Chapter 36: Luck’s Run Dry
4. TEMPLATE: Mo Fan (Quanzhi Fashi)
Oh fuck. It's the template of the protagonist from Versatile Mage, the Chinese donghua.
In that world, humans unlock elemental magic they're compatible with. Usually, you can unlock one element per stage, and there are five main levels for mages. But Mo Fan? He's a transmigrator. He gets to unlock two elements at each stage.
Insane potential.
Of course, this one's temporary. A one-time-use card. After the time limit, it vanishes.
Great. Not even at the Forbidden Mage stage either.
Well. Whatever. Something's better than nothing.
Might even be a lifesaver in a bad situation.
5. TEMPLATE: Agent One (Helluva Boss)
A template of an agent who works supernatural cases? Not bad.
At least it's permanent. Free combat experience for life.
Still, I would've preferred one of those demon wolf chicks. Taming one of them would've been fun.
Anyway, this card raises a question I've been putting off.
What is this world, exactly?
Is it purely Harry Potter? Or is this another mash-up?
I want to know. I really do. But not right now.
If I start digging into that stuff now, I'll get distracted. Or worse, involved. And I'm not ready for that mess yet.
I need to keep my curiosity contained. For now.
That said, if I'm still alive and not sealed away in some weird dimension, it probably means beings like the Living Tribunal or Celestialsapien are either not around or just ignoring me.
Even the Ancient One didn't come knocking. And she's... wait, he's male in the comics, right?
Point is: if things are that deep, I'm still under the radar. For now.
So I'll finish Hogwarts first, then start digging. Unless something really unexpected happens.
6. OMNIVERSE TRAVEL: Darling in the Franxx
Ah. This one hurts.
I never rewatched it.
One of the few shows that genuinely made me sad.
Sigh. Maybe this'll be the first world I go into just to bring someone out.
That's the plan, at least.
Of course, I'll only use this if I'm absolutely sure I can pull them out safely.
If I enter before the main plot, maybe I'll prep and intervene.
If it's post-canon, then it's simple. No need to overthink it.
7. Marin Kitagawa Cosplay Photographs (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru)
Oh wow. Nice pose.
She's really bold, huh?
Bunny suit? Is she cosplaying some ecchi character?
Still, she looks amazing. Like she's practically saying "breed me" with that confidence.
8. Han Seoul-Oh (Fast and the Furious)
Damn. Now I don't have to worry about drifting anymore.
Still, can't help but miss Paul.
9. Kunai x100 (Naruto)
Kunai again? Still, can't complain. It's useful stuff.
A hundred kunai means a hundred lives, if you know how to use them right.
Which I do.
10. Silver Coins x10 (Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World)
Nice. These will come in handy if I ever end up in that world.
Let's be honest. Michio lived the dream life most isekai protagonists could only fantasize about.
Becomes an adventurer. Builds a harem. No mind control. Just vibes.
Dog? Check. Cart? Check. Elf girl? Dragoid? Man of culture? All checked.
The guy speedran isekai living on easy mode.
11. Package: Adrian Griffin (The Invisible Man)
So, this guy was apparently a genius. He created a suit that bends light using cameras and tech to make himself completely invisible.
The package came with both his suit and his template, which honestly isn't bad. Tech like this is perfect for setting up a hidden base or disappearing when needed.
Still, I was kinda hoping for something flashier.
Feels like my gacha luck is running dry. The rest of the pulls? Yeah, let's just say they're more novelty than necessity.
12. Earl's Headphones (2 Broke Girls)
Seriously?
13. Ray-Ban Sunglasses (Men in Black)
Okay. Technically iconic.
14. Sheldon's Flash T-Shirt (The Big Bang Theory)
Red shirt. Flash logo.
15. Sword of Kings (Vikings)
16. Teddy (Mr. Bean)
Yeah. It's literally a stuffed bear.
17. Kick Buttowski's Helmet (Kick Buttowski)
18. Berg (The Maze Runner)
Now we're talking.
That transport from Maze Runner is legit.
19. Fire Stone (Pokémon)
Okay. Now this is interesting.
No use yet. But if I ever pull a Vulpix or Growlithe, I'm ready.
20. Spider-Man Mask (Marvel)
Looks awesome. Feels awesome.
Does absolutely nothing.
No overpowered boost or hidden perk, but still. Can't complain. The spin wasn't bad overall. Just the Sorcerer's Apprentice travel card alone makes up for it.
Though maybe I should start thinking about meeting my so-called future parents.
Lucius. Narcissa.
How are they going to see me?
Will they notice anything different?
Will they do something?
Will they know I'm not their son?
...Fuck it. Whatever happens, happens.
Worst-case scenario? I'll just leave this world for a few years.
Yeah. That's it. No need to stress.
Still, I do hope everything goes smoothly.
