Chapter 630: 630 Fairy Tail: Erza and Allen - Moment of Intimacy, Erza's Painful Confession, Jellal Fernandez and Lucy, Juvia and Mirajane are Attacked.
The girl clung to Allen's chest, trying to control her emotions—but it was useless. She was held tightly and pulled in before her mouth was invaded.
"Mmh~"
It wasn't the first time. Allen already knew the taste of Erza's lips and their softness. Erza already knew his warmth that made her shiver and his breath that felt like a paralyzing and aphrodisiac poison.
Erza trembled while trying to respond, but her body wouldn't cooperate. Despite being able to slice through buildings with a swing of her sword, in this moment, her body had surrendered and yielded to the man who seemed intent on devouring her.
(Erza's POV)
My lips met his...
Something's wrong with me...
Since that shameful moment with Allen, I haven't been able to get him out of my head.
When I woke up the next day, I nearly blasted a hole through the wall just remembering the words I said! Why did I say that? Why was I willing to give up my purity? No... I know why. I knew it from the moment I met him. That man showed up to turn my world upside down...
I can't explain it clearly, but every part of him is pleasant, charming... even addictive.
There's no conversation with him that ever feels boring. Maybe I'm just a naive and weak girl who gave her wounded heart to the first man who made her feel safe after running from Jellal for so long... or maybe I just wanted someone who could make me feel protected.
"Erza..."
"Allen~"
No... I understand... Seeing his eyes staring at me while our bodies share warmth... I know. I've had feelings for him all this time.
Every time I'm near him, I feel the need to touch him. Every time I hear his voice, a smile appears on my face. Every time I see the girl by his side—and it's not me—I feel a pang in my chest... I get jealous when I see Lucy cling to him so freely. I envy how Juvia has no fear expressing her feelings, even knowing Allen hasn't returned them yet. I feel inferior, because even though Mirajane has a painful past, she can still smile with such charm and femininity.
Allen held me in his arms, pressing our bodies together. His hands on my back made my legs numb. His fingers tracing my skin made me feel a rush of pleasure through my body.
His lips... this electrifying, exciting, and addictive feeling—I don't want it to end...
Our tongues intertwined, and I wondered how long until I'd lose my mind and faint.
He grabbed my waist and moved me beneath him. Allen is a man, after all—he likes to be on top. Strangely, this feeling pleases me. He doesn't see me as Titania, the Queen of the Fairies, but just as a simple girl embarrassed by this intimate moment with him.
"Mmm..."
He kissed me again, but this time it was shorter, before kissing my neck, making me bury my nails in his back, and I give thanks that his body is strong and I won't hurt him for it. I can feel how much my body wants him—how much I want him...
He placed his hand on my abdomen. I felt ashamed—unlike Lucy, I have more muscle. I wonder if that bothers him?
"Ah~"
I let out a suppressed moan, but I got my answer immediately when his hands roamed my body as if memorizing every part of it. That made me happy... I know I have a good figure, but I'm not as feminine as Lucy or Mira.
Damn it, my jealousy again. I want to wear cute clothes too. I want to wear pretty dresses, but every time I try, I wonder if they'll suit me. But now, all those worries seem silly because the one man I want to want me... is devouring me.
We separated for a moment, and his eyes—his beautiful eyes and unfiltered face—appeared in front of me. I know he's considerate. In this situation, he wouldn't hide his face.
I reached out and caressed his cheeks. I've never cared about a man's appearance before, but right now, I wouldn't mind looking at this face forever. No—I correct myself—I desire it. Is that desire impossible?
In this moment, a thought crossed my mind: Are we going to go all the way? Would he really accept a broken girl like me?
I'm scared...
Allen touched my cheek, wiping away a tear I didn't even know had fallen... I can only cry from one eye, but that's natural. Half my tears dried up in the Tower of Heaven.
"I'm sorry..."
I apologized with a pathetic voice, but he just smiled and kissed me again, and I melted...
Erza Scarlet is a weak and cowardly woman...
To everyone else, I look terrifying. But they don't know the truth. They couldn't—because I've done my best to hide it.
I'm a coward...
Because my nightmares stopped the day I started living with him. Ever since I entered his world, I've felt protected, and I clung to him. To his warmth... to his protection...
I'm unfair...
Because before, I stepped all over Lucy's sincere feelings by trying to compete without even knowing if I truly loved him—or if I was just clinging to the safety he gave me.
I'm unpleasant...
Because before, I tried to give myself to him as a way to relieve my guilt... I wanted to trade my body for a moment of happiness that would distance me from so many painful memories... instead of giving myself as an act of love.
I'm weak. I'm a weak woman. I'm cowardly, selfish, unfair... and I don't deserve his love.
Even so, I want to say that despite all those flaws, now I can recognize my own feelings. No matter how pathetic I am... I want to hold onto him. I want to be with him.
Not for comfort. Not to cling to his warmth. But with all the honesty this wretched woman can muster—
"I love you..."
I don't know when it happened, but now I know...
At some point, I fell in love with him...
(End of POV)
....
There was a brief pause...
After Erza said those words, the kisses and caresses stopped. There was only an exchange of glances. Erza's real eye fogged up, and her lips—slightly reddened from the kiss—trembled.
"N-no..."
Erza started shaking, feeling like maybe she'd rushed things and ruined their relationship before it had even begun.
"I-I don't know what I was thinking... Allen, forget what I said..."
Erza tried to stand up and leave, not wanting Allen to see her cry. But she couldn't. Allen refused to move or let her go.
"After hearing such a beautiful confession from such a beautiful girl... what kind of man would I be if I didn't answer properly?"
Erza's heart pounded and her eyes filled with hope, but before she could process it she felt a surge of regret.
"Wait!" Erza pleaded, her expression full of regret.
"What's wrong?" Allen was taken aback, seeing how Erza's gaze shifted from that of a loving maiden to one filled with sorrow, fear, and regret.
"Before you respond, there's something you need to know..."
"It's about your past," Allen sighed. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to..."
"I have to!" Erza exclaimed with a trembling voice. "Let me tell you the kind of person I really am. Maybe it'll shatter the image you have of me—but I couldn't forgive myself if you accepted me without knowing my sins..."
Allen sat up on the bed. Erza sat too, though for a few seconds, she didn't dare look him in the eye.
There were so many doubts swirling inside her. She didn't want to do this... because maybe she was destroying what they had. But she had to. Her heart—her soul—told her she'd regret it forever if she didn't.
"Erza, I'm going to listen to the end," Allen said, giving the girl courage.
"I'm a liar..."
The first sentence was like swallowing glass, but once she gave in, the rest of the words flowed naturally.
"Everyone calls me Titania. They fear me, respect me, obey me, believing I'm a strong woman. But none of them know how insecure I feel without my armor... how weak and exposed I become if I go too long without it. Before I lived with you, I couldn't sleep. There were nights I woke up unable to breathe... and I'd put on my armor just to feel safe."
"I'm weak..." Erza grabbed Allen's hand.
"No one can imagine that the strongest woman in Fairy Tail has spent years running from her past. That despite being an S-Class mage, I'm afraid to face Jellal. That I chose to abandon my old friends for so many years. That's right—I abandoned them. Sure, when I escaped the Tower of Heaven I was just a child who had only just awakened her magic... but even years later, I never dared ask the Master or the guild for help. Because I was afraid... or maybe, even after everything he did, a part of me still hoped that deep down, the boy I once admired was still there."
Erza trembled, partly because she didn't want Allen to misunderstand her words.
"Him?"
Erza's lips tightened. Then she bit them. She had reached the part she least wanted to mention.
"He's Jellal Fernandes... though now he's the person who's hurt me the most... he was also... once... my first love."
Erza felt her chest bleeding as she spoke those words—not because of Jellal, but because of what Allen might think. Maybe she had just shattered all hope. Erza wanted to cry, but before she could, a warm hand landed on her head. When she looked up at Allen, he was smiling kindly, catching her completely off guard.
"I told you I'd listen until the end, and I promise nothing you say will change the way I feel about you."
Erza grabbed Allen's hand and kissed it.
"Thank you…"
She couldn't hide the smile on her face as she saw how willing Allen was to listen and accept her even after hearing everything. So she laced her fingers with his and began telling him everything about her past.
A long time ago, Erza's village had been attacked, and she, along with men, women, and children, had been captured and taken to a place called the Tower of Heaven. There, they were forced to work as slaves without rest, given barely any food, and whipped whenever they failed to meet expectations.
Allen's gaze turned cold. How old had Erza been when that happened? She had been traumatized by something like that? His thoughts grew colder and darker by the second. May the gods help any of those bastards who enslaved Erza if they were still alive—because their fate would be miserable. Unaware of Allen's thoughts, Erza continued.
In that place, she met several friends who clung to each other to keep hope alive.
Wally, Sho, Millianna, Simon... and Jellal. There was also an old man who taught Erza how to live and told her that if she ever escaped, she should go to Fairy Tail—a place that would accept her no matter what.
Jellal had been a natural leader, a boy who gave everyone hope. But then, he changed. He lost that hope and convinced himself he'd been chosen to revive Zeref. He became obsessed... and abandoned the hope he once inspired.
Erza managed to escape thanks to Rob, who sacrificed himself for her. Before she left, Jellal threatened her—if she ever revealed anything about the Tower of Heaven, he would kill her friends. She had been carrying that weight for years, hiding the truth, knowing that while she lived out adventures in Fairy Tail—even now, enjoying what might be the best day of her life—her friends were still with Jellal...
"Jellal and Siegrain…"
"They're the same person. Or at least I believe so—maybe Siegrain is a clone of Jellal…"
Allen regretted not killing Siegrain back when his instincts told him to. Everything made sense now. That's why Erza felt so afraid when they met him at the Magic Council. That also meant Jellal had infiltrated the council itself—but for what purpose?
Erza lowered her voice. "I wanted to hold on to the memory of Jellal—the beautiful memory of the boy who said my hair was pretty, who gave me the last name Scarlet. But because of that weakness… I sacrificed my other friends. I'm disgusting, aren't I?"
Erza let out a bitter laugh at herself. That's right… I'm that kind of woman. How could someone like me be loved?
"Erza…"
"No..."
'I don't want to hear it… I don't want to see disappointment in your eyes—not from you. I don't want to see pity. I don't want to see disgust. Please don't hate me!'
Allen's hand gently stroked her cheek, but Erza refused to look at him. Still, Allen insisted, and she finally gave in. But when she lifted her face, she didn't find any of the things she feared. Instead, she saw a warm, gentle smile, and eyes full of affection.
"Huh?"
"Erza, I liked you from the moment we met. Over time, I came to understand your eccentricities, your weaknesses, and fragility that you try so hard to hide. But I also saw beneath all that—a kind, fair, strong, and intelligent woman. Someone capable of taking command in difficult times, but also willing to take damage for her companions."
Every word reached deep into her heart, filling the emptiness that had lived there, sealing the cracks left behind by Jellal, holding her wounded soul.
"But not only that… I also saw a beautiful girl who likes cute clothes, who enjoys simple things, who wants to be loved but is afraid to love… Don't worry, nothing has changed for me, on the contrary, now I feel you closer..."
"…!!"
Erza nearly choked on her own breath hearing that. Her face turned so red it matched her hair—maybe even redder.
"As for my answer to your feelings…" Allen smiled as he leaned closer.
Erza could practically feel her heart trying to leap out of her chest. But if it meant having a heart attack, then so be it. Her eyes softened as happiness filled her beating heart.
*BOOM*
Allen froze the moment he heard the explosion. He had felt Lucy and Mirajane's pendants activate. But what worried him most in that instant… was that he hadn't had time to create one for Juvia.
"Erza, the others are under attack!"
Erza took half a second to react, already changing clothes into her armor. Allen was even faster—he had already grabbed her hand and used Apparition.
....
Meanwhile…
Lucy, Juvia, and Mirajane had lost the game and handed Allen over. Accepting defeat, they decided to visit the casino. Don't ask how age restrictions work in this fantasy world.
The three beautiful girls in evening gowns became the center of attention but none of them cared about the eyes watching them—and tried to enjoy themselves, doing their best not to think about what Allen and Erza might be doing alone in that room.
Lucy was dazzled by the bright colors and lights of the slot machines. Mirajane went to the bar to admire the skills of the vacation-resort bartenders. Juvia had the least motivation to enjoy herself, but Lucy pulled her along.
"Come on, you don't have to worry. Erza may be beautiful, but we both know she doesn't have the guts to make a move…"
Juvia smiled. "Sometimes you say clever things, Lucy-sama…"
"What do you mean sometimes?!"
Both girls laughed and tried to enjoy themselves at the casino.
Spoiler: they lost over three hundred thousand Jewels in half an hour and dragged themselves over to the bar to sulk with Mirajane.
"This can't be happening…" Lucy groaned, slumping over the counter.
Juvia clasped her hands together as if praying for forgiveness. "Juvia is a bad girl! Allen-sama, please forgive me!"
"Ara~, that's why I told you not to gamble…" Mirajane couldn't help but laugh at the situation.
"Excuse me, miss... would you mind if I offered you a drink~?"
A man's voice came from behind. Mirajane turned with a polite smile.
"Sorry, I have a boyfriend. And he's very jealous."
"That's a shame. Even though a dandy loves beautiful women, we never mess with those already in a relationship…"
Mirajane's eyes widened at the man's appearance—and Lucy and Juvia were just as surprised.
His face was long and sharply featured, dominated by a square jaw and small eyes. His slicked-back black hair gave him a stiff, old-fashioned look. He wore a brown retro-cut suit with a striped shirt underneath that made him look like a gangster from another era. The ensemble was topped off with a wide-brimmed hat, which he tilted with theatrical flair. But the most unsettling thing of all was his body—it looked like it was made out of Legos.
"My name is Wally Buchanan!"
Every movement of his was exaggerated, almost robotic, as if his body was engineered to shock and confuse. It matched his eccentric personality and love for the dramatic.
"Forgive my manners, ladies, but I'm afraid I'll have to be rude…"
Wally didn't give them a chance to react. Using his magic, he transformed his hands into pistols and opened fire on the three girls.
"Watch out!" Lucy shouted, but it was too late—and all three shots hit their targets.
