Chapter 11: Chapter 11

[Starting to Draw Simulation Talents]

[Magic Insulator, Otherworldly Visitor, Despicable Outsider]

[Simulation Talents Drawn. Simulation Begins.]

The scenery before Kei's eyes changed, and the simulation of the peaceful world began.

[You transmigrated to the East, becoming a baby. After a tough struggle for survival, you grew up to be eighteen years old. However, on your birthday, you had terrible luck.]

[After you died, you arrived in a pure white space where a person claiming to be a goddess received you.]

[The goddess offered you three choices: The first was to ascend to Heaven and live a dull, mundane life. The second was to start a new life from scratch.]

[The third was to travel to another world with your body and memories to become a hero.]

[After three seconds of thought, you resolutely decided to become a hero and save the other world.]

[During the random draw, you acquired the ability "Magic Insulator." This ability grants you exceptional talent in physical combat, but at the same time, you are a complete idiot when it comes to magic.]

"Damn it! I transmigrate to another world, and instead of studying magic and becoming an honorable mage, I end up having to be a miserable warrior!"

Kei, dressed in modern sportswear, found himself transported to the beginner city, Axel.

"Not only did I get a negative talent, but I'm also penniless. Ah, this transmigration might as well have not happened."

Kei searched his pockets, but they were empty, cleaner than his face, as he walked down the street.

Looking at the various small stalls selling items around him, Kei figured he needed to think of a way to make money.

While making money, he would also try to train himself, striving to make his strength soar once again during this simulation.

Speaking of jobs that allow one to earn money while improving combat skills, adventuring was naturally the best choice. If you come from another world as a hero and don't become an adventurer, what's the point?

Kei randomly asked someone on the street and quickly found the location of the Adventurer's Guild.

The Adventurer's Guild was divided into two parts. One part was a regular tavern selling various foods and drinks to adventurers.

The other part was the mission counter where adventurers could accept tasks to earn rewards.

Also, after registering as an adventurer, you could obtain your own adventurer status card, which would display your level, attributes, skills, and more.

Kei walked up to a counter.

"Hello, I'd like to register as an adventurer."

"Alright, that will be 1000 Eris as a registration fee."

Kei smiled, and the receptionist, Luna, who was sitting behind the counter, also smiled. The two of them kept smiling for a long time.

"Sorry, I just remembered something. I'll come back tomorrow to register."

Kei turned around and left. He had never felt so embarrassed before—he couldn't even afford a measly registration fee!

After leaving the Adventurer's Guild, he looked at the bustling street filled with pedestrians.

"So what if I'm broke! How is this so-called other world any different from the world of Toriko? I managed to build my own store before!"

"Why can't I do the same here? Time to hustle!"

Although Kei was currently penniless, he was full of determination. Making money by working—what did that even count as for him?

"First, I need to find a place to work!"

Kei roamed around the streets, approaching every shop that looked like it needed help.

"Hello, do you need help? I can carry your goods back for only xx Eris."

Kei said to an old lady carrying a large bag.

"Um, no, no need. I can manage on my own."

The old lady looked at the boy who suddenly jumped out of nowhere, feeling a bit puzzled, and politely declined.

"Oh."

Kei wasn't discouraged and continued searching for another person. By the time he walked down an entire street, he had practically visited every shop.

Even though no one hired him, he was fine with it. He had already mapped out the general situation of this street.

"Based on the information I gathered, moving bricks at the city walls is the lowest-threshold job. Plus, if you work hard enough, you can make quite a bit of money."

Kei decided to start by moving bricks to earn his first pot of gold, then he would begin his grand plan for growth. He quickly headed toward the city wall.

Arriving at the city wall, he found a muscular man and walked up to him.

"Hello, are you hiring?"

"Yes, we are hiring, but our work this time is very urgent and needs to be completed within a set time."

"Your physique..."

The boss glanced down at Kei, who was half his height. Although he didn't say it outright, it was obvious he thought Kei was too thin to keep up with their work pace.

"Don't judge me by my appearance. My speed, strength, and endurance are all strong. Plus, I know how to move bricks, build, mix cement, and smooth walls."

Kei said confidently.

"Is that so? Sounds good, but I'm sorry. Our project is really pressed for time, so maybe next time."

The boss still refused. Their funding was limited, and the work was demanding, so they couldn't casually hire someone useless.

"I know you don't trust me, but I can work first. If you think I do a good job, then you can pay me."

Kei didn't give up. When it comes to job hunting, you have to be thick-skinned. If you don't try, why would anyone hire you?

"Hmm."

The boss scratched his head and reluctantly said, "Alright then, give it a try. If you can handle it, I'll hire you."

"Great!"

Kei took off his jacket, tied the long sleeves around his waist, and rushed to work right away.

"Hey! I haven't even told you what to do yet!"

The boss hurriedly followed him. He hadn't even assigned Kei a task.

"Wow! This guy is strong!"

"Is this young man the new recruit? His strength is insane!"

"This new kid's got some guts!"

When the boss caught up, he saw Kei carrying a load of bricks meant for ten people all by himself, shocking all the other workers.

"Good kid! No wonder you were so confident, your strength is really something!"

"But you've underestimated the work here. On a construction site, endurance is more important than strength."

The boss shook his head. He had seen many adventurers who prided themselves on their strength, but construction work was different from hunting.

"Trying to act tough... I bet this kid will give up in less than an hour."

The boss shook his head and went to take care of other tasks, waiting for Kei to leave in defeat.

Meanwhile, Kei was working tirelessly, completing one trip and immediately returning for another.

[You completed a round of brick moving. Your physical strength has slightly improved.]

"I didn't expect working to improve my strength. Not bad!"

Kei was now brimming with motivation!
