I Want to Die, But I Am Immortal

Adam's eyes opened. He was staring up at the dusty underside of a maintenance hatch. He saw that he was still lying on top of the lift. Seeing this Adam was very surprised.

He pushed himself up into a sitting position. Because Adam saw that his respawn time had been increasing continuously.

He was coming back closer and closer to the moment of his death. But this was the first time that Adam had woken up so far back. All the way back to the hotel. He had been given a second chance. A real one.

But then Adam did not waste this time. There was no room for confusion or relief. He immediately ran from there. He scrambled down from the lift's roof. He landed silently on the floor of the empty corridor. He started to go outside.

The same policeman who had seen Adam in the previous loop saw Adam again. He was standing near the entrance of the hotel. He saw Adam emerge from the shadows. The officer's face went blank. He completely ignored him.

He knew that his commissioner had warned him to completely ignore Adam. It was an order that had been passed down through the entire department.

And most of the policemen knew this. So he also saw Adam. And he knew deep down that it must have been Adam who had killed so many people here.

But he was not going to tell anyone about this. He valued his own life too much. Adam left from there. He walked right past the officer without a word.

Adam now had only one target. Only one goal. Adam had to kill all those people. All of them. But first he had to kill the person who had deceived him so easily. The one who had used his own humanity against him. And that was Monica.

Adam knew where Monica was at this time. He knew her location. And he also knew that the second killer the sniper was present in the house next to Monica's. He had a clear picture of the battlefield in his mind.

However Adam did not know that in the house where Monica was sleeping at that time the leader of The Ghost Group Cyan was also present right below her. He was in the command center they had set up in the basement.

But Adam suspected that something was wrong. How could it be that the killer was there and Monica was just sleeping there? There must be something wrong. It was too much of a coincidence. Adam had some suspicion. But he had to confirm it. He had to know the truth.

Then Adam ran. He moved through the empty pre-dawn streets like a ghost. He reached there very quickly. Adam saw that it was still completely silent here like before. The neighborhood was asleep.

Then Adam very slowly went into the house where Monica was. His movements were fluid and silent. This time instead of going directly into her room like before he very slowly went inside from the boundary of the house.

He scaled the low garden wall without a sound. He landed on the soft grass. Adam saw that the windows downstairs were completely covered.

Thick black curtains were drawn tight blocking any view. Because of which he could not see what was happening inside. He couldn't tell if the house was empty or full of enemies.

Adam had a suspicion that Cyan might be in this house. The thought was a cold knot in his stomach. Because Monica was also present here.

It made sense for the leader to be near his top agent. But he had to confirm this. He couldn't afford to make another mistake.

Then Adam remembered that last time when he had killed the sniper in the house next door he had heard Cyan's voice on the communication device.

That was his only solid piece of information. But Adam did not want to take this risk this time. He would not confront them head-on.

He would launch a surprise attack on them. And he would try to get as much information from them as possible before they could react.

Then Adam slowly decided that he could not see any way to look inside the ground floor. The house was a black box. So Adam not wanting to risk his position on the ground decided that he would now go to Monica's room.

From the last encounter in the previous loop it was clear that Monica was really sleeping. She had not been faking it. She had been genuinely surprised and scared when he had grabbed her. That meant her room was likely unguarded.

So Adam quietly started climbing up. He found handholds in the rough brickwork of the house. He moved with a practiced ease.

He was now next to the window of the room where Monica was sleeping. He could hear the faint sound of her breathing from inside.

Adam removed that window very quietly. Last time Monica had not been very suspicious. Nor had she woken up from sleep. Because Adam's stats were so high that his perception level was very high. His movements were almost completely silent. That is why he had entered Monica's room quietly before. And he did so again now. He slipped through the open window

And Monica didn't even know it. However this time his stats had increased even more. Because the stat points he had not yet received from the system he got them this time after waking up on the lift.

He got them for killing all the people present in that hall in the guise of Philips. And now Adam's stats had crossed 400.

Because of which Adam could even break iron chains if he put his mind to it.

Adam jumped inside the room very comfortably. He jumped in such a way that there was no sound at all. He saw Monica lying on the bed next to him.

He remembered the last time. In the last loop when he was fooled by this Monica. Then he went to the bed.

He took the many tissues that were on a table in that room and made a small ball in his hand. Then Adam hid next to the bed right in front of Monica.

He extended his finger and tapped on Monica's shoulder.

Monica who was sleeping suddenly opened her eyes as soon as she felt something tapping on her shoulder. She saw Adam in front of her.

Before she could react Adam's hand moved forward with lightning speed. One hand went behind Monica's neck and was pulling her forward. Monica was using all her strength. And she had just woken up from sleep.

Things around her seemed very strange. She did not understand what was happening. Adam's actions were making things even more surprising.

Then Adam who had the tissue ball in his other hand immediately stuffed it into Monica's mouth. So that she could not make a noise. He immediately removed his hand and grabbed both of Monica's hands with both of his hands.

He brought them to her feet. He tied her hands and feet together with the rope that he had in his inventory.

And very tightly. Because of which Monica's hands and feet started to hurt. But she could not say anything. Because Adam had attacked her so suddenly.

She was very surprised. Because Adam was the same target that they had been after for several hours.

Or rather for a whole day. She was so surprised that they had been after Adam so cleanly. But suddenly

Adam was launching a surprise attack on them.

She had to warn her leader. But she thought that she should somehow signal the people downstairs by hitting her body against the wall or by making some noise.

Then Adam moved forward. He picked up Monica in his arms. He laid her on the ground very gently. And sat in front of her. Monica was even more surprised to see Adam.

Now she really felt that when the Royal Family had summoned them they thought that it was an overkill.

For a child they were sending the famous Ghost Group after him. But now she understood how dangerous this child was. The Royal Families' fear made a lot of sense.

Then a knife suddenly appeared in Adam's hand. Seeing this Monica was even more surprised. And before she could say anything with gestures or even blink her eyes Adam immediately stabbed the knife into Monica's feet.

As soon as the knife entered Monica's feet she tried to make a sound. But a very faint sound came out. Because her mouth was stuffed with tissue.

Then Adam moved forward. He said to Monica in a very low voice "Answer my questions by shaking your head yes or no." Monica was not just any assassin. She decided that whatever answer she gave to Adam would be a lie.

Then another knife appeared in Adam's hand. Adam immediately stabbed the knife into Monica's other foot as well. Because of which she was in even more pain and agony. And she tried to scream again.

Then Adam said "If I have even a little doubt about any answer this process will continue." The only thing going on in Monica's mind was to somehow alert the people downstairs.

Then Adam opened his mouth again. He said in a very cold voice "How many people are downstairs?" He held out his hand and raised five fingers.

He said "Are there five people downstairs? The members of The Ghost Group?" Hearing this Monica realized that Adam knew about their location.

Thinking this many things were going on in Monica's mind. And most of all that there was a traitor in their group. Otherwise how could Adam know such a thing.

Then Adam's hand went to the knife that was still in Monica's feet. He grabbed it and said "You didn't answer." Then Monica shook her head in denial.

Then Adam took the knife out of her feet. Because of which Monica screamed again. And this time he brought that knife down again. And stabbed it one more time. He said "Remember this process will continue until you tell the truth."
