Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Super Strong Zombie_1
Tang Ye couldn't see clearly what was happening below, so he risked heading down to have a closer look!
Roar, roar, roar!
The zombies beneath the building were increasingly excited due to the scent of live humans above, and pounded against the iron door even more forcefully. However, the iron door was unyielding and stood firm against their assault!
Fu Xinkun slapped the man who admitted to firing the gun, leaving a red handprint on his face.
"We don't have many bullets left! You're randomly firing, if we die it's on you!" Fu Xinkun swore as he glanced around, thinking of a plan. There were simply too many zombies below, something had to be done, or they would starve to death even if they weren't killed by the zombies.
Tang Ye walked over at that moment, catching the attention of the people upstairs. Compared to the other zombies, Tang Ye maintained a well-fed state. His flesh was intact with no visible signs of decay. His strong physique made him stand out among the zombie crowd. Until now, Tang Ye had not seen a zombie with a body stronger than his because he would always eat their brain first as it provided more energy.
Watching Tang Ye from the window, Fu Xinkun's eyes widened in surprise. He had seen many zombies with this physique before, but there was something different about this one... he was unbelievably clean! Moreover, the crowbar on his back made him seem even more peculiar compared to the other filthy zombies.
"Give me the gun!" Fu Xinkun said to the man next to him, his eyes focused on Tang Ye. He considered the idea of shooting this zombie down!
He received the gun from his follower and lifted it, aiming it straight at Tang Ye's head.
Tang Ye hadn't gotten the chance to figure out what was happening when he saw a man wearing black clothes at the window pointing a gun wholeheartedly towards him!
Tang Ye panicked; the distance was too far to tell if the gun was actually pointed at him. However, he knew he had to run!
Bang!
Another gunshot echoed, causing the zombies below to roar more frenziedly! Tang Ye felt a gust of wind rushing towards him and without knowing what was happening, felt something falling from his face. He ran toward a nearby shop immediately.
It was clear to Tang Ye that the man had shot at him. The bullet hit him, but he didn't die, he was alive! He quickly ran into the nearby shop. Being a zombie, he didn't feel any pain, but he saw blood from his face dripping onto his arm.
Fu Xinkun, who had fired the shot from the window, was astonished seeing Ta Ye run away, with half of his face blown away by the bullet! So were the other people behind him.
Zombies can run away? Shouldn't normal zombies keep moving forward? How is running away possible?
Fu Xinkun frowned at the disbelief, blaming the error on the bullet due to the distance. It grazed just a bit, otherwise, he could have blown his brains out!
Seeing the pool of dark red blood flowing from his face onto the ground, Tang Ye panicked.
F*ck! Did I get disfigured?
He rushed to a mirror in the store and froze at the sight. His handsome face had a hole ripped by the bullet with thick dark blood constantly pouring out.
"Son of a b*tch! F*ck, seriously..." Tang Ye complained, staring at his disfigured face in the mirror.
Ouch! Damn! I need to eat more zombie brains to heal. If I had known, I wouldn't have been foolish enough to come here.
Tang Ye now held a grudge against Fu Xinkun and his group. He swore to make them pay. First, he was stabbed and beaten for trying to be a good samaritan, then he was shot, if this continued, would he have to survive a nuclear bomb next?
Tang Ye peeked out from behind the shop wall, glared at them with his pupil-less white eyes. He had to seize the opportunity for payback, they dared to shoot him?
Meanwhile, up above, Fu Xinkun and others were oblivious to Tang Ye's intentions while observing the increasingly dire situation below.
The number of zombies is growing!
"You guys, go upstairs and find any gas canisters you can and bring them all down. They're blocking the way, huh? I'll turn them into ashes!" He glanced at the zombie crowd, his eyes flashing with a murderous intent.
"Yes, Brother Kun!" someone replied. He, along with three others, went upstairs as the rest began searching for gas canisters on their floor.
In no time, they returned with several gas canisters of varying sizes.
"Throw them down; if it kills a few, even better!" They nodded, lifted the canisters and threw them into the zombie crowd. The sound of the canisters crashing, and the resulting blood spatter instantly killed several zombies.
Tang Ye, who was nearby, panicked at their actions. He knew what they were planning.
"Ma De! These bastards, just wait till they turn into zombies. I'll eat their brains someday!" Tang Ye swore as he started running away from the shop to distance himself from the area.
Once he saw the men had thrown enough gas canisters, Fu Xinkun raised his hand and shouted, "Stop!" He then pulled the trigger, aiming at one of the gas canisters.
Bang!
Boom!!!
A violent explosion immediately set off, followed by a surge of intense heat that sent the surrounding zombies flying. The suffocating high temperature permeated the air as Fu Xinkun's face turned pale.
"Move! Get inside!" They quickly disappeared from the window, and the massive number of zombies below were swallowed by the flames, releasing terrifying screams.
The echo from the explosion of dozens of gas canisters left the ears ringing and the enormous sound attracted even more zombies from afar. A few people braved the scorching air to see dozens of zombies burning to death and couldn't help but feel a sense of joy.
Tang Ye, who had run further ahead, looked back at the scene feeling both afraid and relieved. He was so thankful that he had decided to run away, otherwise, he would have been reduced to ashes too.
Fu Xinkun peeked out from the window and said, "Let's go, we can't stay here for long!"
Roar!!!
Just as they had finished packing, a spine-chilling zombie roar echoed in the sky! The roar scared them as much as it did Tang Ye, leaving him puzzled.
What kind of zombie could produce such a roar?
He looked back again, only to see a huge figure heading towards Fu Xinkun's residential building.
The figure was about two and a half metres tall, its head crowned with greasy hair, revealing his bare upper body. The iron tower-like figure with purple-black complexion was breathtaking, the muscles on its body left no doubt about its powerful strength! It was a zombie! A horrific zombie, that was slowly advancing with heavy footsteps towards them!
