Chapter 445: Chapter 445: Another Mythic World Mentioned Again! Persephone’s Preparations Begin!
Europa has ascended to the rank of God-King, becoming the Earth Lord of the Underworld.
Sparta has ascended to God-King, becoming the War God of the Underworld.
Not only that, but Sparta's former expedition army has rejoined their king, now transformed into his War God Legion.
In a short time, the Underworld's power has grown significantly.
Two God-Kings.
Two Hells.
An elite army.
This rapid growth explains Eris's sentiment that the Underworld's opponents extend beyond this mythic world—they now encompass realms beyond it.
The Pure Land! Hades sensed Sparta's transformation and spoke calmly, "The creation of the War God Legion brings another elite force to the Underworld."
Hades has never underestimated any being.
To a complete God-King, every follower has a purpose and value.
In past battles, the Underworld seemed to rely only on Underworld Gods and warriors.
But, in reality, just as Poseidon's armies include countless sea monsters, the Underworld is also supported by demon legions created by the Seventy-Two Demon Gods.
Each Demon God creates legions based on their role, with the size of these legions limited by their position and power. This restriction maintains balance and caps.
These laws apply even to gods. It's akin to filling a role; the position cannot be endlessly duplicated.
For example, a typical God-King can only create a single Hell. This is an established rule.
As for demons, they might seem expendable in myths, with heroes and gods easily vanquishing them. Yet, each demon is born under strict rules.
The Seventy-Two Demon Gods can each govern only a set number of legions.
Unless they ascend further, they cannot exceed this limit.
This cap applies to even Absolute Gods. If an Absolute God could ignore such rules, they could create an eternal mythic world, surpassing all limits.
But instead, these worlds remain subject to destruction.
The truth is…
Everyone with insight understands this.
For this reason, the birth of an elite legion is of great importance to the Underworld.
In many situations, God-Kings refrain from direct combat, following certain regulations or considerations. In these cases, having a powerful legion on the battlefield is invaluable.
Such legions can dominate the battlefield with greater ease.
This point cannot be understated.
"Hmm…" Persephone pondered, then remarked, "Husband, regarding the upcoming war of races in the mortal realm, it seems Sparta's involvement may not be necessary."
"To be precise," she continued, "not only Sparta but few others need participate."
Hades replied calmly, "The Mythic World granting me Europa signifies its desire for the Underworld to withdraw from this opportunity. It has even entrusted Europa's faith to me, and over time, this faith will spread."
"When that day comes," he continued, "a vast amount of faith will flow into the Underworld."
Eris's beautiful eyes widened with astonishment. "Your Majesty, does this mean that as long as humanity remains the primary race, you will hold at least half of the faith in the Mythic World?"
"Correct," Hades replied. "This is the bargain I struck with the Mythic World. In exchange for Europa and the faith, the Underworld will support humanity as the rightful lead."
"However…" Persephone frowned slightly. "Husband, this benefit seems limited. Wouldn't it be better if the Underworld's races became the true main race?"
"No," Persephone caught herself and shook her head. "You're right. If claiming the lead role were easy, that would be odd."
Eris also fell into contemplation. Yes, if such a role were easy to secure, that would indeed be peculiar.
The Mythic World itself decides the protagonist race. Gaia's grim fate as the Earth Goddess shows the sacrifices required when one bets everything on the role.
Hades explained, "Exactly. The Underworld's participation will be minor, yet the reward is more than sufficient. Standing within the Mythic World also allows me to carry out the next plan."
In Hades' dark eyes, gleaming with the essence of life and the universe, an enigmatic light shone.
What lay behind those eyes?
No one knew.
However, Hades had never abandoned the notion of harnessing humanity's Seven Deadly Sins. If he could master these human evils…
The Underworld would see unparalleled growth.
"Moving forward," Hades continued, "we will keep most of our attention on the other mythic world."
