I can rewind time to prevent death

Chapter 488 Reaper Han Yu_2

Yan Junze repeated what he had told Kurosawa Tsuyoshi before, warning him: "From this moment on, you need to pay attention to any abnormal occurrences around you. For instance, do you suddenly feel cold? Or experience a sense of resistance and repulsion when approaching certain objects? Perhaps you feel you cannot touch something, or you must avoid contact with darkness. If none of these apply, then check your body for sudden anomalies in any specific area."

Han Yu carefully sensed his surroundings and replied, "From now on, I will keep a close watch."

As soon as he finished speaking, his body shuddered. Although he didn't show any external changes, he had turned deathly pale.

Yan Junze froze for a moment, stepping closer. Suddenly, a droplet of blood flew through the air, grazing his shoulder. He turned to look at Han Yu's clothing and noticed a tiny blood spot on the right side of his chest.

Soon, several more droplets of blood emerged from his body. Han Yu's tall, thin figure trembled violently, and more patches of crimson appeared on his chest.

In the next instant, the room was enveloped in a Silent Magnetic Field, erasing all sound. Yan Junze could only observe as Han Yu's body gradually faded until it vanished entirely.

Shock overwhelmed him. He immediately turned his head and noticed Han Yu's body reappearing in the corner of the room behind him, leftward. Han Yu was drenched in blood, with shining Blood Beads suspended mid-air in an eerie display.

The Silent Magnetic Field engulfing the room dissipated, yet Han Yu remained surrounded by the field.

Using the field, he locked onto the Blood Beads leaking from his body, forcing them out one by one. He raised his head to glance at Yan Junze.

Yan Junze noticed Han Yu's face looked unusually pale, as though enduring intense pain. Han Yu grimaced and said weakly, "Those… raindrops… infiltrated my… body…"

Yan Junze turned back toward the window where Han Yu had been standing earlier. Sure enough, raindrops continued drifting inside with the wind. No one could have anticipated that these raindrops would become lethal weapons capable of killing a Reaper.

"Water! It's water!" Yan Junze exclaimed. "You cannot come into contact with water, or else…"

As he spoke, he observed the suspended Blood Beads closely. "…or else these water droplets will replace all the blood in your body!"

Without hesitation, he moved behind Han Yu and found dozens of tiny blood spots on the back of Han Yu's clothing. These had formed as raindrops soaked through.

Han Yu had managed to force out about a dozen of the raindrops using the Silent Magnetic Field. With more effort, he might be able to expel all the raindrops that had integrated with his blood.

This quick reaction saved Han Yu; if he hadn't noticed and turned to face Yan Junze, standing before the open window, the cold wind mixed with raindrops would have riddled his face, chest, and abdomen with lethal invaders.

Rewind!

After discovering the specific attack method, Yan Junze couldn't stand by and let Han Yu end up like this. He rewound time to the moment when Han Yu said, "I don't know yet how it will attack me or how to prevent it."

As Han Yu finished speaking, Yan Junze immediately acted as though he had perceived something. He quickly walked toward Han Yu and urgently warned, "Mr. Han Yu, watch your back!"

Han Yu paused briefly before turning around. He extended the Silent Magnetic Field half a foot away from his body, encircling himself.

A cold wind carrying raindrops from the open window then streamed into the room.

"You must not touch water!" Yan Junze emphasized.

Thud!

"Not touch water?" Han Yu questioned, puzzled, but he still stepped back two paces.

Several raindrops drifted into his Silent Magnetic Field without warning. Under Han Yu's watchful gaze, one drop made contact with the fabric of his sleeve, soaking through instantly.

In the next second, a bizarre pain radiated from his arm. The raindrop pierced through his skin, burrowed into his flesh, and began infiltrating his bloodstream.

Frightened, Han Yu immediately used the field to suppress the raindrop, yet blood still leaked from the spot. Wrapping the raindrop in the blood, he pushed it out through his skin.

Step after step, Han Yu retreated three more paces, completely away from the window.

"How strange! These raindrops can invade my bloodstream!"

Yan Junze added, "It's not just rain—it's water! Mr. Han Yu, from now on, you must not come into contact with even a single drop of water, or you'll face the same consequences as that raindrop just inflicted upon you."

Han Yu nodded slightly and used the vibrations of the Silent Magnetic Field to shut the open window entirely. Then, he turned back and took a seat across from Yan Junze, each sitting on separate chairs in the room.

"What do we do now?" Han Yu asked.

"I still have some work to prepare," Yan Junze replied. "It might be a good idea for you to contact my Uncle Zhang, Zhang Chengjing, and let him know you were also attacked but are unharmed. In the meantime, I need to figure out the next move of the Olay Great Capital Demon Hunter Group. Let's stay in touch."

"Will you be okay alone?" Han Yu asked with concern.

After experiencing the eerie attack from the raindrops firsthand, Han Yu was on high alert and worried Yan Junze might not be capable of handling the situation on his own.

"It's fine, don't worry about me," Yan Junze assured him, getting up. "Mr. Han Yu, I have many tasks to handle. I'll head out first."

Han Yu nodded.

"From now on, remember not to touch water until we deal with the True Word Demon," Yan Junze reiterated.

Han Yu, who was originally the Death God of Huaying, had a strong relationship with Zhang Chengjing. He was, undoubtedly, among the easiest to convince.

Descending the stairs, Yan Junze walked along the street for some distance before turning a corner and hailing a taxi. He randomly selected a hotel to check into.

For the next two days, Yan Junze remained in the hotel.

After waiting for two days at the hotel, Yan Junze took out his phone. He reviewed the information Lin Yishan had sent him prior to this Great Rewind, confirming the timing of the True Word Demon's assault on Wu Mayun, the God of Death.

He then sent messages to Han Yu and Kurosawa Tsuyoshi, finalizing the action plan and location.

About half an hour later, he received confirmed responses from Han Yu and Kurosawa Tsuyoshi, as well as a message from Zhang Chengjing.

Zhang Chengjing initially wanted to call him, but Yan Junze had configured his phone settings to block all calls and only receive texts.

By estimation, the other Yan Junze in this timeline should currently be in the Spirit Bridge area performing an exorcism and accumulating energy. That region lacked any mobile signal, ensuring no interference between timelines. Even if an overlap occurred, it could be resolved with Butterfly Effect Stabilization.

After replying to Zhang Chengjing to confirm the plan, Yan Junze returned to the Void.
