Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2: A BABY'S LIFE ISN'T SO BORING!
~~~~~~REINO DOS SONHOS~~~~~~
On a battlefield, dozens of humans could be seen launching attacks at a single man.
Unfazed by the onslaught, the man made a horizontal slash with his arms. Seeing his movement, the people quickly scattered.
Before their eyes, a crescent-shaped spatial rift advanced toward them!
The slash resembled the vastness of space, filled with bright points like stars. As time passed, the slash grew larger, gaining speed and power!
"Please evaluate my new move! I call it the Immortal Killing Move: Ascendant Starry Moon!" The man's voice directly entered the minds of the people, his condescending and calm tone filling them with fury.
"Cheon Ma, you demon! Just because we didn't give you the Space Harvest Fruit, you dare to attack my Xia clan! You truly deserve the title of 'Little Thieving Heaven!'" The man's voice was quickly drowned out by Cheon Ma's laughter.
"Hahahah Yefen, you fool! The Space Harvest Fruit was your clan's chance to redeem itself. Now, since you dared to spit on my kindness, I will take all the resources your clan has accumulated!"
Hearing the confidence in his voice, their hearts sank!
'Damn! All of this over a hundred fruits. If I had known this demon would be so eager for those fruits, I-' Yefen's thoughts were interrupted as he watched one of his most trusted subordinates, a rank 6 immortal from the Wood Path, get decapitated!
Even being a rank 7 immortal, on the verge of entering rank 8, Yefen couldn't keep up with Cheon Ma's movements!
Cheon Ma used his killer move that earned him the nickname "Southern Black Flash"! His killing move: "God's Step," allowed him to teleport anywhere within a 100-li radius!
Combining this move with his killer move: "Space-Breaking Blade," Cheon Ma killed all the members of the Xia clan!
Standing before him was a severely wounded Yefen.
" Bastard! I curse you, demon!" While cursing Cheon Ma's ancestors, Yefen didn't notice the incoming attack.
"Killer Move: Blade of the Past."
This move combined the Path of Time with the Path of Immortal Space. Even a rank 8 would be in trouble in the face of this move! Yefen didn't even realize when he died.
Cheon Ma didn't waste any time; using his spatial path methods, he sealed the fallen immortal openings and went straight to plunder the Xia clan's resource points!
Waking up from his dream, baby Cheon Ma began to ponder his situation.
It had been a few days since he was born. His life as a baby was very peaceful; Cheon Ma had no responsibilities or duties, only eating, sleeping, relieving himself, and occasionally grabbing some fingers.
Despite the frustration of not having full control over his own body, Cheon Ma neither wanted nor could accelerate his growth.
As his thoughts wandered, he snapped out of his musings when he noticed his mother getting up. It wasn't difficult for him to figure out her name. As soon as he got a good look at Elina, Cheon Ma realized how refreshed she seemed.
'Maybe it's the effects of that magic.'
Elina was a beautiful woman in her twenties. Her figure was well-endowed in all the right places. Her light brown hair had reddish hues throughout. Her body was fit, honed by hard work.
After wrapping the baby so meticulously that it was impossible for him to move, Elina placed him in her sling, creating a mobile baby cradle that allowed her to hold him with minimal effort.
As much as being so immobilized and defenseless bothered him, Cheon Ma found the warmth of his mother's body a little too comforting.
'Perhaps this baby body is affecting me more than I'd like to admit.'
As they left the small room, Elina saw her eldest daughter, Rena, fiddling with the fireplace.
*"What in the name of the Great Mother do you think you're doing, Rena? The sun hasn't even risen yet, you should be sleeping. And you know you're not allowed to mess with fire!"*
Elina whispered, trying not to wake the house.
*"I'm sorry, Mom. I just wanted to surprise everyone. I thought that since you'd be tired because of baby brother Raizel, waking up to a warm house and breakfast ready would help you recover faster."* The girl's face showed only sincere concern.
*"There's no need to worry, silly bee. Your mother is a pro when it comes to children."* Elina said, ruffling the girl's hair.
Rena, along with her twin brother, was the eldest child. She was eight years old, and her blonde hair with streaks of black was the reason behind her nickname.
Elina gently pulled her away from the fireplace and, with a flick of her finger, lit the fire.
*"Infiro!"*
It wasn't the first time Cheon Ma had seen magic being cast, but it always amazed him. His big eyes sparkled as he watched the fire burn. In his past life, people could only do such things using Gu.
As he watched Elina begin preparing breakfast, Raizel let his mind wander through his memories.
He started thinking about the first time he saw a Gu, when his father shared his experience of awakening his aperture, and finally, his own awakening ceremony.
Closing his eyes, Raizel began to recall the sensation of awakening his core. Taking a deep breath, he started to relax his entire body, focusing on drawing more and more air into his lungs and holding it for a few seconds before exhaling. He directed his focus back to the moment he saw the midwife cast the healing spell.
Raizel was pulled out of his thoughts when his mother gently squeezed his cheeks. Seeing her son's big eyes, Elina could only think about how adorable he was.
After a while, everyone sat at the table. The family consisted of Raaz (father), Elina, two daughters (Rena and Tista), and two sons (Orpal and Trion).
The table was relatively quiet, so Raizel had no trouble learning the magic word for water when his father filled some jars.
*"Jorun!"*
---
After everyone left for their daily routines, Elina moved to a rocking chair with Raizel.
During the morning, Raizel took a good look around the house and was displeased to realize that there was no indoor bathroom. The house consisted of a large room used as a dining room, kitchen, and pantry, with three doors leading to the bedrooms and nothing more.
Raizel watched closely as Elina conjured elements to handle household chores. Using the wind magic word, Elina summoned three small whirlwinds that moved around the house, collecting and getting rid of dust.
Whenever someone dirtied the floor with soil or mud, a simple wave of her hand and a "Magna!" would send it back out through the same door it came in.
Raizel observed that magic was commonplace; even the youngest used it to make their lives easier. When bedtime came, Raizel had already developed a method to experiment with magic.
After Elina unwrapped him and fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow, Raizel chose to use the air element for his first attempt. Fire was too dangerous for a novice like him, while water could end up waking his mother. There was no dust in his room, and he didn't yet understand how light and darkness magic worked.
Using his soul sense and a breathing technique, he began to recall the sensation he felt when witnessing the midwife's spell.
Slowly, multicolored specks began to appear. Once he recognized the colors, Raizel associated them with the elements: blue for water, red for fire, yellow for wind, orange for earth, white for light, and black for darkness.
Raizel used his breathing to draw in as many 'colors' as possible into his body. Ten breaths later, he felt the energies rushing toward his solar plexus.
With a wave of his arms and a soft "aaeh," Raizel manipulated the wind around him to lightly move his mother's hair.
A slight smile appeared on his face, even though he was exhausted.
*"Magic really is something else."*
Raizel fell asleep.
