I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 650: Magic Power Derivative Experiment and Quantum Data Consciousness

"Experiment Number Sixty-Seven on Magic Power derivation and its impact on biological transformation and influence... begins!"

In the Mother World, within the biological transformation and genetic engineering research lab, a large number of scientific researchers with extremely high accomplishments in biology and energy science were gathered, their gazes fixed on the hundreds of carbon-based life forms contained within the energy barrier.

The quantity of experimental subjects was undoubtedly sparse, but there was nothing to be done about it, as the specimens allocated to them were extremely limited, merely 0.5 kilograms in mass. Even if converted into pure energy, this was far from sufficient, and it was expected that it would be a long time before they could receive a second batch of Magic Power support.

The leaders of the Geometric Civilization had paid a heavy price to obtain this substance, surrendering a full thousand tons of Element Seven, equivalent to two hundred years' worth of mining and conversion.

Had they not discovered a new mineral source within a conquered galaxy more than a dozen years prior, the leaders would probably not have been willing to be so generous in their spending.

It was fortunate that Mony had secretly sent back a large number of research reports obtained from Planet 1700 in batches, saving them from many basic experiments. They only needed to continue the research along these lines.

What was happening now was naturally the most important Magic Power derivation experiment, and only by first deciphering the method of Magic Power creation would they be able to carry out subsequent research.

"Subjects 09 and 012 are showing limb mutation reactions, half of their body cells have been eroded by Magic Power... Subjects 027 and 031, with three times the Magic Power infusion, are experiencing severe stress reactions and require emergency treatment..."

"Subjects 041 and 052 exhibit abnormally active brainwaves, with basic elements within the protective shield moving in ways that defy the laws of mechanics, suggesting the need for more in-depth testing..."

Hundreds of experiments were being conducted almost simultaneously, and these carbon-based life forms injected with Magic Power were quickly experiencing various degrees of change.

For example, Subject 047's physical strength had multiplied severalfold from before, even exceeding the limitations of carbon-based life forms.

Two fortunate carbon-based beings that had survived despite being injected with ten times the Magic Power even displayed partial energy transformation in their bodies, greatly exciting the Geometric aliens.

However, the backlash from such direct Magic Power infusion was also extremely severe, with ninety percent of the over one hundred subjects experiencing damage on the cellular level; their bodies simply couldn't withstand such massive energy infusion. More than ten subjects that had received more than five times the Magic Power injection were in life-threatening conditions within just a few atomic fractions.

Fortunately, the Geometric Civilization's biological transformation technology was immensely advanced. What were considered incurable diseases to planetary-level civilizations were easily treatable by the atomic-level biological modification instruments, with all subjects ultimately surviving and undergoing initial biological transformation.

"Preliminary conclusions can already be drawn," said a spire-shaped researcher summarizing the data. "The information provided by Mony in his report is highly accurate; Magic Power can indeed transform carbon-based life forms into energy beings... Additionally, after killing some of the transformed beings, we detected that rather than increasing, the total Magic Power actually decreased by one fourth..."

Dimensional and temporal engineer Yita reviewed every experiment report carefully, with atomic-level detection instruments aiding in documenting all internal biological changes.

The conclusions reached were quite surprising to him.

"The total Magic Power has decreased instead of increased?" Yita was utterly perplexed because, according to the information given by Mony, the derivation of Magic Power should be related to the death of living beings.

Could the information be incorrect?

Yita did not jump to conclusions easily, immediately ordering the use of quantum-level observation instruments to conduct a more detailed examination of the corpses.

After some efforts, it turned out just as he had anticipated: Magic Power hadn't vanished into thin air but had instead been converted.

The sudden physical mutations and cellular-level transformations exhibited by the subjects all required energy consumption.

Of course, if that was all, it wouldn't have escaped their detection. What was more important was that while infiltrating the body cells and providing them with the energy for division, Magic Power directly mimicked and replaced some of the mutated limb cells, even escaping their cursory examination.

The intelligence passed on by Mony indicated that this unique form of energy, Magic Power, could influence any element. But now they had discovered another, even more astonishing fact: that Magic Power could also be conveniently converted into other forms of matter.

"Quick, quick, report this finding upward," Yita said excitedly.

Having preliminary research results meant that they could get their hands on more Magic Power samples.

However, before Yita could report, a message came through first. Another laboratory engaged in Magic Power research had produced a strange 'creature' existing in a soul-state and detected a significant amount of Magic Power reaction from it.

Yita quickly glanced over the report and thoughtfully said, "This is somewhat similar to quantumized data consciousness..."

The so-called quantumized data consciousness was a technological achievement of the Geometric Civilization, able to upload one's memories to a photonic brain. Developed with the intention of being used in conjunction with energy transformation technology, it could achieve a form of immortality.

However, this technology, due to its high complexity and significant internal controversy, had been shelved.

Looking at it now, the increase and decrease of Magic Power might well be connected to the consciousness of intelligent beings. Yita quickly realized this point and urgently requested additional experimental subjects to confirm his hypothesis.

After over a month of intensive research on Magic Power, with unreserved technical support, Yita made another significant breakthrough—he found a method to convert the soul into Magic Power.

What dissatisfied Yita was that the entire conversion process inevitably led to some losses, with an attrition rate of about twenty-five percent.

According to some energy scientists' speculation, the lost Magic Power disappeared into the higher dimensions in a quantum state during the conversion into microscopic particles, thus slipping out of their control.

This phenomenon had been encountered before when capturing other microscopic particles, but currently, the Geometric Civilization's research on dimensions was still in the early stages, without the means to intercept it.

"It seems we must resort to some of the more primitive methods," Yita said with some resignation.

But thinking about it, it made sense. Even the Magic Empire, which was far superior to them in dimensional technology, needed to rely on methods like planet ranching to achieve Magic Power derivation, so they shouldn't be reaching too high.

After all, under the rule of the Geometric Civilization, there were many star systems to choose from. Allocating a hundred or eighty planets as ranches would be a breeze.
