HP: Supreme Potion Collector [Original Female Protagonist]

Chapter 225: Chapter 225: A Brilliant Idea

The chaos at school made it nearly impossible to focus. During this period, Orli and Snape had only one interaction—when Professor Lupin conducted his second potion trial. This time, the side effects were significantly mitigated. He experienced stomach cramps, but there were no visible changes.

In a letter to Orli, Lupin recounted how, shortly after drinking the potion, he clutched his stomach and began groaning. Sirius, thinking he'd been poisoned, nearly grabbed his wand to confront Snape.

Snape, however, remained indifferent to it all. He methodically organized his research notes, seemingly preparing to turn his findings into a formal paper.

Time flew by, and on the morning of October 30th, as they descended to the Great Hall for breakfast, they found it had been completely transformed overnight.

Massive silken banners adorned the walls, each representing one of Hogwarts' four houses: red with a golden lion for Gryffindor, blue with a bronze eagle for Ravenclaw, yellow with a black badger for Hufflepuff, and green with a silver serpent for Slytherin.

Behind the staff table hung the largest banner of all, bearing the Hogwarts crest: the lion, eagle, badger, and serpent encircling a grand letter "H."

Harry, Ron, Orli, and Hermione took their seats at the Gryffindor table, right next to Fred and George.

# Harry: "Have you two figured out a way to get into the Triwizard Tournament yet?"

Harry asked.

# Harry: "Still planning to sneak in?"

# Fred: "I asked Professor McGonagall how the champions are chosen, but she wouldn't tell me,"

Fred said, frustrated.

# Fred: "She just told me to shut up and focus on transfiguring my raccoon."

# Ron: "I wonder what the tasks in the tournament will be?"

Ron said thoughtfully.

# Ron: "You know, Harry, I bet we could do it too. We've handled plenty of dangerous stuff before…"

# Fred: "But you've never done it in front of a panel of judges, have you?"

Fred pointed out.

# Fred: "Professor McGonagall said the judges will score the champions based on how well they complete the tasks."

# Harry: "Who are the judges?"

Harry asked.

# Hermione: "Oh, the headmasters of the participating schools are definitely on the panel,"

Hermione replied.

# Hermione: "In the 1792 tournament, the task involved capturing a cockatrice, but it went out of control and injured all three headmasters."

Harry, Ron, and the twins stared at her in astonishment. Hermione, a little impatient, added:

# Hermione: "It's all in Hogwarts: A History. Though, of course, that book isn't entirely reliable. Maybe it should be called A Revised History of Hogwarts, or A Highly Biased and Selective History of Hogwarts, Covering Up the School's Dark Side."

# Ron: "What are you on about?"

Ron asked.

# Hermione: "House-elves!"

Hermione exclaimed, her eyes blazing.

# Hermione: "In over a thousand pages of Hogwarts: A History, there isn't a single mention of the fact that we're collectively oppressing over a hundred slaves!"

Orli quietly lowered her head, serving herself bacon and scrambled eggs. The trio's earlier dismissive attitudes hadn't deterred Hermione from her crusade for house-elf rights. In fact, all three of them had reluctantly paid two silver Sickles each for S.P.E.W. badges. Far from silencing Hermione, this only encouraged her more. Since then, she had been insisting they wear the badges and urging them to persuade others to do the same. She had even developed a habit of badgering people in the Gryffindor common room every evening, shaking a collection tin under their noses with relentless determination.

# Hermione: "Do you realize that the ones changing your sheets, lighting your fires, cleaning your classrooms, and cooking your meals are unpaid, enslaved magical creatures?"

She would passionately argue.

Some, like Neville, reluctantly handed over money just to escape her fierce glare. Others treated the whole thing as a joke.

At that moment, Ron was rolling his eyes at the enchanted ceiling, which was bathed in autumn sunlight. Fred had suddenly become very interested in his bacon. Harry stared out the window, seemingly longing for Hedwig. Orli, too, was hoping the owls would arrive soon; she didn't want Hermione bringing up the case of paying Dobby again… Thinking of this, she suddenly remembered Dobby and Winky.

Perhaps she could introduce Winky to Hermione? Orli thought she had just come up with a brilliant idea.
