Immaculate Blood Demon in Supreme Magus!

Chapter 4: CHAPTER 4: SPIRITUAL MAGIC

~~~~~~DREAM REALM~~~~~~
In a vast black field, thousands of wolves rested without a care. The most common wolves were nearly 3 meters tall and 5 meters long. Their fur was a deep blue color, with several white snowflake-shaped markings on their backs. Their eyes were a bright silver, like the moon.
They were desolate beasts from the path of snow and ice!
Among the wolves, one stood out. It was much larger than the others. The wolf had much darker fur than the rest, an almost black blue. The white snowflakes on its back pulsed rhythmically. Its eyes shone with intelligence.
Near where the wolves rested, three figures hid.
"Are you sure? They are blizzard wolves, their intelligence and coordination are beyond what any ordinary desolate beast can achieve. They are also known to be vengeful, and there is a crescent moon wolf, an immemorial desolate beast among them!"
The fear in the man's voice was palpable.
"Hmph, if you're hesitating before we've even started, then why are you here?" The woman's voice carried a barely concealed annoyance.
"Who's afraid?! I'm just saying we should be careful. Chiyan, let me show you how a real man fights!" The man's words made Chiyan roll his eyes.
'You fool! You're only here because you want to impress Sister Su. Heh, I can't wait to see your face when you find out she's in love with someone else!' Chiyan's thoughts quickly refocused when he saw his older sister getting ready.
"Stop arguing, you're going to ruin our disguises!" Su Yue looked at the man.
She knew his intentions for coming. He might have deceived her younger sister, but not her!
Because she was the most talented among her peers, one of the elders from her grotto-heaven, Han Tian's grandfather, feared she would grow "unmonitored." So, he used his grandson's passion to keep an eye on her movements!
Without delay, Su Yue communicated her plans to the two of them. They were near this wolf pack in search of some wolf pups! Due to their high intelligence and ability to think, a well-cared-for pup could be equivalent to having twice the combat strength.
Their fur, teeth, and claws were invaluable refinement materials, and they would grow back every time they were pulled out! An inexhaustible source of resources would be extremely beneficial for their cultivation.
Thanks to her meticulous research, Su Yue had discovered this wolf pack. The pack leader was an immemorial beast, but he was already on his last legs. The younger wolves were dissatisfied with him keeping all the females for himself, and a battle for dominance was about to erupt!
Using her methods from the Path of Wisdom, Su Yue had already foreseen that a battle was about to begin.
When the battle started, the wolves made room for the three young wolves and the pack leader to fight without restrictions.
As the battle reached its climax, the three began to move. Hantian used his methods from the Path of Light to rush toward the females surrounding the pups. His appearance caught the pack's attention, but they didn't intervene. To them, a few of them would be enough to kill the fool.
Chiyan took advantage of the wolves' focus to advance toward the pups. Being a cultivator of the Path of Shadows, slipping past unnoticed was her specialty!
Su Yue stayed behind, using her methods from the Path of Wisdom to devise plan after plan.
Floating in the distance, a man watched everything as though it were a play. It was none other than Cheon Ma!
Cheon Ma watched with amusement as the three battled the wolves. He wore black armor with purple details. The armor left only Cheon Ma's head exposed. Two dragon heads rested on the shoulders of the armor, their eyes glowing with a hypnotizing amethyst light. They held a blood-red cape. On the cape, intricate drawings of hundreds of beasts fighting each other could be seen.
Amidst stormy clouds, Cheon Ma stood still like a god observing mortals. The strong winds only made his cape dance in the air.
After seeing the three injured ones retreat back to their grotto-heaven, Cheon Ma made his move. In the blink of an eye, he seized the opportunity they left behind to invade the grotto-heaven unnoticed.
Using his assassin technique, "Ghosts Don't Occupy Space," Cheon Ma wandered unnoticed throughout the grotto.
As weeks passed quickly, and Raizel's days followed a strict routine.
During the day, when he was all wrapped up, Raizel focused solely on practicing his breathing technique and learning about his family.
At night, he practiced magic until exhaustion overcame him and he fell asleep. Then, as soon as he woke up, he started again, until Elina got up.
Raizel never allowed himself to take a break. Besides being unable to move, he had to make the most of this growth period to develop his powers.
As his powers grew, so did his control. After a few weeks, he felt confident enough to practice water and earth magic.
He was always careful, never summoning more than a few drops of water or manipulating a handful of dust.
Naturally, with each passing day, his understanding of magic grew. He discovered that spells didn't have fixed effects; they could float and change shape, continuously consuming mana.
After that, he shifted his training to focus and control, rather than power.
Spending so much time alone with his thoughts made Raizel find everything new and interesting. He reverted to his old mortal habits of watching others and analyzing their behavior.
Breakfast was the best time. Each family member had characteristics that were impossible to hide.
Elina is a devoted wife and mother. Very kind and loving, she worries excessively about the family.
Raaz is an upright and honest man; he believes in giving respect before receiving it and would do anything for his family.
Rena is caring and affectionate, viewing her mother as an idol to follow.
Orpal is arrogant, selfish, and stupid. He can't admit when he's wrong.
Trion has a lot of respect for Orpal, unable to see beyond what's right in front of him. He is passive and fearful.
Tista is shy, has a big heart, and is very empathetic.
Analyzing the family dynamics, Raizel realized that problems were inevitable.
After a few months, Elina weaned him off.
With the interruption of his constant and nutritious feeding, a bottleneck was inevitable.
As soon as Raizel felt pain for the first time while using his breathing technique, he knew something was wrong. Analyzing his core, he saw the problem.
Every time he used the accumulation (breathing technique), his core would expand to accommodate his new mana, and his body would force the core back to its original size. However, now his body no longer had the strength to push the core back.
Trying to figure out a method to avoid feeling pain every time he practiced, Raizel discovered that by skipping the part of holding his breath, the energy would circulate throughout his body, rejuvenating him like a good night of sleep.
Using this technique, which he named Revitalization, Raizel was able to practice magic many times more than without it. Unfortunately, the technique lost its effectiveness the more it was used, and only a good night's sleep could resolve the issue. Raizel made a note to himself to figure out how to fix this.
While Raizel was eating in Elina's lap, he noticed a concerned look coming from his father. Raizel questioned the look until he saw where he was looking.
Seeing his son eat so much, Raaz and Elina began to worry. For now, it wasn't a problem, but winter was approaching.
Raizel wasn't foolish; he knew that how much he ate shouldn't be natural for a baby. So, he started limiting his mana training and shifted his focus to his soul sense.
The stronger his mana core became, the longer he could maintain his soul gaze, and the more details he could see. In his past life, his senses could reach through all five regions and two heavens. He could discern the type of cultivation a person had and even what their cultivation base was. He could even see people's memories!
Now, however, the most he could do was figure out which element a person had the most affinity for.
With the arrival of winter, the days in the house grew more hectic. Elina had to delegate the task of feeding Raizel to her older children.
And while Rena had a big heart and tried hard to be like her mother, Orpal became angrier and hungrier with each passing day.
He used to daydream about the days when it was just him and his twin sister as the only children in the house.
Now, he not only had to fight every day for his parents' attention but also for food, clothes, and so on.
Once, he had a room all to himself, but then he had to share it with Trion. It was only a matter of time before Raizel would come and take away the little personal space he had left.
Orpal couldn't understand why a family as poor as his would keep having children.
Winter was the most challenging period for farming families since food wasn't only meant for the people but also for the animals.
Orpal was tired of watching Raizel gobble up all the food, to the point that he gave him the nickname "leech."
So, whenever it was his turn to feed Raizel, he would steal a spoonful for himself. But Raizel wasn't easily intimidated.
As soon as he noticed the spoon wasn't pointed at him, Raizel would use his greatest weapon as a baby: crying!
Hearing the baby's cries, Elina would rush over to check what was happening, frustrating Orpal's plans.
Raizel never cried unless he was hungry or needed changing. Even if someone bumped into his crib or raised their voice, his only reaction was to look with curiosity. Therefore, each of his cries put his parents on high alert.
He wasn't an idiot! Even if he didn't like acting, he didn't want anyone to find him suspicious. For now, his status as a reincarnated person had to be kept a secret at all costs.
Today was a particularly bad day for Raizel. Both his parents were out, tending to a cow that had been burned by the cold.
And it was Orpal's turn to take care of his feeding.
Seeing Orpal take a spoonful of his soup, Raizel began to cry.
"Cry all you want, leech. There are no parents in shining armor coming to save you. Today it's just you and me."
Raizel was furious! He, the strongest Venerable in history, was having to beg to be fed?! 'Damn it. Brat, you just signed your death sentence! Hehe, let's see how you handle my new experiment.'
While eating the soup, Orpal was oblivious to the danger surrounding him.
Raizel had been wanting to test his hypothesis for some time, and to think that the idiot would give him the perfect opportunity!
Raizel realized during his practice that mana itself has no elemental attribute. Whenever he cast a spell, the intent carried by the mana was read by Mogar's signature and converted into the desired element. Then came a question—what happens if we skip that process?
The act of casting spells consisted of three parts: preparation, casting, and manipulation.
Preparation: The mage thinks about which spell to use.
Casting: The mage mixes their mana with the world's energy.
Manipulation: The mage defines the spell's effects.
Pure magic, as Raizel called it, skips the second step. It is faster to cast but much more energy-consuming.
As soon as Orpal shoved the spoon into his mouth, he was too busy savoring the taste to notice the most sinister smile a baby could give without looking extremely cute.
The invisible mana wrapped around the spoon, causing it to slip from Orpal's hand and go straight into his throat. Of course, Raizel wouldn't kill the boy—not yet, at least.
Orpal's eyes filled with tears, and he soon began coughing violently. As soon as he started vomiting, Raizel began his act.
Raizel's crying caught the attention of Elina and Raaz, who were returning home.
As they rushed inside and opened the door, they saw Orpal lying on the floor, vomiting, while Raizel cried.
'Hahahahaha,' Raizel laughed like a madman in his mind!
