I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 772: 649

Ogg, who had taken the lead in seizing the main artifact, did not cause Lynn to halt his actions; electrons wandering within the Sea of Quanta were all summoned into action.

The brief exchange of blows a moment ago had allowed him to probe the limits of the polymer's strength—it was powerful, for sure, but not unbeatable!

The powerful electromagnetic field that permeated the entire area left the God of Life and Creation no longer calm and composed, and he hastily spoke up again.

"There's a reason for everything, please forgive my earlier offense, this is my sincerity!"

As the sound of his voice faded, the God of Life and Creation opened his right hand to reveal the pupil-shaped artifact now shattered into fragments, and without waiting for Lynn to ask, Ogg took the initiative to explain.

"This artifact belongs to the God Morags, containing His divine will. I am unable to act out of line before destroying it, otherwise I might be under surveillance or even killed!"

Ogg spoke with a mixture of truth and falsehood. Naturally, the God Morags would not outright say he was watching his own, but indeed Ogg suspected that the other party had tampered with this main artifact; that's why he didn't reveal his true intentions upon first meeting, otherwise, he might have been killed by the artifact that was supposed to protect him!

Yet Lynn was relentless, seemingly deaf to the words of the God of Life and Creation. In just a few seconds, a more robust electromagnetic cage manifested, trapping the latter within.

Ogg's complexion turned ugly as he clenched his teeth and continued, "I possess a great deal of intelligence about the main world. The three main gods have now joined forces, and without my help, it won't be long before they invade this world again, and your power alone is simply not enough to oppose them..."

Ogg rushed through his speech as the electromagnetic cage tightened, shrinking to a diameter of just ten meters.

Seeing that Lynn completely ignored him, Ogg felt a mix of shock and anger. He hesitated for a moment about whether to resist, but eventually he held back, knowing well that he stood no chance.

Lynn did not intend to kill him. After restricting his ability to move, he began to seal off and strip away the surrounding space, enclosing Ogg along with an area of a dozen meters into a four-dimensional "bottle."

Only when the God of Life and Creation made no move to resist throughout the process did Lynn believe that the so-called main artifact must have been destroyed.

However, Lynn still did not intend to communicate with Ogg, deciding to leave him hanging for a while before considering his words more slowly.

He now had more troubling matters to deal with.

Turning his head to survey his surroundings, Lynn saw that the protective shield forged by the seventh element on the exterior had suffered severe damage. The gap created by the blinding light of destruction had been made significantly larger due to the impact of the quantum tides, and the aftershock of the battle had unavoidably affected it as well.

By the time Lynn returned to the macrocosm and retracted all of the seventh element, he discovered its mass had decreased by a third compared to before—a substantial loss.

Seeing Lynn return, Harrov and the others who had been anxiously waiting outside all breathed a sigh of relief. Since Lynn had moved the battlefield into the Sea of Quanta, they had been unable to intervene and had no idea how the battle was faring.

"It looks like the battle went smoothly? The main world wouldn't have only sent this one god, would they?" Vittorio saw that Lynn did not seem to be injured, and his tone lightened a bit.

"For now, there seems to be only this one!" Lynn nodded, thought for a moment, and then recounted his battle and conversation with Ogg.

"A renegade god?" The brows of Harrov and the others immediately furrowed.

This seemed somewhat strange in their view, especially since this god was carrying an artifact given by the main god, presumably with some mission in mind.

"Could it be some deceitful surrender play by those gods?" Anthony hypothesized.

The believers of these gods and their domains were all in the main world. A sudden declaration of betrayal seemed highly unbelievable.

Thus, it was very possible that this was a trap laid out by the opponent, gaining their trust by destroying a so-called main artifact.

"It could be a false surrender, but we can't completely rule out the possibility of genuine goodwill from them..." Aurora warned.

With so many gods in the main world, there are always contradictions over faith, divine power, and territory; thus, they are unlikely to be united as one.

Furthermore, they had shown their power to contend with the main world in the previous battle, so it was normal for opportunists to arise.

"Let's leave him be for a while, and we'll know more after asking him some questions later," Lynn didn't intend to dwell on this issue for too long. He then asked Harrov and the others about any actions taken by the Geometric Civilization in the meantime.

Harrov explained, "Two minutes ago, they did send a communication, asking if something had happened on our side."

Dozens of fleets had been amassed on the periphery of the black hole for days, and with the technology of the Geometric Civilization, they couldn't possibly be unaware. In fact, they've been closely monitoring the situation, most likely wishing to see how they would handle this black hole that appeared a mere 0.1 light-years from the galactic center.

"How should we reply now?" Harrov asked, as they had just decided to use the excuse of a black hole experiment and, regardless of further inquiries, would respond that it was a secret experiment not to be disclosed.

"That works," Lynn nodded, agreeing.

The less said, the better; let the rest be left to their imagination.

To avoid another incursion of gods through a space-time wormhole into this universe, the dozens of fleets did not withdraw after the threat was relieved but instead patrolled the vicinity.

Moreover, Lynn had stationed a magic-powered avatar there permanently to prevent any unforeseen incidents.

On the side of the Geometric Civilization, they did just as expected; upon learning that the Magic Empire was conducting experiments near a black hole, they ceased their overt inquiries and intensified their secret surveillance.

The compensation of one thousand three hundred tons of the seventh element was also delivered within a week, showing that the Geometric Civilization's previous claims of limited production were but an empty excuse.

Lynn, in turn, delivered as promised a ten-kilogram block of magic to Mony, allowing him to briefly open a wormhole on the planet to send the item directly to his homeworld.

Meanwhile, researchers of the Geometric Civilization had already prepared for their preliminary experiments, cutting the block, less than a centimeter in diameter, into thousands of pieces, and started the initial research eagerly.

They had seen the data Mony sent back, and if the material hadn't been right in front of them, they wouldn't have believed that such a miraculous and almost illogical energy source could really exist...
