I Was Reborn in Another World, But I Awoke Inside a Corpse

Chapter 131: Chapter 133: The Aftermath of Gluttony

Chapter 133: The Aftermath of Gluttony

The world was quiet.

Ash drifted like snow through the ruptured chasm, glowing faintly as it settled over blackened stone and fractured roots. The once-pulsing corruption that had saturated the Abyss was gone. All that remained was stillness… and Isaac.

He stood in the eye of the devastation, leaning on a conjured spear planted into the ground, his breath ragged, his body bloodied—but upright.

Then the system spoke.

Isaac didn't respond right away.

He let the weight of the silence settle in.

His pulse had slowed, but his mind raced.

'Three EX+ ranked skills… That's more than I expected.'

The system pinged again.

Level Up![Level 68 → 81]

He blinked.

'Thirteen levels in one fight.'

The stat boosts were immense. His body already felt different—tighter, faster, stronger. He could feel Beelzebub's energy unraveling inside him, slowly converting into his own strength, filtered and restructured by [Soul Devourer Matrix].

"He wanted to eat the world," Isaac muttered, eyes narrowing. "Now the world devours him."

He opened his status briefly—not to admire it, but to assess the cost. Most of his mana was gone. His endurance was barely keeping him upright. The air itself still clung to the scent of voided life.

He looked up.

Footsteps approached.

At the edge of the scorched battleground, Sylvalen stood with Lira beside her.

Their arrival was quiet—but the moment they saw him, their breath caught.

Sylvalen's eyes widened, lips parting in disbelief.

He looked like a ghost of flame and shadow—armor cracked and stained, cloak shredded, weapons gone. But the fire in his eyes was unmistakably alive.

Lira's expression softened.

"You idiot," she whispered, voice breaking with emotion. "You really did it."

Isaac turned, one corner of his mouth twitching into a weary grin.

"I had to. He was getting annoying."

Sylvalen stepped forward, her gaze scanning the field. "That... thing. It's really dead?"

Isaac nodded. "Gone. And his corruption with him."

They crossed the battlefield to reach him—Sylvalen steady, Lira cautious but emotional.

He looked at both of them.

Then collapsed to his knees.

But not in weakness—in release.

He had carried that weight alone.

Now it was over.

Sylvalen knelt beside him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

"You fought for this world," she said softly, pressing her forehead to his. "And it will never forget."

Lira reached out and took his hand in hers, holding it tight.

And in the ashes of the Sin of Gluttony, the three of them remained—silent, connected by what had been overcome.
