Thinking of the situation, he couldn't help but feel as if a cold bucket of water had been washed over his face and his expression was very grim.

"If it is what I think it is"

"You will regret underestimating me"

He looked at his phone and saw the messages his mother sent and replied to them. He thought it was time and quickly typed something back aside from replying.

Cultivation and body refining, these two were naturally the two ways of cultivation in this world. One being easier to train whereas the other not. Of course it depended on talent, one had a high requirement for it whereas another not. Body refining was something that most people could do but it wasn't common. 

The reason would be that in order to maintain status quo, the nobility held off the knowledge of body refining millenniums ago and since then materials about it have disappeared and even if want to make an appearance again, it would be hard to do so. For now, only some nobility had some materials on it. Of course even if they could, they wouldn't necessarily do so. Body refining though may sound good on the surface as people with even low talent could body refine, it consumed a lot of resources. Grimes also had some materials regarding it but also his mother's family, the Levantes also had it. 

He wasn't unnecessarily giving up on cultivation either. Even though his previous talent was not there, his talent had degraded and only was an F level talent but who said that it would only stay there. As for the poison, he needed to visit someone. 

But before that, however, he had another matter to address.

Looking at the two beautiful women who were sitting on their respective seats in front of his own, he knew what they wanted to do. Their faces showed a bit of nervousness.

"Rex…"

Laura was speaking but Clarissa who couldn't wait any longer,

"Rex, where is your confession?" Clarissa blurted out, her face reddening immediately right after. A bit speechless, Laura looked at Clarissa. 

"Confession, what confession"

Rex feigned ignorance, a teasing glint in his eye. Clarissa upon hearing that started to stammer. It was that after she heard from Laura that they were going to force out his confession, testing the waters, her heart was beating and her mind was dizzy and she couldn't help but blurt out whatever she was thinking.

"That.. that"

Her face flushed crimson as she struggled to speak. Laura upon seeing this first though Rex was dense but seeing his face which was full of teasing, she knew that he was teasing Clarissa. But she had to stop it now, Clarissa and she was now in a team.

"Rex, stop teasing her"

"You know exactly what she was gonna say"

Clarissa upon hearing that quickly saw his facial expression which he tried to hide but Clarissa still saw it. Upon seeing it her face turned into a pout. 

"Okay, okay"

Rex upon seeing that it was a 2v1, stopped his mischief, raising his hands up in surrender.

"Do you both have feelings for me"

Both of them nodded. 

"Are you willing to accept each other… and perhaps more?"

Both of them nodded again but hearing the last word they looked at him.

"What do you mean by 'more'"

"Are you planning to take more women after us?"

Both of them turned to the aggressive.

"Ahem, it was just a slip of the tongue"

It seemed that his plan would not work yet but he wasn't worried as the favourability went above 100 it would turn into love between husband and wife and if he reached a high enough level in it he should be able to handle this discussion. In other words, he would just have to make the two of them love him so much that they can't leave him. 

"I…."

he began, pausing to gauge their reactions. They leaned forward expectantly, only to grow impatient as he hesitated.

"I also love you both"

"But do you really want to love someone like me"

Both of them looked at him in disbelief. 

"What's wrong with loving you"

"I don't have my cultivation now"

"I am now just a normal mortal whereas you two can still cultivate"

They both looked at him with a gaze that was questioning he asked seriously. 

"Are you questioning our feelings"

Both of the girls asked at the same time. Rex smiled at this.

"It seems that I don't even need to ask that"

"But I haven't seem to have seen whether you two really love me"

He said with a provocative gaze which flared a small anger in Laura as she smiled and got closer to him. Touching his face with her hands and squishing it, …

"Slurp...slurp..glup"

Clarissa upon seeing it, closed her eyes with her hands as her faced turned crimson but she still left a small gap between her fingers to look at the situation. It lasted for a few moments before Laura let go but she couldn't as there was a hand which tied her waist and brough it closer to him, not wanting to let her go and Rex started to get dishonest with his tongue. 

He only released her when she hit him on his chest though lightly. Laura's face was flushed and she was breathing heavily. Even though she wanted to just prove to this guy, it seemed that she had indeed fallen to his trap. 

"Satisfied now!"

Laura asked with a small trace of anger on her face. 

"Satisfied, satisfied"

He nodded again and again. Clarissa saw that it was finished so she removed her hands but her face was still crimson red. 

"Rex, your face"

He touched it and it felt a bit cold. Laura also forgot about the small anger she was feeling and asked with concern. There was ice on his face and even some icicles on his nose. 

"Ohh"

He snapped his hand and a small fire appeared on his hand and he flicked it to his face and the ice that was on his face was no longer there and his face turned to it's original colour. 

"Huh"

Both girls reacted with surprise. 

"That, magic"

"Yes, it's magic"

Rex said with a bit of mystery on his face, feeling a bit smug. Laura seeing this face pinched his waist. 

"Ouch"

Now, there was a satisfied Rex and on each of his legs sat a beauty. This was the compromise that was set for him telling about everything. There was a bright smile on his face, 

"Now tell us, already"

"Didn't you lose your cultivation"

"Okay, okay fine"

"I indeed lose my cultivation and my dantian was even damaged"

"That was the reason for me not being able to cultivate anymore"

"But I was able to recover my dantian a little while before with something my master gave me"

"Then you should be able to recover your cultivation, right"

"Not necessarily"

They held their curiosity when he said this.

"Even though my dantian was recovered, my talent is no longer what it used to be"

"It has regressed to an F talent"

Two gasps were released as both of them held sympathy for their lover. 

"Don't be worried, even if the path cultivation is not good"

"I can still try body refining"

"Don't tell anyone yet, this is our little secret"

Both Laura and Clarissa nodded. Clarissa didn't know what body refining was and wanted to ask him but another thought passed her mind and she changed course.

"Why did your face turned into ice, when you did ..that with Laura"

Laura held Clarissa's hand and

"I will explain about it later"

Rex interjected at this moment. 

"I also need to to tell you two about something"

"I will need to leave"

"Huh"

"Didn't you say that you were going to live here forever"

Clarissa's voice trembled slightly, her eyes starting to glisten. 

"Yes, but situations change"
