons couldn't help but be astonished… to think that mere punches could stop their best attacks…
As the ominous sword continued to drain the mana from the paralyzed solar dragon, a remarkable transformation began to take place. With each passing moment, the once-fiery creature's form began to lose its radiant glow, its flames flickering and fading until they were extinguished entirely.
In their place, a dark aura enveloped the dragon, shrouding it in shadows and transforming its once-burning bones into twisted, obsidian-like structures.
With its mana drained and its fiery essence extinguished, the solar dragon's body struggled to repair itself. Its instinctual urge to absorb heat was stopped by Rain's manipulation of the environment. Yet, despite its best efforts, the dragon found itself unable to overcome the overwhelming darkness that now consumed its being.
Sensing an opportunity, Rain wasted no time in delivering a decisive blow. With a powerful punch, he shattered the weakened structure of the dragon's body, sending shards of darkened bone scattering in all directions. The once-mighty creature crumbled under the force of the impact, its form dissipating into nothingness as Rain emerged victorious once again.

Rain had a hard time controlling his urge to use all that mana to enhance the ominous sword with dark ice and kill all the solar dragons as fast as possible. In the end, after seeing that, the solar dragons began to slowly retreat, but by the look in their eyes, it seemed that they didn't give up on the fight completely… they were just trying to buy time.
Rain immediately teleported to the back of one of them, but the others immediately bombarded him with the fire meteors… they knew that Rain would do that. However, Rain also knew that they would do that. With a single arm, he pierced the back of one of the enemies with the ominous sword and punched the others using light speed.
The projectiles were sent flying right back at the enemies and exploded in their faces… they just absorbed the attacks, though.
"Fire Absorption… they already showed that, but I honestly thought that such a thing was only possible in games," Rain furrowed his eyebrows.
The other creature was doomed, but those three began to fly away while Rain was busy… since their sin wasn't pride, Rain couldn't say anything about their cowardice, but he wasn't planning to let them go that easily either. However…
"Rain! We are starting to suffer too many losses!" Terra said via Telepathy. "Your doppelgangers are being beaten down as well."
Rain looked at their target and saw that the place was falling into pieces… Terra, Seara, and the others should have gone to the other facilities, but the others were still trying to cause more damage, no matter the cost.
"We are done here," Jori said.
"Same here," Esmeralda added.
"All right, retreat to the pocket dimension immediately.

The solar dragon was killed, and Rain decided to avoid further casualties by retreating once everyone was done. That only took a couple of minutes, and since the leaders of the groups watched the retreat, the number of wounded didn't increase. However, Rain's body began to shake, and he sweated cold as he received the memories of his doppelgangers… they had that ability, too.
It was only the memories… but they truly died, so that was a powerful blow to his mind.
"Ugh… it is so much easier when the enemies almost obliterate my body," Rain said after groaning. "It is almost like a below waist hit…"
Rain used Remote Viewing to confirm the situation on the facilities and saw that they had been mostly destroyed and weren't being repaired anymore. Rain would love to throw them at the sun, but he had to save energy… without the energy web, they probably would melt soon, so it was fine.
In the end, Rain began to teleport away from the area, crossing the planets that he had been as fast as possible, and when he was the halfway point, he teleported back to their base directly… the headache still bothered him, but it was much more bearable than before.
"You might want to check your body and heal yourself," Elisabetha said. "You absorbed too much radiation… this kind of thing is many times more potent than poison, after all."
After hearing that, Rain checked his body… the burned areas had a blue and green border, and it looked like the areas around the wound were melting and turning into a yellow liquid… that was rather disturbing to see his body like that, but Rain began to work on healing himself… still, things only started to improve when Terra came and began to heal him as well.
