I am Dracula With My Three Beautiful Vampire Brides

Chapter 12: Black Giant Wolf

"What a rich dark power!"

Vlad lifted his head, took a deep breath, and felt the dense dark energy saturating the air.

"Master, in this environment, I feel like my strength has increased by at least 30%!" Verona exclaimed, her eyes filled with wonder.

Vlad looked up at the blood-red full moon in the sky, a puzzled expression on his face.

He had seen full moons before—but never one like this, soaked in crimson.

"What caused it?" Vlad murmured, shaking his head. He decided not to dwell on it.

"Master, he's coming," Verona whispered.

Vlad turned toward the sacrificial site on the edge of the village and saw a massive black wolf, nearly three meters long, slowly approaching from beyond the village.

Its aura was tightly compressed, and the dark energy around it grew heavier with every step it took.

"Master, that werewolf's aura is intense," Verona said, speaking through the vampires' special ultrasonic voice transmission method.

This technique, available to any who had awakened vampire blood, used air vibrations to transmit sound—simple and effective at close range, though easy to detect from afar.

If Verona grew stronger and elevated her mental abilities to the level of full control or telepathy, she could use far more secure and subtle psychic communication.

Vlad studied the werewolf carefully, intrigued. He wanted to assess the creature's strength—as well as test his own.

After all, he hadn't fought seriously since becoming a vampire.

As the huge black wolf neared, the sacrificial piglet began to panic and tremble.

Driven by instinct, it sensed the deadly threat and terrifying aura of the approaching predator.

A small puddle of urine spread beneath it. The wolf, just about to pick up its prize, froze slightly in disgust.

The giant wolf muttered in its own guttural tongue, wearing an almost humanlike expression.

"Master, what did it say?" Verona asked. She could hear the werewolf's language as a supernatural being, but couldn't understand it.

Vlad's lips twitched. He glanced at her, then said with a dry tone, "He was thinking about how to get started."

"Pfft~" Verona let out a soft giggle.

By now, the two of them had already hidden their auras completely and merged into the shadows.

The werewolf had no idea he was being watched.

After circling the piglet twice, the black wolf wasted no more time. With one bite, it clamped down on the piglet and bolted toward the forest.

"Let's move!"

As the giant wolf dashed away, Vlad and Verona leapt into the air. Their backs bulged suddenly, and wide bat-like wings erupted, propelling them into the night sky.

With their excellent night vision and heightened senses, they followed the werewolf from above, keeping a safe distance as they chased it deep into the forest.

The black wolf was completely unaware that two ghostly figures were silently tailing it from overhead.

In just moments, the werewolf, running at full speed, broke through the dense woods and reached a cave—its usual hiding place during transformations.

Vlad and Verona retracted their wings and landed at the cave's entrance.

The tunnel extended deep into the earth, its winding paths twisting and turning unpredictably.

"Looks like this is his lair," Vlad said after a glance.

"Let's go in and check it out."

Verona took the lead, moving forward without needing further instruction.

Though the cave was pitch dark, it didn't hinder either of them. If anything, they were more at ease in the night than the day.

Following the faint trail left behind by the black wolf, they soon arrived at a spacious inner chamber. Bones of various animals littered the floor, and among them were even human remains.

A shaft of moonlight shone through a wide crack in the stone ceiling, casting a pale glow over the grim scene.

At the center of the chamber, the black wolf bared its fangs, thick saliva dripping from its jaws.

Its eyes glowed as it stared at the trembling piglet with savage intent.

The piglet let out frightened squeals—"Hmph hum!!"—its voice shrill and pitiful.

The foul saliva continued to fall as the wolf lunged, sinking its teeth into the piglet. A blood-curdling scream rang out.

It was like hearing a girl being violently assaulted—desperate, panicked, and resisting with all her might.

"Boom~!!"

Suddenly, a thunderous crash rang through the cave as the werewolf was slammed into the rock wall.

The impact was so powerful that the walls shook and debris rained down from the ceiling.

In the spot where the black wolf had stood, a young woman now appeared.

Verona had landed a perfect sneak attack—but her face showed no satisfaction.

She watched as the werewolf quickly got back on its feet, glaring at her with glowing eyes and growling fiercely. Clearly, the ambush had failed to inflict serious damage.

Seeing his attacker clearly, the werewolf didn't charge immediately.

"Who are you? A priest from the monastery?"

"No… a priest wouldn't be like this. A demon hunter?" the black wolf muttered as it shifted its stance, eyeing her cautiously.

"Hmph, does it matter who I am?" Verona snorted coldly.

"You're not human!" the wolf barked suddenly.

At that moment, a flash of killing intent lit up in its eyes. Without warning, it lunged forward, jaws wide.

Everything earlier had been a trick—to lure her in, to throw her off guard.

Startled while responding, Verona was instantly overpowered by the sudden attack. Inexperience showed as the wolf pinned her down.

"Boom~!!"

"Bang~!"

Watching from the shadows, Vlad sat on a large rock, leisurely biting into a roasted sweet potato he'd taken out from who knows where.

He observed with amusement. Though Verona was temporarily overwhelmed, her life wasn't in danger.

So he didn't intervene. On the contrary, he welcomed it—any chance to polish her in real combat was a gift.

When dealing with supernatural creatures, you had to use every advantage.

He didn't hold back when it came to training her.

Watching them clash in the dim cave—leaping, dodging, attacking—Vlad felt more entertained than he ever had watching movies in his past life.

Occasionally, huge rocks fell from the impact. Dust filled the air. Blood stained the ground.

Even as a spectator, Vlad was exhilarated.

A real battle of beauty versus the beast!

Suddenly, Verona transformed into a swarm of bats and, in the blink of an eye, reappeared behind the black wolf. Her claws tore a bloody streak down its back.

The wolf let out a roar of pain and rage.

"Awoooo~!!"

As the moonlight bathed its body, the werewolf began to undergo a dramatic transformation.
