Chapter 4: Chapter 4

"You came at the right time, Caesar. Let's meditate together."

Kei had completed his physical training during the day, but at night, there was meditation training for Ripple energy.

Caesar's face twitched uncontrollably.

"W-We're not going to sleep? We still have training tomorrow!"

"Meditation replaces sleep. It replenishes your mind while simultaneously strengthening your control over Ripple."

"It'll be a bit uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it over time."

Hearing the system notifications of his Ripple breathing technique improving, Kei felt even more motivated.

Rest? That word doesn't exist for a true grinder.

Caesar shuddered at Kei's words.

Imagining his future—training until vomiting during the day, and then meditating instead of sleeping at night—he suddenly regretted everything.

"Why did I come to this damned place?!"

...

The Next Morning

"Caesar, wake up! Today's training is starting!"

Kei got up early, feeling completely refreshed after an entire night of Ripple meditation. He went straight to wake up Caesar.

"…Heh… Heh… Fine! If I'm going to die, then so be it! LET'S GO!"

Caesar had barely slept for three hours. Fueled by pure rage, he turned his frustration into energy.

Glancing at the clock, he saw that it was only five in the morning.

In just thirty minutes, the two finished breakfast, washed up, and prepared for training.

At six-thirty, the training resumed.

"Alright, let's go! We'll run around the island until we collapse!"

Caesar stretched his body. Today, he was determined to push himself to the limit—even if he had to die trying.

"No, we're not running around the island today."

Kei shook his head.

"…Huh? We're… not running?"

Caesar's expression shifted from shock to joy.

Did this mean he was free from suffering?

Did Kei finally grow a conscience?

"Running around the island is inefficient. The intensity isn't high enough, and progress is too slow."

"So, starting today, we'll be running on water!"

"We'll use Ripple energy to step on the water's surface—training both Ripple control and our endurance at the same time."

"With this, the training intensity will be perfect!"

Without hesitation, Kei stepped into the ocean, his Ripple energy sending ripples across the surface. He smiled at Caesar—before immediately taking off at full speed.

"…What… What the hell?! Running on the ocean?! Is this even possible?!"

Caesar stared at Kei, his entire worldview shattering before his eyes.

"Can a human even work this hard?!"

"…Screw it! I won't lose! LET'S GO!"

"If he can do it, so can I!"

Gritting his teeth, Caesar stepped into the water.

Immediately, his legs sank.

Unlike Kei, Caesar's Ripple control wasn't refined enough, making it impossible to run across the surface like it was solid ground.

Meanwhile, on a high balcony…

Lisa Lisa, who had just woken up and was sipping her morning tea, glanced outside.

She saw Kei and Caesar running on the ocean.

"Running on water to train both Ripple and physical endurance… Not a bad idea."

She nodded in approval, then turned to Suzie Q.

"Tell the doctors to prepare for emergency treatment. Also… inform the funeral home to prepare some coffins in advance."

"…For whom?"

"For both of them. At this rate, they're bound to train themselves to death."

Lisa Lisa was no longer worried.

She had already started making funeral arrangements.

[Hardworking Slacker: "I lost count of how many days I've been training. Today, I tried running on water. The results were excellent."]

[Hardworking Slacker: "My training partner, Caesar, sank after just half an hour. I managed to hold on for three hours before exhaustion hit me."]

[Hardworking Slacker: "With sheer willpower, I lasted another hour and a half—improving my training efficiency significantly!"]

[Undefeated Man: "Every time I hear about your training, I feel like dying."]

[Little Demon Mirajane: "Seriously, Slacker, you really need to take a break! If you keep this up, you're going to die!"]

...

Fairy Tail World

Mirajane stared at Kei's training log in the chat, genuinely worried for his life.

Training until unconsciousness during the day… And then meditating at night instead of sleeping?

And it wasn't just for a day or two—he was doing this nonstop!

She used to think she was hardworking, but compared to Kei…

Her training felt like a vacation.

"Back when I was eighteen, standing in front of this guy, I would've felt like a rookie soldier."

[Hardworking Slacker: "Don't worry, I can't die. If I do, I'll just restart the simulation!"]

Since death in the simulation didn't actually kill him, Kei had zero hesitation in training to his limits.

[Hardworking Slacker: "By the way, Jotaro, how's your Stand training going? Can you control it perfectly now?"]

Previously, Kei had explained to Jotaro that his "evil spirit" was actually a Stand—a manifestation of his life force and spiritual energy.

In other words, a part of his own body.

[Undefeated Man: "No problem. I can control it down to the finest movements. I can even catch bullets with my bare hands now."]

After hearing about Kei's insane training, Jotaro himself had been motivated to start training inside the prison.

However, his focus was on honing his Stand's abilities.

...

Mirajane Strauss.

A stunning beauty, her signature hair curl was adorable.

In her youth, she was fiery and headstrong.

As she grew up, she seemed gentle on the surface—but beneath that soft exterior lay a mischievous, scheming mind.

She loved gossip.
