Infinite Harem System: I Grow Stronger From Every Female Lead

Chapter 90: To The Academy (2)

A DAY LATER IN THE ACADEMY—

"As I told you, if Ha-joon falls for you and you become his woman, then you won't need to worry about anything else. Just ignore his God complex, and life will be the best."

"Is that so?"

The lady who spoke first stared at her friend. "Hey Ellie, why didn't you accept Ha-joon's proposal? You don't have anything to lose, do you?"

Ellie turned to her friend, her purple eyes shimmering softly. "I told you before, I'm not interested."

Ellie wasn't sure why she didn't take Ha-joon's offer.

He was kind to those close to him, and if she were to marry him or join his harem, her family's Dukedom would rise dramatically.

Plus, he was very handsome and strong too.

However, she didn't know why she couldn't accept it.

She was never one to talk to boys, but she couldn't shake the feeling that her heart already belonged to someone else.

The feeling wasn't always there, but ever since she came to the academy and met her senior Cassie and Amelia, it seemed that something inside her had stirred awake.

And it hadn't just happened to her, as Cassie had also said she felt something similar.

It was like a strange discomfort she couldn't quite place.

She stared at the academy from the rooftop of the first-year building. "Why do I always come here?"

Coming to the roof was against the academy's rules, but each time she had that strange feeling, she always ended up coming to the roof again.

"Perhaps I love the fresh breeze from here." She took a deep breath as the wind fluttered her purple hair and uniform.

It was strange how she, a child who barely stepped outside the house, could even fall for someone.

The door to the roof slowly creaked open, but she didn't flinch.

She already knew who it was.

Kim Ha-joon walked onto the roof, with an unreadable expression.

"Hey," he greeted as he leaned on the railing beside her.

Ellie sighed, too tired to speak to him. 'Maybe I'm getting heart disease.'

She glanced at Ha-joon briefly, studying his face. 'He is handsome, but other than that, I feel nothing.'

Even though he had helped many girls and it was said that all his wives were treated well, Ellie didn't feel anything for him.

He wasn't her type, honestly.

'A guy with a cute smile and dimples,' she thought with a faint smile.

'He should also have cute and genuine reactions to whatever I do or say. Someone who would sacrifice even his life for me and his girls, and didn't act like he was some emotionless superhero.'

For a moment, the face of someone flashed through her mind, making her heart skip a beat.

Before she could grasp the emotion, the sounds of loud chatter and screaming echoed through the academy, making both her and Ha-joon look down.

"What's that?" he asked, trying to use his force to see more.

Ellie wasn't usually one for gossip, but strangely, she wanted to know.

She turned around, grabbed her friend's hand, and dashed through the rooftop door.

...

(Inside the second-year training chamber)

The beautiful young woman with long brown hair and blue eyes swung a katana tirelessly, as if the world would end if she stopped.

Her grip on the katana suddenly loosened as three people entered.

"Hey Cas." A girl with white hair and purple eyes waved at her as she entered.

Cassie turned to face the three girls.

The white-haired girl grinned. "So, have you thought about what I said? Ha-joon will help you get your father's sword art if you get engaged to him."

Cassie wiped her sweat with a towel. "I told you, I don't need his help."

One of the three, who had black hair and blue eyes, stepped closer. "We're doing this for your own good, Cassie. Do you think you can find the sword art on your own?"

Cassie held her gaze. "I told you, my husband will help me."

The blue-eyed girl tilted her head. "Husband?"

Only when she repeated the words Cassie had said did she realize what had slipped out of her mouth.

'Who is 'husband'?'

Immediately, the sounds of loud chatter echoed through the academy as they turned their heads and dashed off to the source of the noise.

...

(In front of the academy)

"No way! Is that guy real!"

"Ahhh!!"

"He's so handsome! No, cute! No, divine!"

"I think I've fallen in love!"

In front of the academy, near the administrative office, almost every girl on campus pushed each other to catch a glimpse of the figure who stood at the center.

The young man with white-blonde hair and golden eyes tried his best to calm the group, but each time he smiled warmly, and his dimples showed, the girls got even more aggressive.

"Dammit, I came here first!"

"Don't cut the line!"

"There isn't even a line!"

Even female teachers who were around were doing their utmost best to hold themselves from sprinting toward him.

Ellie, who rushed toward the scene, pushed her way through the crowd and finally reached the front with her friend.

Her eyes widened for reasons she didn't quite understand. The sight of the stunning man being surrounded by strange women made her heart ache and twist.

Ellie's friend glanced at her, then her gaze shifted to Ellie's eyes, which were completely dead, without a hint of light, her expression cold as ice, as if prepared to kill someone.

"Uhm... Ellie, are you alright?"

Her friend didn't answer and just stared at the girls, her fingers twitching as if about to activate a spell, but the whisper of another snapped her thoughts out.

"Husband..."

Ellie turned her head to see Cassie, her dorm neighbor, who quickly shut her mouth with her palm.

Ellie turned back to the man, her eyes calming down and life returning to them as she slowly concentrated on his face.

The young man shifted his gaze and locked eyes with the two of them, then a gentle smile tugged at his lips.

Not the type he was mass sharing like some sort of random cabbage.

But a warm, slightly cute smile that felt like it was reserved for only a special few.

And the two girls felt it instantly.

A strange feeling that they could only describe as—

Love.

The young man made his way through the crowd and came up to them, then with the smile still on his lips, said:

"I'm Arthur Val Arcain, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances, my ladies."
