Chapter 1374: More draconic power
With each successive barrage, Rain's senses heightened, his mind racing to devise a strategy to counter the attacks, and it didn't take long for him to find a way to deal with them…
The attacks reached the ceiling of the warehouse and began to make huge chunks of it fall apart… they might be failures, but their basic foundation was still of the first dragons… they were all world-destroying monsters.
When the dark dust began to approach Rain, he immediately teleported away to the back of one of the dragonfly-looking monsters and then stabbed the creature… the ominous sword began to rip apart the creature with ease, and the beast began to shake in pain. However, Rain came in contact with the dark dust and soon felt his body getting numb.
Before he could lose control over his body, Rain split the creature in two, but he also put his hand on the creature and tried to use the monster's essence to make a core.
In a sudden turn of events, Rain was hit from behind by a powerful dark fire beam, but his ominous sword swiftly intercepted the attack, stopping the attack with precision. Despite the explosion of dark fire that engulfed him, Rain remained focused on the task at hand.
However, amidst the chaos and turmoil of battle, Rain's attempt to transform the creature into a core was met with failure. Despite his efforts, he was unable to harness the essence of the monster, leaving him momentarily annoyed.
Rain was able to turn the blood of the monster into a giant red sphere. Yet, before he could fully harness its potential, the sphere erupted into a violent explosion, dispersing into nothingness and leaving Rain momentarily stunned by the unexpected turn of events.

"Shit…" Rain thought.
In the end, Rain moved in the air from one side to the other while avoiding the next attacks… he wondered how come he thought that he could turn the first dragons into cores. They weren't ordinary creatures with their own minds and constitution, after all. They are mindless beasts that only had the purpose of destroying and absorbing…
Before long, Rain recovered from the unpleasant surprise and then decided to get rid of as many enemies as possible… that was their final goal if they couldn't find anything else in there, after all.
Rain disappeared from the monster's field of vision for a moment, and soon, they looked around for him. He didn't leave his spot, though… he just disappeared and then put his hands together. In the next moment, the dark rain began to take over the place, and the enemies began to be hit by it.
The flying monsters began to fall as their wings began to get filled with holes while the ones on the ground began to shake thanks to the pain… Still, not a single one of them died since Rain was focusing on attacking as many of them as possible. By himself, Rain was able to stop hundreds of the first dragons with relative ease… However, soon his mana ended.
In the next moment, the monsters began to recover and tried to attack in all directions while their bodies were being repaired, but they couldn't see Rain.
Before long, one of their allies suddenly began to fall… and before they could make sense of that, the fake rain began to fall again… while invisible, Rain pierced the head of the falling monster and then the ominous sword alongside the mana gems began to drain the mana of the beast. As a first dragon, it had enough mana to fill Rain's mana pool and then some.

Level 30: Dragonheart Connection - Establish a temporary mental connection with a slain dragon's heart to absorb and channel its power briefly for enhanced abilities. All parameters + 50 per level after killing a dragon. The bonus lasts for the same level of the skill in minutes, and while its duration can stack by killing more dragons, the bonuses in parameters can't.
Rain equipped that skill, and soon, he saw its might in action. His parameters began to increase as the skill leveled up, but soon, the monsters began to be teleported away.
"You are more resourceful than I made you out to be."
With a momentary pause to survey his surroundings, Rain's gaze moved across the battlefield before resuming his pursuit of the monsters. Despite the presence of another machine god observing him, Rain remained focused, knowing that dwelling on their gaze would serve no purpose in the heat of battle.
Instead, Rain focused his attention on the task at hand: increasing his strength and weakening the enemies further. With each calculated strike and strategic maneuver, he pressed forward while slaying more and more monsters.
As he continued to engage the enemy forces, Rain could sense the subtle shifts in the battlefield, the flow of combat as he sought to turn the tide in his favor. With each passing moment, he honed his skills and honed his abilities until he basically could destroy the monsters with a single punch.
"Listen, when others are talking to you….you are lucky that another rat was causing me some problems, and I can't turn you all into lab rats, but I have something good in store for you all."
"I shall tremble in fear and anticipation," Rain said while he smashed the skull of a monster and then split another in half using the ominous sword and telekinesis.
