Chapter 3: Chapter 3

[Day 1 of Joint Training Begins.]

At six in the morning, Kei got up, washed his face, brushed his teeth, and ate breakfast—handling everything within half an hour.

By seven o'clock sharp, he began his daily training regimen.

Starting with basic physical exercises—running, push-ups, sit-ups, swimming, and more.

[Through training, your physical fitness has improved.]

[Through training, your physical fitness has improved.]

Listening to the system's notifications in his mind, Kei felt even more motivated, increasing the intensity of his workouts.

"Kei is working so hard… I can't fall behind! Let's go!"

Caesar had woken up early as well. After greeting Lisa Lisa, he quickly followed Kei to begin training.

"Sigh… Caesar, you chose this yourself."

Lisa Lisa shook her head helplessly as she watched Caesar chase after Kei.

Over the past few days, she had been observing Kei's training closely.

Her final conclusion? Kei was too diligent—so much so that it was terrifying!

Not just concern, but fear.

Fear that one day, Kei might push himself to death through sheer overtraining!

"How far are we running, Kei?"

Caesar had been following Kei for quite a while now. As he saw Kei continuing at a steady pace without any sign of stopping, he finally asked.

"Distance? What do you mean by distance?"

"I always run around the island—running until I collapse. No set distance, no specific goal."

"It's just grinding! Grinding until death!"

Kei believed that setting a goal only placed limits on oneself.

For example, if someone set a target of 100 push-ups, they would feel accomplished after reaching that number and naturally relax.

That wouldn't do. As a true grinder, relaxation was unacceptable.

With Ripple energy accelerating recovery, he didn't need to worry about muscle deterioration.

Thus, he established his ultimate training method—never stopping until exhaustion took over.

"Wha—?!"

Caesar looked absolutely stunned. He stumbled and nearly fell over. He had met plenty of tough people, but never someone this extreme!

"Are you… Are you serious?"

Still in disbelief, Caesar asked again.

"You'll see for yourself soon enough."

Kei didn't bother explaining—he just kept running.

One hour later.

"Huff… Huff…!"

"Are… Are we really not stopping for a break?"

Caesar gasped for breath, looking at Kei, who was still running at a steady pace without any sign of slowing down.

"Don't talk. It'll mess up your breathing."

Kei, on the other hand, was feeling even more energized as the system continued to notify him of his increasing physical fitness.

And that wasn't all—his Platinum Humanoid trait was kicking in. The immense physical endurance and precision it granted him made his movements flawless, almost like he was a human version of Star Platinum.

Meanwhile, his Innate Talent allowed him to progress in Ripple training at an astounding rate—on par with someone like Joseph Joestar, who was practically born with Ripple affinity.

As for the Orphan trait… Well, it had its perks. If not for being an orphan, he wouldn't have met Lisa Lisa in the first place.

...

Two hours later.

"T-This level of endurance… And we're still going?!"

Caesar was utterly drained. Each breath felt like knives scraping his throat.

Every inhale burned, and his extreme fatigue made him nauseous.

...

Three hours later.

"I… I can't… anymore!"

Caesar collapsed onto the ground.

For a brief moment, his consciousness flickered, and he lost control of his body, crashing face-first into the dirt.

And as soon as he hit the ground, his stomach revolted—he started vomiting uncontrollably, even spitting up stomach acid.

Looking up, he saw Kei still running past him.

At that moment, a deep fear surfaced in his heart.

"Am I going to have to train like this every day from now on?!"

The mere thought of training alongside Kei every single day made him feel like he was about to die from sheer exhaustion.

Up on a high balcony, Lisa Lisa watched Caesar lying on the ground.

"Well… He's got impressive endurance and strong willpower. He actually lasted three whole hours before collapsing. That's quite good."

Originally, she expected Caesar to give up after just one hour.

The fact that he lasted three hours meant he had real potential.

Meanwhile, Kei kept running until noon.

After finishing his meal in record time, he immediately went back to training.

"I… I won't give up!"

Caesar, barely nibbling on his food, saw Kei finishing his meal in just a few bites before immediately heading back out to train again.

Feeling completely triggered, Caesar forced himself to eat more, pushing past his nausea before joining Kei once more.

...

One hour later…

Caesar collapsed again and began throwing up again.

"How does he do it?! He already ran for hours this morning, but he still doesn't look tired at all!"

"And he just ate a full meal! Doesn't he feel sick running right after eating?!"

Caesar continued vomiting.

That night.

"Finally… I can sleep…"

Caesar thought he was finally getting some well-earned rest.

Until he glanced at Kei—who was still awake, training his Ripple energy in the dead of night.

Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli. A young man who carried the weight of honor and responsibility.

His time forever stopped at the age of twenty.

The golden ripple bubbles he left behind… were his final gift to his dearest friend.
