I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 636: Electromagnetic Priesthood and the Broad-eyed Beast Prophet

Lynn hovered in the void, looking down upon the entirety of the planet below him.

This had already become his divine realm, so even without using the detectors spread across the various continents, Lynn could still 'see' everything happening on the planet at every moment, including large-scale tribal wars involving millions of intelligent beings, as well as survival of the fittest in the corners of the jungles...

Even though this was the fourth divine realm Lynn had created, it was particularly different.

Within the Eternal Star, humans were the absolute protagonists, and because Lynn was once human, he adopted more amiable methods, representing a steady and mutual benefit.

As for other intelligent races and magical beasts, their numbers were relatively fewer, which always made research feel restricted.

Other realms and the moon—one on the verge of extinction, the other a barren satellite—neither counted as a complete star of life.

The planet beneath his feet was truly a testing ground where he could exercise his whims!

Lynn extended his hand, and countless drifting light points instantly emerged in his palm, dense and numerous beyond count.

However, the vast majority of the light points appeared very dim, like some kind of plankton aimlessly drifting, with only a few being very active, constantly charging about.

Each light point was a soul.

Ten billion souls were thus bound within a palm-sized ringed sphere.

In this year's time, the number of beings that had died on this planet was certainly more than this.

After some experimentation, Lynn found that only intelligent beings of the fourth level or higher could condense substantial souls, even in a high concentration of Magic Power.

The consciousness of lower-intelligence beings would disappear along with their bodies after natural death unless they mutated under the transformation of Magic Power.

After some research, Lynn thought, and a gray-white fog of death spread and surged forward, instantly engulfing the vast number of souls with Death Divine Power and turning them into nourishment...

The soul is a medium for the conversion between matter and Magic Power, a speculation that had been previously confirmed; with the Undead Divine Position, this conversion became extremely convenient, scarcely requiring him to expend much effort.

Yet transforming such a massive number of souls still took a day's time.

The countless souls replenished Lynn's Divine Power, which had been gradually depleting due to resisting the erosion of the Sea of Quanta, with about forty percent left over. It was predictable that, as time passed and the number of intelligent beings further increased, this percentage would rise considerably.

Lynn also planned to seize this opportunity to accomplish one thing.

Concentrate a divine office!

A divine office is an extremely important source of power for a deity. For example, before obtaining the Undead Divine Position, if he had wanted to convert these billions of souls, it might have taken half a month, but now it only took about a day.

It's somewhat like a higher-level Spell Position, with a deity that holds the divine office manifesting Divine Arts of the corresponding system as naturally as breathing.

As for Divine Arts involving other divine offices, Lynn had always believed it would not have much effect. However, after formally interacting with the gods of the main world, he changed this notion.

For the gods he encountered typically wielded the power of their divine offices as a matter of course, leading Lynn to speculate

that he might be an exception, because there were no other divine offices in this world, and the divine office of arcane mysteries covered a very broad range, almost encompassing all aspects.

Ella likely realized this too, or discovered something from the legacy of the previous Moon God, giving herself the title of Creator God at the outset of establishing faith and promoting doctrine, forcibly suppressing others, attempting to make all believers believe she controlled everything in the world.

Of course, Ella's plans were doomed to fail. Given the twenty million people on the Eternal Star and the million devout Believers, it was impossible to concentrate such a lofty divine office.

Lynn had no intention of overreaching nor did he plan to expend a vast amount of time to concentrate a scarcely useful divine office. After weighing his options, he set his sights on thunder.

Thunder and lightning are intensely powerful natural forces. Their essence is the attraction of opposite electric charges that neutralize each other when they meet.

After Anthony developed electrotherapy, even certified Wizards could barely wield its power, trapped as it was within Faraday's enclosure.

But the power of thunder is far from that simple. One ought to know that among the four fundamental forces, the Strong Nuclear Force, Weak Nuclear Force, and electromagnetic force are all related, with only gravity, which involves dimensions and spacetime, remaining ununified.

Electromagnetic force could be said to be a fundamental existence that constitutes the rules governing the universe, save dimensions, with an astonishingly high upper limit—this is also why Lynn chose this divine office.

Now was the time to seize this opportunity to concentrate the divine office of the electromagnetic system while achieving a breakthrough!

Lynn closed his eyes to sense around, and the dense clouds in the sky were also gradually gathering, with intense thunder flashing inside.

...

Days passed, and after a brutishly expansive three-year period, demonized creatures came to occupy every corner of this planet.

As one of the three major intelligent level four creatures, the Broad-eyed Beast undoubtedly became a central figure on one of the continents.

Those Broad-eyed Beasts that had gazed upon the Sun, getting their eyes seared blind, suddenly became Prophets of the tribes, claiming they had received divine revelation and had seen the truth of the world!

After losing their sight, their hearing and perception became more sensitive than before, and under the influence of Magic Power, they could even manipulate fire and wind—this was undoubtedly regarded as a gift from the gods!

If the rest of the tribesmen wanted to become Prophets and learn to master the powers of fire and wind, they had to stare directly at the three suns with their eyes during the triannual aerial phenomenon, sacrificing their prized vision for divine grace and enlightenment!

Some Prophets of the Broad-eyed Beasts firmly believed the stars in the sky disappeared because the gods had gathered them to create two more suns!

That sea area became a sacred site in the hearts of the Broad-eyed Beasts, and as time passed, the legends being passed down became increasingly outrageous—numerous invented scriptures and stories about the gods were inscribed on rock walls for the Believers to worship.

In the fervor of their faith, some Broad-eyed Beasts even blinded themselves to show their devotion, hoping to receive divine enlightenment.

Yet the gods simply didn't have the time to pay attention to them...
