Chapter 11: Evil
"Don't worry, you won't be discovered."
The darkness posed no hindrance to Vlad.
He gazed at Suzette—her expression blurred with seduction and restraint—and grew even bolder.
As their movements intensified, Suzette's hand, which had been covering her lips, could no longer contain her reaction.
"Mom, what's wrong with you?"
A sudden voice from the side startled Suzette out of her trance.
Her body tensed immediately, and she clutched Vlad tightly. After a long silence, she responded to Lucie:
"Uh, Mom's fine. Don't worry, Lucie. Just go back to sleep."
"Oh~" Lucie replied softly, then turned back under the quilt.
In the darkness, Vlad glanced over at Lucie lying on the side.
Her cheeks were flushed, as if she had realized something.
Clutching the corner of the quilt with both hands, she kept her eyes wide open, as if trying to confirm what was happening.
Vlad curled his lips into a smirk and looked away. Since Lucie was pretending not to know, he naturally chose to ease up a little.
As Vlad continued, Suzette bit her lips tightly, afraid that her uncontrollable reaction would expose her in front of her daughter.
She kept twisting the soft flesh on Vlad's waist with her fingers, trying to stop him.
But as the bed trembled and the quilt heaved, Lucie finally confirmed her suspicions. She stiffened, not daring to breathe.
She had never imagined her mother would seduce Vlad.
In a daze, Lucie's breathing began to quicken.
As if caught in a dreamlike trance, her legs squeezed together involuntarily.
Without realizing it, she had inched farther away from Vlad.
Vlad noticed this and reached out a wicked hand toward Lucie. Her body trembled, and she dared not move a muscle.
After a while, she slowly turned her head toward her mother, then looked at Valerie, still asleep on the innermost side of the bed.
Once she confirmed no one else had noticed, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
Vlad, too, was beginning to sense how far he had fallen into depravity.
Logically, his memories of a past life shouldn't have had such a strong influence.
The real issue might be the blood he had consumed—blood from demons who had turned into vampires.
As time passed, Suzette began to notice something unusual.
She turned her head and, by the faint moonlight, saw Lucie panting softly and shifting beneath the quilt.
Realizing something was wrong, she quickly reached out. Sure enough, Lucie's clothes were scattered under the covers.
Suzette's expression turned stern.
"How could you do something like this?" she said in a hushed, angry tone, trying not to wake the others.
Lucie woke with a start. Hearing her mother's voice, she blushed and quickly adjusted her clothes in embarrassment.
But as Suzette continued to direct her anger at Vlad, Lucie—who had initially felt ashamed—suddenly raised her voice:
"Don't blame Brother Vlad. I asked for it."
"You—!" Suzette was stunned.
Even Vlad was caught off guard, looking at Lucie in surprise. He hadn't expected her to take the blame.
Lucie wasn't like Valerie—she had never been independent or outspoken.
In contrast, she had always been shy and soft-spoken.
In the original story, she hadn't even fought back when she was told she couldn't marry Henry, the boy she secretly loved. She simply ran away—and died a tragic death.
In truth, Lucie suffered from deep insecurity. She knew she wasn't as beautiful as her sister or as seductive as her mother.
So when she thought Vlad had noticed her—however twisted the circumstances—she felt an odd sense of relief.
That long-standing inferiority complex became a psychological trigger when Suzette pointed the blame at Vlad.
Lucie's desperate need to hold onto this sudden attention, however abnormal, had led to this moment.
Vlad saw this clearly after using telepathy to probe her thoughts.
He looked at Lucie in silence for a long moment.
Then, leaning close, he whispered something into Suzette's ear. Whatever he said made her anger disappear in an instant.
After a brief silence, she pinched Vlad hard and muttered, "You're so lucky!"
Lucie looked at her mother with uncertainty. She didn't know what Vlad had said to calm her.
In truth, Vlad had only warned Suzette: don't provoke Lucie, or she might run to her father or let the secret slip out in anger—which would have dire consequences.
Suzette understood the stakes and chose not to push further.
In fact, Vlad had no real interest in going further with Lucie. His intentions were clear from the beginning.
The reason he tempted her at all was simply to satisfy his twisted desires and further his own plans.
He waved Lucie over. She hesitated, but seeing her mother offer no objection, she moved closer.
Outside the Village, a massive black wolf appeared in the forest, staring toward the village.
After quietly observing for a while, it began walking toward the village's sacrificial grounds.
It was part of the village's annual tradition: to offer animals as sacrifices to the werewolves in exchange for peace. It had always been this way.
At that moment, Lucie tilted her pale neck back, intoxicated, her face lost in ecstasy.
"Hah~" Vlad lifted his head and let out a breath, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
Having tasted the blood of a virgin girl, his bloodlust had finally subsided.
"I didn't expect so much energy in Lucie's blood," he thought, watching her trembling body and enraptured expression.
Then, his expression changed. He exhaled slowly, helped the kneeling Suzette to her feet, and said:
"Now it's your turn."
Seeing Lucie's intoxicated expression, Suzette was filled with anticipation.
She let out a soft moan, her body trembling and flushing red.
Moments later, she too was lost in an overwhelming wave of pleasure.
Watching the mother and daughter undergo their transformations, Vlad fell into deep thought.
As a mother, Suzette's blood was just as sweet as a young girl's. The energy in Lucie's blood was also potent.
Not quite on par with Verona's—but much stronger than an ordinary girl's.
Was it a result of their physical constitution, or…
Vlad turned his gaze to Valerie, still asleep.
…perhaps it was both.
"Master, the werewolf is here," Verona's voice suddenly came.
He had initially planned to take Suzette and Lucie to confront the werewolf, but seeing the two still in the throes of transformation, he gave up.
Leaving a few words behind for them, Vlad departed with Verona, heading toward the direction where the werewolf had appeared.
