5. Humans
Slime facility: (F rank); 12 ft (3.66 m) by 5 ft (1.52 m); generator used to condense the dungeon’s mana into a semi-solid substance with a core to artificially manufacture the unintelligent lower life form slime; (transcendence of the artificially created slime can be forcibly stopped); 120 points.
Alright, my first big purchase for the dungeon, well, second, but who’s counting? I bought it, and I heard the system’s voice.
<Please choose a location for the slime facility.>
I knew I was going to ask me that. Sylvan and I had been talking a lot for the past 2 days, and we agreed on a location, remembering what he said.
“Even though humans are now weak, and they won’t be able to damage the slime facility that might not be the case in the future, and slimes kill each other normally and level up, my recommendation is to have the facility as close as possible to the admin room”
So I did. I had the slime facility in the room that connects to the admin room; I'll call it ‘room 1’ for now on, right next to the stairs going up to the admin room.
And yes, weirdly enough, in these past 2 days I discovered that I could observe everything within my dungeon. I mean, it’s by no means comfortable, and I'm definitely not used to it, but if I focus really hard, I can practically see everything at once.
After I bought the slime facility, I kept looking at it for half an hour, then got board and went back to sleep, which is ironic to get bored with something that can create life in half an hour.
What did the slime facility look like? Well, it looked like sci-fi shit—something that absorbs mana from one end and spits out a slime from the other.
Oddly enough, They had different colors, with light blue being the dominant one. I asked Sylvan about it, and it was basically which mana element was the most dominant in slime that determined the color.
As I said, boring. The only interesting thing was when they fought each other's. If you can call that a fight, it’s just that when they touch each other, they start to merge, basically becoming a slime with two cores. That’s until one of them breaks apart.
The remaining slime is bigger and stronger.

“So, Mr. Watson, tell me more about yourself. Your résumé is too formal to know someone,” a man wearing a suit said while having a serious face with interlocked fingers resting on his desk.
I took a deep breath. “Sir, my name is Alex; I'm 19 years old; I’ve always wanted to become a police officer, but I couldn't be due to not having citizenship; but I'm a legal resident; and I have finished my pre-assignment tanning and my on-the-job tanning while I was working for AST Security Services.”
The man leaned back on his chair. “You worked at AST Security Services for half a year, and based on the letter of recommendation, you were doing great. Why did you leave?”
“Because I didn’t want a desk job, sir.”

That man was intense; he spent 2 hours asking me about every senior that came to mind. Well, anyway, I did well, and I think I will receive good news soon, I thought while walking back home.
And that’s when I heard a booming sound going off in all directions, the earth shook, and I fell.
It might’ve been dark, but I saw a bright light above, the sky changing colors and columns of bright light just like the sun braking from the earth to reach the sky and beyond, straight up to an apocalyptic scene.
As I was in a stupor over the imminent annihilation of the world, a voice that doesn’t belong to this genre sounded in my head.
The <ascension system is active; please call for status when prepared.>
“Huh”

Alex wasn’t the only one experiencing this; the earth shook and the sky’s color began to change, but probably the most shocking thing was the around 4000 columns of pure light that went through the changing sky.
These changes lasted for 6 hours; the sky returned to normal, although it was bluer; the earth stopped shaking; the columns of light started to die down; and different shapes of doors with red light inside of them started to be seen from within the dying light.
People experienced an increase in their physical strength within these 6 hours; some people lost weight, some with simple sickness got better, and even some people with Alzheimer started to remember things.
Those people who saw their status window when the changes started realized what happened—their stats were going up, as if something was pushing them forward.
People didn’t know what was happening; some were worried, some were excited, but one thing is for sure: the defense forces, police officers, and military were working extra hours this day.
Some curious people and government personnel around the world entered the doors; it doesn’t matter which side of the door they entered; very few came back. It’s safe to say they didn’t have good experiences.
About 8 hours from the moment the changes started to happen, most governments in the world closed off the areas of the doors, not allowing anyone to enter them.
However, out of anyone's expectation, the voice that gave them the system started to be heard in the ears of those who were closing the entrance.
<the dimensional gate is free to enter by all those who are brave enough to venture; it has been identified that you are using physical methods to prevent other individuals from entering; Stop these measures, or measures will be used against you.
People started to falter, and who could blame them? After all, this is a voice that speaks in their heads, but they weren’t normal people but trained personnel; they stood firm. When they told their commanding officers, some were ordered to fall back, while some commanders ordered them to stay put.
And within 5 minutes of the warning, everyone who was defending the gate was dead; there were no screams, no pain, just a swift death.
That’s when governments across the world started a different approach to advising the people not to enter the gates, and in most cases, military personnel were the ones entering the gates before normal citizens.
The first one to level up was a police officer in London, England, When they saw what this entailed, they couldn’t allow normal citizens to enter the gates, but they couldn’t physically stop them. Some military officers started new inventive ways of stopping normal citizens, but the system gave them the swift death threat, so they stopped.
It was practically pandemonium and chaos for the first 24 hours of the changes.
Around the world, there are gates; if you go through them, there will be no hope of you coming out. In these gates, even government personnel wouldn’t enter; only the idiotic would enter, even with all the government's recommendations to leave; so some people started giving them names.

Alex Watson stood in a dark room, his face, and hands covered in blood. A clinking sound of a falling piece of iron resonated within the room.
“I did it.”

When these changes started to happen, I saw the status window. I knew what I had to do, so I ran toward the closest column of light; luckily, it only took me 20 minutes. While on my way, I picked up an iron pipe from the ground.
At first, I thought that when this column of light disappeared, there would be monsters coming out, but to my surprise, six hours later, only a door covered with some light remained. I would rather not waste my time thinking about it, so I risked everything and entered.
The first thing I noticed when entering the door was the system voice.
<you have entered Tymposia>
And… a punch of goblins, half my height, green, pointy ears; however, their usual characteristic of being fat, disgusting, and unable to use weapons is all wrong; they were muscular, most holding long daggers and bows. I immediately regretted my decision, but as I turned to look back, I noticed something thin that covered the gate. I knew I fucked up. Then, I took a last look at my stats, which kept increasing for the past few hours, and decided.

All I need is to kill some of these things, level up, and kill more; I just need to be careful.
I clenched the pipe in my hand, ran as fast as I could to the closest goblin, and struck as hard as I could. The goblin was surprised that I would attack him, and didn’t even have an opportunity to respond before I crushed his head into a pile of gore.
I was surprised at my strength for a second. Before I came back to my senses and saw the other goblins coming my way, I picked up the dagger that the goblin held in my left and started to fight.

In a well-lit room, Ternom, the dungeon master of Tymposia, sighed, “My beautiful assistant, I don’t think these goblins are enough to kill him; the goblin facility didn’t have enough time to make more goblins and for them to kill each other’s and level up, and this person has freakishly good stats for level 0.”
Ternom assistant sitting right next to him looked into the distance as if she could see what was happening all the way to the entrance where the fight was happening. She answered, “I agree.”
Ternom sighed again. -I wish assistants would be more people, after all, who am I supposed to talk to, that big goblin?-
Right next to the admin room exit sat a big green man like the hulk but a little smaller; his name was Tarvark, a goblin, but not like the other goblins that are being slaughtered; after all, he was an intelligent life form who sees the other goblins here as nothing more than common bests.
He was a recruited subordinate, solely for his incredible compact power.
“Tarvark, the first line of goblins is getting slaughtered”
He looked at me calmly and asked, “Should I go and kill the human?”
I answered, “He has killed many goblins; you might get a level up from him.”
He got up and shook his head. “I won’t level up from such weak energy.”
Ternom mused. Tarvark was only level 3, so leveling up should be easy, but in reality it’s very, very difficult to jump levels, and that’s why people like Tarvark come here, either because they would rather not take the unimaginable risk of leveling up in their worlds, which is basically killing many creatures of a higher level, but even those are limited, so some can’t get the chance and decide to join a dungeon master.

Alex continued the slaughter, one by one, until all he could see was blood. He took a few arrows, but I couldn’t stop. He kept killing until he was the only one left in the room.

“I did it.”
When I was on the brink of death, I looked back to see the dungeon gate open. I gathered all my remaining strength and moved toward the gate. Just when I was 3 feet away from the gate, I heard a sound. I moved my head slightly to look back while keeping moving forward. When I saw him a goblin very far away, no was he even a goblin?, he was holding a spear in a throwing manner.
I had no time to think; the second I saw him throwing the spear, I jumped to my left, dodging it with my breath.
-that speed, from this distance, how strong is he? I was sure that by the time I got up, I would be dead.-
I looked back to see the goblin standing there, not moving, with a look of contempt on his face.
Likewise, I looked back at him for a couple of seconds, then turned back and moved to the exit.
I walked out of the gate, half dead and falling to the ground. When I was about to faint, I heard someone screaming, “Medic.” A smile curled up on my lips before I fainted.
