Chapter 479: 479 Invincible: The Girl Behind Monter Girl, Breaking the Laws of Physics for a Date, Kate's Trap and Destroying An Entire World.
(Temporary headquarters of the New Guardians)
Allen walked alongside Amanda through the place, heading towards the training area that Allen had destroyed. They currently use the Headquarters they had when they were the Teen Team, but as New Guardians of the Globe, they will have to move to the Pentagonite Headquarters where the Guardians died.
Upon arrival, there were drones, probably of Robot rebuilding.
"Wow, you really made a mess. I almost thought you were going to kill us~" Amanda snapped her fingers while teasing him.
"Oh~ and whose fist marks are those on the floor?"
"That... was Invincible!"
"Those are some pretty big fists..."
"They're from the gorilla!"
"I took that gorilla out in the first few minutes..."
"Oh come on, bro, don't you know they're going to deduct my bonus?!"
"You haven't even started working as a Guardian yet... You know what?" Allen grinned wickedly, "If they deduct your bonus, call me, and I'll shove audits up their asses. Haha..."
"You're terrifying when you want to be," Amanda said, a sweat drop forming on her cheek.
"I hear that a lot..." Allen smiled and made a gesture with his hands. The area began to repair itself. Every piece started to return to its place. The drones and robots working on the repairs stood in awe, trying to process this event.
Amanda's mouth opened in shock, "You're scaring me more and more."
"That's a shame, I'm not trying to be terrifying, not right now."
In a short time, all the damage had vanished as if by magic.
"Mmm..." Amanda looked Allen up and down, "Prove it."
"How?"
"Take me on an unforgettable date..."
"I'm sure that'll get me into a ton of trouble..."
"Tsk... well, it's normal, a normal guy would hardly pay attention to me..."
She had a strong mind, but that didn't mean she didn't have a heart. Amanda was genuinely hurt, although she knew better than to expect anything, not looking like this.
Allen extended his hand, "If the lovely lady will allow me, I'd be happy to take you on a date, with the condition that if you go overboard with me, I'll call the police."
Amanda's eyes widened, and then she burst out laughing until tears formed in her eyes, though it was hard to tell if it was from laughing or something else.
She grabbed Allen's hand, "Don't get too cocky, kid, I like older men~"
Allen smiled and teleported them. The next second, they were on the moon. Amanda looked in disbelief at the space, the stars, and Earth. Then she looked at Allen, who was calmly observing the space.
Amanda blushed, 'He's one hell of a player when it comes to charming women, bringing me straight to the moon... wait, the moon!'
Amanda covered her mouth as she held her breath but soon realized it wasn't necessary; she could breathe normally.
"What's going on?! I can talk?!"
Allen chuckled at Amanda's reaction; he snapped his fingers and made a campfire appear, with two large logs as seats and a large bag of marshmallows. Then he walked over, sat down, grabbed a marshmallow, and speared it with a stick before roasting it over the fire.
"No, no, no, bro, there's so much wrong here!"
Amanda couldn't believe what she was seeing. Had Allen really made a campfire on the moon, without oxygen, without an atmosphere? Leaving that aside, the fact she could talk and breathe was already strange.
Allen smiled faintly and looked at her, "Aren't you coming, Miss Amanda?"
"Ah, forget it!" Amanda felt like if she kept thinking about it, she'd go crazy. She walked over, sat next to Allen, and snatched the marshmallow, but burned her mouth because it was too hot.
"Oh, I think it's better to let them cool off a bit."
"Shut up!"
Amanda blushed, this time from the humiliation. She grabbed a stick, and they started roasting marshmallows together.
...
Twenty minutes later with full stomachs, Amanda and Allen lay on the surface, gazing at the stars, which were so vivid it felt like they could touch them.
Amanda got lost in her thoughts. This day had been surreal, and that's saying something considering she was a green troll who could break steel with her teeth.
"Did it happen?" Allen asked calmly.
"Yeah, I don't think I'll ever forget this date, there are like ten laws of physics broken, and I don't even care anymore."
"Haha."
"Allen..."
"What is it, Amanda?"
"How is this possible?"
"I thought you didn't care about... well, it's complicated." Allen put his hands on the back of his neck to use them as a pillow. "A long time ago, there was a king who granted his kids/subordinates a power called Schrift. This power manifested in different ways in each person, leaving the 'A' for the Quincy King and his heir, and the power that manifested was 'The Almighty.' His original heir manifested 'The Antithesis'..."
"You are..."
Allen shook his head, "I'm neither of them. The King who awaited his return had a tragic death. Before he died, he delegated his rights to someone else. That person is a false king... a child who conveniently appeared and had the ability to replace him as a false King... that's me. Among the powers I obtained was the Schrift of the letter 'A.' In my case, it manifested as 'The Absolute.' This power allows me to impose my will on the rules created by others."
"...!" Amanda stood up and looked at Allen, astonished.
"As you can see, I can breathe in space, create fire, control gravity, speak in a vacuum, and I don't use a specific power... is simpler than that... I just express a desire, and 'The Absolute' takes care of modifying whatever's necessary for it to happen. Even lying down with a lovely girl on the moon and receiving solar radiation without problems, it's not impossible..."
"A lovely girl?! me?!" Amanda stood up and looked at Allen with suspicion, searching for any trace of a lie in his words. Given her appearance, when she was complimented, it was usually either a joke or a tease, but she didn't see any of that in Allen's eyes. So, she became embarrassed, "Do you think that?"
"It's a tough life when you have to question even compliments... but yes, I do."
Amanda sighed and lay back down, "You can't even imagine... by the way, that power is disgusting, broken, too unfair, and very dangerous."
"Yeah, that's why it's called 'The Absolute.' I have a theory about why I have this kind of Schrift."
"Isn't it random?"
"Unexpectedly, no. From what I've seen with other users, the Schrift reflects a lot about its bearer, whether it's their personality, their past, their desires, or their identity. Every Schrift seems to have a connection to that. Just look at the king who wanted the world and got 'The Almighty.' That says a lot about him."
"Oh, so where does 'Your Absolute' come from? Is it from your need to prove you're better than everyone else?"
"Haha, is that the image you have of me?" Allen sat up and glanced at Amanda. "When I was little, I had a lot of bad luck. It wasn't just a perception, bad things really happened to me for no reason. From a ball at school miraculously hitting a tree, then a wall, just to smack me in the face, to my new clothes deciding they should tear in the most awkward spot in front of everyone."
Amanda smiled bitterly, "Man, that sounds like you had a tough school life..."
"You have no idea..." Allen smiled, then became serious. "People used to say it was a coincidence, but since then, I've hated luck. 'The Absolute' isn't meant to modify reality, it's a counter. As long as it's active, 'The Absolute' makes sure that no luck hits and changes the odds. There's no bad luck to ruin things, no fate to twist reality, no miracles... the will of the world, the will of god... nothing is permitted."
"That scares me..."
Allen relaxed his gaze, "But it's not perfect. Using it a little drains me too much..."
A bead of sweat fell down Allen's cheek. Seeing him sweat was almost impossible at this point, but there it was.
Amanda stood up, exploding with worry. "But are you stupid?! Let's go, fast!"
Makima – Allen, stop joking. You have dozens of ways to do this without exhausting yourself...
Artoria – Allen, this is reckless. In your own words, a power you can't control isn't reliable.
Wednesday – Idiot, use magic or whatever instead of hurting yourself.
Gwen – Sometimes you really do things for no reason.
MJ – For a moment, I thought you were exaggerating, but if it exhausts you, then don't use that power!
Annie – You don't know when something might happen that puts you in danger. Don't use your trump cards like that!
Allen smiled apologetically as he was scolded by everyone. "You're right, sorry."
Allen created an artificial atmosphere with magic. Amanda watched as they were enclosed in a bubble, and though she could be breathing, there wasn't much gravity now, and she started to feel light.
"It was harder than I thought to maintain my Schrift for so long..." Allen laughed at himself.
"You're a hopeless fool," Amanda sighed, giving him a sidelong smile.
Allen looked at her with a tired but kind smile, making Amanda feel uncomfortable. "Well, who asked me for an unforgettable date...?"
"Huh?"
Amanda stared at Allen, then widened her eyes, realizing that he had done this for her. At that moment, her mind stopped working, and it was hard for her to speak, "Y-You... you took it t-too seriously!"
Allen laughed and opened a portal to Earth...
From that moment, Amanda no longer looked up to meet his eyes and kept her gaze on the ground, too embarrassed to look at him.
Allen exchanged contact information with Amanda to resolve her main issue first, which was that her age was reversed every time she used her powers. Afterward, he'd figure out a way for her to look twenty-four again.
"Thanks..." Amanda murmured in a tiny voice before running away.
"Mmm, she's quite cute... I think she'd be the type of tough and uninhibited girl."
Natasha – ...
Diana – ...
Unohana – Ara, darling, don't play with young girls like that~
Kimiko – Allen is terrifying...
Cate – I'm so envious...
Emma Frost – What a charming man, but I'm concerned about how good he is at conquering women... at this rate, he'll hit triple digits before graduating...
Yoruichi – Hahaha, you're a bastard, a charming bastard...
Nanao – Pervert... truly an enemy of women!
Rogue – How lucky is that troll girl...
Ruby – That's right... I want to live that dream too~
Rukia – How scary... I feel like if he sets his mind to it, he could conquer any woman, don't do it!
Rangiku – Hehe, Allen-kun is so sexy~
Ivy – I'm speechless...
Akeno – Ara Ara, I knew my little brother had skills, but you even seduced your older sister indirectly~
Rias – Akeno?
Akeno – Ufufu, I mean, I wanted to say "sisters"...
Rias – I wasn't talking about that!
Annie – As scary as a snake charmer, but with women...
Raven – It happened again...
Kara – I can't even get mad anymore...
Barbara – Haha... my father will kill me if he finds out what kind of man I fell for...
Soifon – Tsk...
Aphrodite – Ah❤️~
...
Allen shook his head and arrived at Dupli-Kate's room. He originally came because Kate wanted him to train her, so Allen agreed to do it for an hour occasionally so people wouldn't say he had favoritism toward Eve.
Kate opened the door, or rather, one of her clones did, while another Kate sat on the bed with a provocative smile.
"Good morning, Allen, before we begin, why don't you come in and let me show you some hospitality..."
"..."
Allen observed another Kate at a desk, staring intently at him. One last Kate appeared, wearing only a towel. The system censored it just in time for the towel to fall, revealing the Kate in sexy lingerie...
"Really?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Don't blame me for trying..." said the Kate on the bed, seeing that her strategy had failed. All the Kates got discouraged and then merged until only the Kate on the bed remained. "You're a very hard man to conquer..."
"Well, you could start by inviting me for a coffee. You don't need to use such extreme methods..." Allen laughed.
Kate looked at Allen and scratched her cheek. "I suppose I owe you an apology, I thought you were more superficial than you are..."
"Well, it's not that I don't think you're attractive, but you know, I don't like forcing a relationship if there's no real interest behind it..."
Kate sighed and looked at him with resigned eyes. "Can I invite you for an ice cream at the stand across the street?"
Allen shrugged. "You should've started with that..."
Kate, expecting to be rejected, raised her head in disbelief. Had her casual and boring proposal been accepted?
Allen went out and had ice cream with Dupli-Kate—well, actually, five, which she had to buy for her clones. They then exchanged numbers, and the day ended.
...
Chicago had a peaceful day if you ignored the fact that the Flaxan portal had opened for the third time. People screamed in fear, but this time they evacuated faster. However, it seemed like a futile act—there were no tanks, no armies, just silence.
Allen arrived at the place, frowning and in a bad mood. He really couldn't feel any empathy for this race called the Flaxans.
"I let them go once... I let them go twice... there won't be a third time..."
Before anyone else could arrive, Allen crossed the portal, which closed behind him. Upon arriving in the Flaxan world, there was a marked difference in the temporal flow.
The sky was red, and everything else was the same. Allen arrived in a desert with no one else nearby. As expected, it was a trap.
*Boom*
"I'll assume those are their weapons..."
Allen lifted his gaze to see points of light in the sky, like a meteor shower, but they weren't stars. They were weapons of mass destruction. This trap was aimed at killing Allen, even if his planet was affected by this attack.
"Do they want to kill me?"
Allen mocked them and disappeared. In the sky, his expression became more serious, and his eyes flashed coldly. The weapons were intercontinental missiles similar to human nuclear warheads, but with a more futuristic aesthetic and some kind of blue aura emanating from the missile's body.
Allen thought that even if there were civilians in this world, it didn't change the fact that they were a very dangerous military empire, going from planet to planet, world to world, destroying, massacring, and enslaving others. How could they stop trying to conquer The Earth again and again?... perhaps the only way to put an end to this was to eliminate them.
No, those were just excuses. Allen had already shown mercy by letting them go before. There was no pity in his eyes this time. This was not to protect the earth, but simply because he was angry.
"Omni-Man took a day to destroy your civilization. How long do you think it will take me?"
Allen no longer felt the need to hold back. Seeing the sky filled with weapons of mass destruction, it was as if Russia and the United States had launched all their nuclear warheads at a single point.
Allen snorted with contempt, "Return their gifts..."
The system opened thousands of portals beneath the missiles, which were actually antimatter bombs. Each missile, originally intended to kill Allen, fell into portals that connected to different parts of his world.
From space, one could see the many highly technological cities existing in this world. This race was very advanced, but they made the mistake of not knowing when to stop their ambition.
...
The light from the explosions filled the surface as the large structures collapsed across the world. They were explosions so large that they were visible from space.
"..."
Allen watched in silence from space as massive explosions spread across the Flaxan world.
The planet was plunged into an apocalypse of global proportions. This was an ironic tragedy. The population was quickly exterminated by their own weapons.
Bocchi – It's very sad to see this, there was no way to just end their military force...
Esdeath – That's impossible, they are a race of conquerors. They dominated others with their military power. If they lost that, someone else would destroy them...
Albedo – Besides, these scum dared to think they could kill Allen-sama! They don't deserve mercy!
Artoria – I'm sorry Bocchi-chan, but this time there's no salvation for them...
They never imagined that Allen would be powerful enough to send the antimatter bombs back instantly, all over their world. There was nowhere to hide or escape... it was a massive and total attack on their world.
The last thoughts of the leaders were that they shouldn't have attacked Earth, but it was too late, and there was no antidote for regret.
===
A/N: Somehow, the Flaxans thought that the third time would be the charm, but instead they were wiped out... they must have felt like fools. 🍷
