Chapter 640: 60
As Ardent emerged from the hurricane he hide himself in, he could see the disbelief in ths eyes of the older, more powerful Mages. Those who could see him anyway.
While a part of him feel insulted by the look, another, one slightly tethered to his older self in another world, was not surprised. He would also have the same expression if he saw a 14 year old manager or something similar.
However, Ardent need to get them to stop gawking so he can turn the City into his domain. He pointed at the wall, causing it to shake as Mana pushed on to it.
Those who were on the walls were pressed against it, unable to get up, while those far away manage to remain upright, yet their legs threatened to fall.
"Do you need me to cast more disasters, destroying the city in the process, or would you talk with me?" the smile on his face was one of warning.
The 4th Circle Mages quickly did their best impression of a woodpecker, nodding so hard Ardent fear their heads might rolled off.
"Good. Come here then." Ardent pointed at a spot near the wall. A large pillar of rock and earth rose from the ground, only stopping when the height of it and the wall were equal.
Ardent flew to the pillar, creating seats of rock as well as a table. As one of them about to join in, Ardent stopped them,
"Get the City Lord as well. Or else." the 4th Circle Mages continue their best impression of a woodpecker as one of them head to the City Lord's mansion, all of them fearful of else.

The City Lord looked at the teen in front of him. When one of his 4th Circle Mages told him the person who behind the earthquake and hurricane, he was fearful the other party planned on killing him.
He would have refuse if not for the 4th Circle Mage warning him that more will come, and Cruom City might cease to exist if he disagree.
With great reluctance, the City Lord followed his Mage. As they head to the meeting point, the Mage also warned him to not judge the perpetrator of the disaster by their look.
He wondered why at first, but looking at the teen in front of him, the City Lord began to understand the reasoning behind it.
"So, you the City Lord." it might be a simple sentence, but the City Lord, who was not blessed with Mana, could feel the power, the Mana of the teen washing him and likely capable of turning him into meat paste if he desire to do so.
"Young Master." he replied, bowing his head, appearing as subservient as he could. It will not do for him to anger the teen.
"I will cut to the chase, I want you to torture Grulnar before executing him." quickly, the teen demanded.
The City Lord wondered what Grulnar had done to anger the teen but if sacrificing the man meant the City would be safe, then so be it. However, the teen was not done yet,
"I also want those who order the assault on Slurom Village to be brought in front of me as well." The City Lord looked confused. Not only because a powerful Mage would care for a small village, but also because he never heard of Slurom Village.
"I apologize, but I don't know the village you are talking about." Apparently, it was the wrong thing to say.
The tee- Mage stopped moving, looking at him into the eyes. His eyes changed color, each change seemingly showing even more hellish experience.
If not for him sitting, the City Lord would have fell on his knees, with a big patch on his pants.
"You don't know. Of course you don't know. You only care for the dungeon and will throw the inhabitants to the wild if you need to do so." the Mage spat out. It all came together, though the realization might have come a bit too late.
"Y-you one of the villagers of the dungeon village." he stuttered. No one blamed him for that. In fact, everyone near him praise the City Lord in their head for daring to speaking with the teen.
"Dungeon village. You don't even have the decency to learn the name of the village you plan on taking over." the Mage in front of him seem to grow bigger by the second.
The City Lord's entire body started to shake, the man feeling like he was being suffocated with air.
"Tell me one good reason why I should not kill the one who send several groups to conquer my home." venomous tone flow out of the Mage's mouth, his gaze smoldering, burning or so it felt for the City Lord and those next to him.
As the City Lord and 4th Circle Mages retain their silent, the Mage looked even angrier than before.
"So, you are going to keep quiet." he spat out. Instantly, three Hurricane appeared, all taller than the City's wall and capable of shredding through it instantly.
"I will give you one last chance." the Mage exclaimed, "Tell me the one who order Merith's force to head to my village, or I will skin you alive and make you beg for death." the City Lord trembled even faster, tears forming in his eyes.
Oh, how he wish he was not consume by greed, and agreed to the term of the delegation of Slurom Village. Maybe, the Mage in front of him will spare him. Unfortunately, there is no medicine for regret. He could only hope to extinguish the fury of the Mage.
"I-I will call Grulnar, and have him torture for it. A-as for those who send in the soldiers to your village, I will call them as well." City Lord's voice was squeaky by the end of it, the man looking less like a leader and more like a mouse. Read new adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
The young Mage nodded, "Be quick about it. And make sure to torture Grulnar for ... 17 weeks." 17 weeks is a long time, but Grulnar probably deserve it for angering the young 5th Circle Mage.
