Yuji's body lay still and unresponsive, but his mind stayed alert and aware.
In this strange mental realm, a bizarre scene emerged, revealing a haunting stretch where the earth throbbed like a sentient being composed of sinewy tissue, contorted ribs rising like the bony remnants of ancient, abandoned titans. Tendons snaked through the air, alive and writhing like conductive wires, while a towering hill of black, culture-ridden arms undulated in a terrifying rhythm, each appendage a grotesque mockery of life.
Atop this undulating mass reclined Sukuna, the formidable cursed king. He was a dark silhouette against the throbbing backdrop, his eyes glinting with malice that pierced through the gloom as he surveyed the chaos before him. The very atmosphere around him crackled with a palpable energy, heavy with dread and anticipation.
Yuji found himself rooted at the foot of this surreal throne, confusion cascading over him like a tidal wave. His heart raced, and the pulse of fear quickened his breath as he stared up into the abyss. It was a confrontation unimaginable, locking eyes with the malevolent figure looming above him.
"You..." he began, his voice hoarse and tentative, barely more than a whisper in the oppressive silence.
Sukuna, however, had little patience for incomplete thoughts. With a sudden surge of fury, he launched himself forward, descending the mound with heavy, thunderous steps. The multitude of grotesque arms beneath him writhed and snapped at the empty air, sensing the tension of the moment, eager to partake in the unfolding drama.
"You're the damn thing in my body," Yuji spat defiantly, his words tumbling out like an act of rebellion.
In an instant, before Yuji could brace himself, Sukuna was in front of him, his grip like iron as he seized Yuji's face, a frightening hold that left no room for escape.
"Thing?" the cursed king hissed, venom dripping from his voice, each word a dagger aimed at Yuji's pride. "You don't speak to me in such a manner."
With ferocious strength, Sukuna hurled Yuji backwards. The impact sent him crashing into the fleshy ground, the sensation of pain radiating through him like electric shocks. A groan escaped Yuji's lips as every ounce of fight momentarily drained from him.
"I am Ryomen Sukuna," he declared with a calm laced with menace. "Not your roommate. Not your pet."
Yuji winced, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth and soaking his hands. "You're a parasite. I didn't invite you into my life," he grunted, struggling to maintain his footing.
"Didn't stop you from swallowing my finger, did it?" Sukuna shot back, a twisted smile creeping across his lips, the humour devoid of any warmth.
Rising slowly, Yuji let anger course through him like fire in his veins. "I didn't think I'd be cursed with a lunatic like you."
Sukuna's laughter echoed through the unnerving expanse—there was no merriment in it; only a bitter contempt filled the air, heavy and stifling.
"You embarrassed me," he seethed, his voice dripping with spite. "You let him slap me, like some bitch."
Yuji raised an eyebrow, a flicker of understanding crossing his features. "You mean Alex?"
Sukuna's smile vanished in an instant, replaced by a scowl etched in pure rage, a storm brewing behind his eyes.
"That filth. That walking plague," he spat with disdain, his voice snapping like a thin branch underfoot. "He carries the stench of all that is wrong with this world, a cursed history manifested in flesh."
He cracked his knuckles, each sound reverberating like thunder in the distance, building an imminent storm. "I will end him," he declared, his tone dark and unwavering.
Yuji's expression hardened, the gravity of their conflict settling upon him. "He's strong," he replied, tension woven into each word.
"He's an abomination," Sukuna growled, fury igniting in his eyes, turning them into smouldering embers. A heavy silence descended as Yuji absorbed the weight of Sukuna's words, his mind running wild with thoughts and strategies.
In a swift movement, Sukuna surged ahead once more, landing a punishing blow on Yuji. The force was akin to being hit by a tempest, propelling him back to the ground again, gasping for air in the midst of the turmoil.
"You allowed me to be embarrassed, vessel! I was defeated before I had the opportunity to fight back. Me!" Sukuna growled, every word dripping with anger.
Wiping the blood trickling from his lip with a trembling hand, Yuji shot back, "You deserved worse than this."
Sukuna loomed over him, his gaze piercing and fierce, a predator sizing up his prey. "Next time I rise, I won't simply use your body, I will go straight for that freak. And when I obliterate him, I will tear apart what he is, bit by painful bit.
A chill ran down Yuji's spine at the merciless determination in Sukuna's voice. "You won't get that chance," he retorted, steeling himself against the dark presence.
Sukuna smirked, a cold glint in his eyes that sent cold shivers coursing through Yuji. "If he dares to stand between me and what is rightfully mine again, I will tear through everything in my path to reach him."
With that, he turned on his heel and strode back to his throne, a figure of dark resolve against the macabre backdrop of Yuji's mental domain.
Yuji offered no reply; his silence echoed in the cavernous space, a last flicker of rebellion extinguished in the presence of overwhelming darkness.
As Sukuna settled onto his grotesque throne, the multitude of writhing arms curled inward, a monstrous homage to their master, a display of devotion that betrayed the darkness lurking within.
The world around them dimmed, an oppressive weight settling heavily over the mental landscape, rendering even hope a distant memory.
Suddenly, Yuji gasped awake, sweat-drenched and trembling.
