After lunch, Xiaogao drove, and Xu Chaomu, along with Xia Chuqing and Xiaobao, went to Shen Group.

Upon arriving at the group, Xu Chaomu had a secretary take Xia Chuqing on a tour while she went up to the president's office with Xiaobao.

Shen Chi hadn't been told in advance because she wanted to give him a surprise.

Several bodyguards were standing outside the door. They bowed when they saw Xu Chaomu and said, "Good day, Mrs. Shen."

Xiaobao curiously looked around. This place is so big, much bigger than the Shen Family's home.

Xiaobao tried several times to break free from Xu Chaomu's hand, wanting to run around and play by himself, but Xu Chaomu held on tightly, not letting him run off.

"Is President Shen inside?" Xu Chaomu asked.

"President Shen is in a meeting. It should end in about a quarter of an hour. Shall I call you?"

"No need, I'll just wait for him."

"Alright."

Xu Chaomu brought Xiaobao into the president's office. This time, Xiaobao let go of Xu Chaomu's hand and jumped right onto Shen Chi's chair.

"Daddy's office is so big." Xiaobao was very happy.

"Don't mess up daddy's things, or he'll spank you," Xu Chaomu hurried over.

There were important documents on Shen Chi's desk, and they must not be messed up.

"No, I am being good," Xiaobao lay on the desk.

"Come down, come down now." Xu Chaomu anxiously picked Xiaobao up.

Good he was not, his little hands had already touched Shen Chi's papers. Xu Chaomu checked and they were important business contracts. Thankfully, Xiaobao's hands were not muddy.

"No, no, I don't want to be held, I want to play by myself."

"Move around again and I'll take you home."

"Mommy bad... bad..." Xiaobao was frightened by Xu Chaomu and started to cry, crying loud enough to shake the heavens.

"No crying allowed."

"I will cry..."

Xu Chaomu was speechless, and there wasn't much in Shen Chi's office that was fun to play with anyway.

However, Xiaobao was just making a fuss and stopped crying after a while, then sat in the chair and played by himself again.

"Photo..." Xiaobao pointed at the photo frame on the desk.

Xu Chaomu glanced at it, it was a candid photo of her and Shen Chi, the one taken at the beach.

Unexpectedly, Shen Chi had kept it on his desk all this time.

Xiaobao pointed at the photo of Xu Chaomu and said, "This auntie is prettier than mommy."

"..." Xu Chaomu twitched the corner of her mouth, the little guy really held a grudge, just like Shen Chi.

"I want water." Xiaobao looked at Xu Chaomu eagerly, blinking his big eyes.

"Sit still and be good, mommy will go pour it for you," Xu Chaomu instructed him.

"Alright..." Xiaobao dragged out his voice.

Xu Chaomu walked out of the office and said to the bodyguard at the door, "Where can I get some warm water?"

"Madam, I'll take care of it. Please, just wait a moment."

"Thank you, I appreciate it," Xu Chaomu smiled.

Xu Chaomu took a look from the doorway. This floor was spacious, with only the president's office. She remembered that the last time she had come to the group was on New Year's Eve.

That time, Shen Chi took her to watch the fireworks from the top floor.

Afterwards, she got drunk and, in a daze, ended up on the 'pirate ship' again.

Thinking back to those fireworks, a honey-like sweetness spread through her heart.

Xu Chaomu returned to the office, only to find upon entering that Xiaobao was happily making paper airplanes.

"Xiaobao, who allowed you to touch daddy's things? Put it down," Xu Chaomu quickly shouted.

That little rascal, Xiaobao, actually used Shen Chi's documents to make paper airplanes!

Xiaobao froze, guiltily put down the airplane, and looked at Xu Chaomu with an aggrieved expression.

"You really don't listen at all. Didn't we agree at home no to touch daddy's things? Didn't you hear?" Xu Chaomu was a bit angry, she slapped Xiaobao lightly.

"Wuu wuu..." Xiaobao cried.

Xu Chaomu quickly snatched the documents from Xiaobao's hands; they were a land acquisition contract.

Unfortunately, they had already been torn up by Xiaobao.

"What happened?"

Just then, a deep voice sounded at the doorway; Shen Chi had returned from a meeting.

Seeing Shen Chi arrive, Xiaobao jumped down from the chair and stumbled into Shen Chi's arms, hugging his legs.

"Mommy hit me..." Xiaobao said with an aggrieved tone.

Shen Chi's suit got all wrinkled from the rubbing, and he hooked his lip into a small smile: "Why did she hit you?"

"Because she's jealous of me."

"..." Xu Chaomu was speechless with exasperation.

"What's there to be jealous of you for?" Shen Chi laughed.

"I'm younger."

Shen Chi picked up Xiaobao and walked over.

This little guy was just like Xu Chaomu when she was a child, precocious and able to say anything.

Xu Chaomu slapped a paper airplane in front of Shen Chi and said aloofly with folded arms, "You handle it."

Shen Chi took a look and frowned: "Land acquisition contract."

Xiaobao also seemed to realize he had done something wrong, burying his head in Shen Chi's suit, not daring to look up.

Shen Chi glanced at Xiaobao in his arms and said coldly, "Do you know you did something wrong?"

Xiaobao stayed silent, biting his fingertips.

"Speak up!" Shen Chi said sternly.

Xiaobao was most afraid of his father who was scarier than mommy when he got stern.

Xu Chaomu said, "I've told you at home that it's fine to play here at daddy's place, but you must not mess with things, yet you don't listen. Now, apologize to your dad."

Xiaobao was still hiding in Shen Chi's embrace, feeling a bit frightened.

The little guy bit his fingertips and rubbed against Shen Chi's suit, trying to wheedle his way out.

"Do you know your fault now?" Shen Chi asked in a cold voice again.

Tears started swirling in Xiaobao's eyes as he said softly, "I know now..."

"Speak louder," Shen Chi chided.

"Xiaobao was wrong."

"Hm," Shen Chi's tone finally relaxed, "Knowing your mistake means you must change, understand?"

"Understand."

"Will you dare to mess around next time?" Xu Chaomu asked.

Xiaobao rubbed against Shen Chi's shirt, everyone is so fierce...

"I won't dare anymore..." Xiaobao obediently admitted.

"More obedient than you were at the same age," Shen Chi glanced at Xu Chaomu.

"..." Xu Chaomu instantly felt so embarrassed!

Having a husband who knows all about her childhood misdemeanors is a painfully embarrassing experience!!

As a child, she was famously stubborn and unyielding, immune to reprimand; she always had a slew of reasons to argue back, even if it was nothing but whimsical defiance!

But Shen Chi was the one who could subdue her, if not at once then over time, and she was somewhat afraid of him.

"Xiaobao won't dare anymore..." Xiaobao repeated, stealing a fearful glance at Shen Chi.

"Hmm, go play by yourself."

Shen Chi set Xiaobao down, and as soon as his feet touched the floor, he obediently sat down on the sofa.

Dad's office had nothing in it, nothing fun; he just sat there blinking his big eyes around.

Just then, Xiaobao caught sight of a very pretty aunt passing by the doorway. He quickly jumped down from the sofa, steadying himself against the wall as he walked to the doorway, and familiarly called out, "Auntie..."

The woman was one of Shen Chi's female secretaries. She paused, smiling, "Hello there."

"Auntie, you are so pretty." Xiaobao looked up at her with adoring eyes.
