Chapter 105 - The Sealed Bankai!

Whether Urahara did it on purpose or not was unclear, but the point where the Senkaimon opened was high in the sky over Seireitei.

As a result, the unprepared Ichigo and Gilgamesh immediately began plummeting toward the ground upon their arrival.

Gilgamesh quickly used Shunpo to steady himself in mid-air.

Before Gilgamesh could take in the scene of Seireitei, he heard Ichigo screaming from the fall beside him.

"Ahhhhhh!!!"

Gilgamesh and Yoruichi of the Past both turned toward the source of the sound and saw Ichigo crashing straight into the ground with a loud thud, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

The sound of Ichigo hitting the ground was enough to make Yoruichi wince.

Yoruichi's cat face showed an expression of disbelief as she commented, "Is he an idiot? Why didn't he use Shunpo?"

Gilgamesh chuckled and casually replied, "Hmm, you might call him a bit of an airhead."

As he said this, Gilgamesh turned his gaze to observe the state of Seireitei.

They had arrived in the area where the Reishi disaster had erupted.

Before him lay a vast sea of Reishi crystals.

Amidst the sea of Reishi crystals, he could see various buildings, plants, and people, all frozen in different postures and expressions.

Everyone and everything had been sealed within the Reishi crystals, as if time itself had stopped.

In the center of the Reishi sea stood a towering crystal structure, which appeared to be the source of the disaster.

Meanwhile, Ichigo, having crashed into the ground, struggled to his feet and instinctively began surveying the surroundings.

What he saw left him stunned, his pain forgotten, as shock and awe appeared on his face.

Clearly, Ichigo was overwhelmed by the sight before him.

"Check over there! The rest of you, follow me!"

At that moment, a familiar voice called out, drawing Ichigo's attention.

He saw Hisagi, the lieutenant of the Ninth Division, leading a patrol.

Without hesitation, Ichigo began walking toward them, calling out as he went, "Hey, Lieutenant Hisagi!"

Gilgamesh, who had just used Shunpo to arrive at Ichigo's previous location, couldn't help but twitch slightly at the scene.

Yoruichi of the Past looked away in disbelief.

She couldn't understand why someone as powerful as Ichigo could be so clueless.

Even Urahara and Yoruichi of the Future had forgotten him, so how could Ichigo expect anyone in the Soul Society to remember him?

By walking out like this, he was bound to be mistaken for an intruder.

And worse, he might be considered the mastermind behind the Reishi disaster.

By now, Hisagi had already noticed Ichigo and, with a frown, asked, "I've never seen your face before. Who are you?"

Ichigo hesitated for a moment, finally realizing that Hisagi had forgotten Rukia and, therefore, wouldn't remember him either.

But at this point, Ichigo could only press forward, forcing himself to ask, "I'm Ichigo Kurosaki! Don't you remember me?"

Hisagi's frown deepened, and he immediately drew his Zanpakuto, saying, "He must be an intruder! Everyone, be on alert! We must capture him. Don't let him escape!"

With that, Hisagi launched his attack on Ichigo.

Ichigo hadn't anticipated things turning out this way and was forced to both dodge and defend himself while still trying to jog Hisagi's memory. "I'm Ichigo Kurosaki, a Substitute Shinigami! Do you really not remember me?"

Hisagi's response was to release his Shikai.

"Reap, Kazeshini!"

Clang!

After blocking another of Hisagi's attacks, Ichigo gritted his teeth and asked, "If you don't remember me, do you at least remember Rukia?"

"Rukia Kuchiki, Byakuya Kuchiki's sister!"

Before Hisagi could respond, a cold voice rang out, "Sister? I don't recall having a sister."

Ichigo's eyes widened in shock, and he instinctively turned toward the voice, seeing Byakuya standing on a nearby rooftop.

Hisagi's squad was visibly relieved upon seeing Byakuya.

"It's Captain Kuchiki!"

"Great! Now that Captain Kuchiki is here, there's no way that intruder will escape!"

"That intruder has been spouting nonsense from the start. Since when did Captain Kuchiki have a sister?"

As Hisagi's squad whispered excitedly, Byakuya slowly raised his Zanpakuto, chanting the release command for his Shikai: "Scatter, Senbonzakura!"

In an instant, the blade of Senbonzakura fragmented into countless cherry blossom-like petals that shimmered pink in the refracted light, creating a beautiful yet deadly scene.

Having fought Byakuya before, Ichigo knew just how dangerous those cherry blossoms were.

Gilgamesh appeared beside Ichigo at that moment, his voice calm as he asked, "Do you need me to intervene?"

Gilgamesh's question caused Ichigo's brow to twitch, and images of White Ichigo and the Visoreds flashed through his mind.

Fearing that Gilgamesh might cause even more harm to people he knew, Ichigo quickly shook his head and said, "No need for your help, Lord Gilgamesh. I can handle it."

Even though Hisagi's squad and Byakuya didn't recognize him, Ichigo knew it wasn't their fault.

This was why, during his earlier skirmish with Hisagi's squad, Ichigo had been careful not to hurt them.

This caution had caused the fight to drag out.

Otherwise, with Ichigo's strength, he could have easily dealt with Hisagi's squad.

Gilgamesh's presence had, of course, drawn the attention of Hisagi's squad and Byakuya.

They were momentarily stunned by Gilgamesh's striking appearance.

The combination of his youthful beauty (C) and commanding aura (A+) was too overwhelming.

At the same time, they noticed that Gilgamesh was wearing the uniform of a Shin'ō Academy student, and were about to question him when they were interrupted by a powerful surge of spiritual pressure.

"Now, I'll make you remember with your body whether this is truly a Bankai or not!"

Gilgamesh, having no further interest in Byakuya, turned his attention to Hisagi's squad.

Just as he was about to speak, Ichigo suddenly flashed toward Hisagi's squad, striking them with the back of his blade, and shouted, "Lord Gilgamesh, please take a rest. Leave everything to me!"

It was clear that Ichigo was desperate to prevent Gilgamesh from getting involved.

Gilgamesh couldn't help but smile in amusement.

Meanwhile, Byakuya, feeling humiliated, clenched his jaw in anger. He withdrew his Shikai and was about to release his Bankai when Gilgamesh's commanding voice rang out:

"Your Bankai... without this King's permission, you are not allowed to use it!"
