I Got A Title: Lord Of The Time!

Chapter 107: Beginning of a major battle

Days passed slowly.

A week had passed since Lin's fight with Jagot. During this time, Lin continued to actively participate in the fights organized for him by the Arena of Blood.

There were many spectators who wished to see Void in action, which brought in a large amount of money for the Arena of Blood and created a high demand for battles featuring Void.

This also pleased Lin greatly, since it allowed him to both train his abilities — constantly developing himself — and demonstrate his skills and swordsmanship to the local aristocrats, which could help him get out of here.

But unfortunately, in the more than ten days he had spent within these walls, there hadn't been a single person interested in sponsoring him.

And because of that, he continued to improve himself.

...

Lin was sitting inside his cell and looked forward, having noticed that the light of torches was slowly approaching his cell — torches held only by guards.

This meant that a fight involving him was about to begin.

He slowly stood up and approached the bars, looking around and slightly surprised that the guards had released several prisoners and were heading in his direction along with them.

"This is interesting... In the ten days I've spent here, this is the first time multiple people have been released at once. Could something interesting be coming up?"

Lin thought to himself and suddenly recalled something he had heard a week ago:

"A large fight... Ha-ha. Looks like the next few hours are going to be very interesting. As I understand it, there will now be a big battle where prisoners fight against prisoners?"

Lin continued to stand in place, observing the guards and prisoners heading toward him. When they arrived, they did the same thing they always did: warned Lin, then put shackles on his legs and hands.

Once the guards finished their work, they slowly stepped back and began to announce what would happen in the coming hours:

"A large battle is beginning. A total of twenty prisoners will participate. You must kill at least two people in order to survive. You know the rules. Now move out!"

Some prisoners' expressions changed. No, it wasn't fear or concern. On the contrary — complete bloodlust appeared on their faces, as if they were ready to kill several people at any moment, without any warning.

Naturally, Lin's face remained neutral. He didn't care about the prisoners' attitudes toward the upcoming battle, since he was going to kill them anyway.

At least two of them.

"Judging by their faces — they've done this before. And the length of their hair... They're clearly not bald, which means they've been here a long time," Lin concluded to himself as he quietly walked down the dark corridor with the other prisoners.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached a staircase and began to slowly ascend. And when they got to the top, they saw brightly lit corridors, lined with guards in plate armor.

Out of the roughly five prisoners, Lin was left alone, as each one was taken away by a separate guard. He too was led to the place where his weapon was kept — a violet katana.

As he approached one of the rooms, Lin carefully observed the red-orange corridor bathed in sunlight, trying to memorize the positions of every guard and the room with his gear.

"Don't even try it," a guard's voice suddenly said.

Lin understood that his careful observation of the corridor and guards had already been noticed by those escorting him.

He showed no reaction on his face and decided not to respond, realizing he would have to act more discreetly.

"I should remember that these people aren't ordinary... There could be a Mage among them."

They entered one of the rooms, where a cast-iron mask was placed on his face and his katana was handed to him. Then he was led further down the corridor until they reached the large doors leading to the arena itself.

Five men stood near Lin, ready to kill him instantly if needed.

They slowly began removing the shackles from his legs and hands, opening the large door he had to enter through.

"No funny business," one of the guards warned, handing Lin his katana.

Lin calmly nodded, knowing that any strange movement or reaction from him could instantly cost him his life.

He slowly entered the arena and heard countless screams and voices around it.

"That's the Wind Elder! And that's Fire Faris!"

"Hey, look! Void is entering!"

"Ha-ha-ha-ha! So even Void will take part in this full-blooded battle?! This is getting more and more intriguing!"

Countless voices echoed around the arena, while Lin curiously observed each prisoner he would have to fight here.

There were twenty people in total in the arena, including Lin. Each participant looked unusual, but they all shared one thing in common — the brown tunic and trousers.

Everyone had their own weapon and hair length — their bodies were different as well — but the clothing unified them and showed that they were all under control!

"How unusual..." Lin carefully studied each of the prisoners to understand them quickly and, if needed, use that information with his attack style.

As Lin observed the prisoners, he naturally noticed those who stood out from the rest.

"That man..." Lin looked into the distance at a middle-aged man with rather long hair that reached his shoulders.

He had red eyes, and his gaze was terrifying. But most importantly — he held a very long weapon, namely — a two-meter-long sword!

"A sword longer than himself... Why would he use such a weapon? His body doesn't seem particularly strong, but his gaze clearly shows confidence in his abilities. And the length of his hair... He's definitely been here a long time."

The man, naturally, noticed Lin's intense gaze from afar and slightly smiled at him through the cast-iron mask.

Lin felt danger!

"He's dangerous!" he frowned and quickly turned away from the man, looking instead at another prisoner who resembled a small boy.

His height was rather short, but his hair was very long — it reached halfway down his body. He held no weapon in his hands, but his nails resembled animal claws, which could indicate a beast-like fighting style.

"He's also quite dangerous... At first glance, he seems harmless, but like wild animals, he'll pounce on you in an instant and tear you to pieces."

No longer paying attention to that prisoner, Lin turned his gaze to a man who was staring at him.

It was an old man.

He had long white hair that was longer than his own body. He held a wooden cane in his hands, without anything sharp, and looked at Lin with a calm expression.

"He's dangerous too..." Lin instantly recognized that the danger from this old man was on par with the two previous ones.

He smirked behind his mask and thought:

"This fight will be very interesting..."
