Chapter 46: Unstoppable feelings
After the conversation between them, Katharine discussed the outing with her sister.
"Katharine, I always advise you to stay away from Liz. You know she forgets her memory, and when she remembers, I believe she will hate us back," Angela explained.
"Aunty, let's forget about that. I and Liz have been good friends, and I believe she will forgive me when she remembers her memory. Let us forgive her," she said, and her, sister agreed with her promising to confuse Mr. Bezos.Mr. Bezos agreed to let her go with Katharine, but he asked them bodyguards to follow her secretly.
At 5Stars Club, Liz was sitting with Katharine while they were having a drink.
"Katharine, this hotel looks familiar," Liz said because she had come to the club when she was still with her memory.
"Hmm, I don't think so," Katharine denied just to confuse her.
"Is it true I stayed in the Philippines and am engaged to herin ? "she asked.
"Ah, hmm, yes, he is your fiancé," she replied.
"And you think we love each other?" she asked again.
"Hmm," Katharine didn't know what to say.
"Your answer is long to reply. Hope you guys are not hiding anything," she was suspecting Katharine was scared, and she quickly confused her.
"Okay, I believe you," Liz said, and a song was played in the club that was Jay's song. Liz listened to the song; she was interested in the music.
"Katharine, who sang that song?" she asked.
"Oh, I don't know," she lied.
"Hmm, if you can't tell me, I will ask myself," she stood up and walked to the bar man .
"How may I help you, young lady?" the man asked.
"Please, did you know the guy who sang this music?" Liz asked.
"Oh, and you are in this country? Everybody knows him," the man said.
"Well, I didn't stay in this country; I am from Philippines," Liz explained.
"Okay, this song was sang by Jay, the popular musician. He attended Favorite Musical School," he explained. That name sounds familiar to her.
"Am his fan, and I am also attending his show tomorrow?" the man explained.
"Okay," Liz said and turned back. She went back to her seat.
"What's wrong, Liz?" Katharine asked.
"I know who sang this song; also, his name looks familiar," she explained.
"Hmm, I don't think so," Katharine replied with a fake smile.
"We need to return home," she said because she was not comfortable with Liz's questions.
"Okay," Liz replied, and Katharine went to pay for the bills, and they walked out.
At Mr. Bezos' mansion, Liz was in her room, busy with her laptop, searching for Jay's pages. Luckily, she found them and followed his pages.
At Favorite Hotel, ( Jay's room,)
he lay down on his bed, staring at Liz's pictures while tears dropped from his eyes. A notification popped up on her home screen; he viewed it and saw Liz following him. He quickly jumped on his feet and messaged her.
At Mr. Bezos' mansion, Liz was about to close her laptop when she saw Jay's message.
(Hi, Liz.)
She was confused when she saw her name written on the message and quickly replied, asking him how he knew his name. Jay shocked her by saying he knew her name because it was written on her page. Liz believed him. They chatted throughout the night, and Jay even invited her to his show, which was taking place the next day. Liz agreed to come.
Next day, five maids entered Liz's room and woke her up. Liz stood up and walked to the bathroom. The maids cleaned her room when they were done and left. Liz walked out of the bathroom, put on her towel, and sat in front of the mirror. She opened her laptop and messaged Jay. Not long after, he replied to her, and they talked, even making a video call. Liz was comfortable with him, even with only her towel on. After some minutes, she ended the call and lay down on her bed. She was happy but didn't know why her heart was beating fast. She seemed to like him, recalling all their conversations and blushing. After some minutes, she dressed up and joined her family at the dining. She saw Herin sitting with her father and Mr. Mark Bezos, who told her to sit beside Herin.
"Hi, Liz," he said, and Liz gave him a nod as she sat beside him.
"You two always look good together," Mr. Mark Bezos said with a smile playing around his face.
"Why don't you two go out for a date tonight?" Mr. Mark asked. Liz saw it as an opportunity to attend Jay's show, planning to escape when they were together.
"Or are you not interested?" Mr. Mark asked.
"I don't know if Liz will be interested," Herin said.
"Yes, that will be good. Moreover, I need to know more about my fiancé because I have lost most about our relationship," she said with a fake smile.
"Okay, that will be good," Mr. Mark said, and he continued eating his food.
Some hours later, Liz and her friend went out for a date. Liz took an excuse to use the toilet. When she got to the toilet, she took off her gown and changed into a normal dress, putting on a face cap. She walked out of the toilet without the bodyguards noticing her. She got out of the restaurant, where Herin was waiting for her. He was determined to check on her. He knocked on the door and noticed no one was inside. He opened it; the toilet was empty. He quickly rushed to inform the bodyguards, and they went out to search for her. Liz arrived at Jay show, entered the contest, and stood among the people listening to his song. Liz also enjoyed his song when he was done. He told his bouncer to direct her to him. The bouncer obeyed, and Liz was brought to him. He was happy to see her and felt like hugging her, but he couldn't because Liz didn't know him as her boyfriend and she believed they were ordinary friends.
"Hi, Jay," Liz said with her soft voice. Jay smiled.
"How are you doing? "He asked. Liz replied with a smile.
"Come and have your seat," he said, and Liz quickly sat in front of him. Both of them discussed and laughed when one of them said something funny.
"I heard you attended the popular school," Liz asked.
"Yes, so did you," he said, while he forgot that she had lost her memory.
"No, I did not," Liz replied.
"O, sorry, it was a slip of words," he lied.
"Okay, it was fine," she said in a cool voice.
"I am so happy to see you. The last time I heard your music, I thought to myself that the voice sounded familiar. Also, when I saw your face, you looked familiar to me, as if we had met before," she explained. Jay kept quiet.
"What's wrong, Jay? Liz asked when she saw his reaction.
"Nothing," Jay lied and faked a smile. He thought to himself, "I wish I could hug you."
"O, the time is gone. I need to leave before my fiancé reports me to my father," she said and stood up.
"You have a fiancé?" he asked.
"Yes, my father said that, and we are getting married soon," she said with a smile.
"Don't worry, you will be the one to sing for us because I am now your big fan," she said and took his bag. Jay was mute, even his eyes were red.
"Okay, I wish…\"You good luck," he said with a fake smile, and she left. Jay held his face, using his hand to scatter his hair.
