Chapter 6: c6

The Fool's Mistake

-West. The North. winterfell. Year 268-

-Lord's Quarters-

Nine months had passed and Hariric could say that it had been an incredible nine months. First point is that thanks to his enchantment-based magic he had gotten a lot of workers. People who wanted a fresh start. This had led many people to come north to work at various important points. The first to be noticed were the gold mines of the Stark house. The first thing was to build the mining base or fortress that was based on Minas Tirith, an imposing and powerful fortress obviously designed for the workers of the place, although of course that at the same time had meant completely reinventing Winter Town something that had no real problem with do it for real

If the mighty fortress that was Winterfell was impressive then Winter Town was clearly the place for it. Completely surrounding Winterfell with a powerful wall and several towers for its defense. The city was made in a Greco-Roman style and at the same time it had a good drainage system which meant it didn't smell like shit. The city was divided into four sectors: Leisure (basically drinking taverns, brothels and casinos), workplaces (from the newest smithies in the North to, for example, the glass production of House Stark, the newest glass gardens and liquor stores), housing and finally the forest area or as Hariric called it natural area. It was not a place to worship the old gods but a forest where people would be in peace and quiet that was highly appreciated by all.

While it is true that nine months was a very fast time to build, Hariric had once again cheated with his Umbra. His Umbra had been divided between Winter Town and the Winter Meum. This had meant a faster and more efficient work that had meant that in six months the mines were finished and soon extracting gold and its workers happy spending their money. Fortunately he was already in the process of creating a bank more than anything because he wanted his people to have a suitable place to deposit their newly earned wealth and at the same time not lose their money even if it greatly benefited House Stark.

After that hariric made the acquisition of the lands of Sea Dragon point and at the same time of the Stony Coast. One did more or less well. The Mormonts were on board with the idea that the lands of Sea Dragon Pint should be further used when it was reported that it would become the western port that would be used both as a defense zone against iron raiders and as a form of trade with West of course. The Glovers were unfortunately not happy and had already launched two attacks that had ended badly with all the soldiers sent dead and more than one letter from his father to the Glovers stating that they better leave him alone.

Unfortunately the Stony Shore was a very different matter. The Ryswell house had tried to extort money and do everything in his power. They had tried to prevent the beginning of the construction of what Hariric called the Winter Fortress (Winter Fortress) which would be in a few words intended to create a fortress that would allow in a few words the defense of the reinforced West coast together with Black Wolf Port in what was Sea Dragon Point. The Ryswells thought they could get away with it until it was made clear that if they even tried then it would mean the end of the house. His father Rickard had looked impressed that his son was more Stark than anyone could imagine being known by many even today as the Black Winter Wolf of the North

Hariric didn't give a shit about his renown or anything like that. The only thing that had mattered to him was to start making the North the super power that he was. Thanks to the Obelisks, the climate and the soil were better, which had meant an increase in farms produced in the north. Added to this was the point that Hariric had supplied the necessary elements for the production of food. The Dustin and Umber houses had felt more than anything satisfied with his actions along with the Tallhart house. Now instead of buying the other houses from the south they bought these except the Starks with their glass gardens of course

With this he had begun his new operation or rather the beginning of this one: the distilleries. With wine being the only apparent form of alcohol, Hariric had sensed a market they could easily tap. From the houses of the lords of the neck that were producing tons of rice, Sake could be obtained. Sake was an incredibly powerful drink indeed. From the Umbers and their potato fields would be drawn in a few words the Vodka that was so appreciated by everyone he knew. The Beer would come from the Dustins since they had the largest wheat fields that were excellent for their production and also using a more advanced system would be a much more efficient process. While the whiskey would come from the Tallharts

He was not a greedy person and was already working on a contract. Hariric would buy the necessary equivalent of the food product that would be needed from said families and in exchange instead of paying them for the price of what was the request for food he would pay them with one third of the money produced by the sale of alcohol. It was still a lot more than they would earn from selling food and that's not counting that houses like the Tallharts were producing the most iron used in the North right now so it was a huge profit for everyone.

That led him to think about the Neutral houses directed nothing more and nothing less than the karstark house. Unlike the other cadet families (and House Stark is known to have had many more than were listed in the history documents) the Karstarks were far more intelligent. It was pretty obvious that they had three plans. Plan number one was obviously to wait for the fight between the winter alliance and the red alliance and once the war was clearly decided to help the winning side to finish the matter off. A good plan if he had to say it himself except for the part that in the end it would still mean being looked at with suspicion at least in his case.

The other possible plan was to wait until both alliances fought and finish them both off due to the fact that they would be too weak. Once again a clever plan however that plan went completely to hell when hariric was born here. With him here it was quite obvious that the houses of the Winter Alliance were stronger and more powerful than ever and that was only after a few months so naturally they would soon be stronger and more powerful. Over time they would grow in power and the Karstark would have only two options: ally with them or remain neutral. It was that simple the matter at hand and they didn't really have a way to prevent it which was a good thing.

The next point was to stay without doing anything. It wasn't the best plan but if they stayed without doing anything they could claim that they didn't want to get involved in matters that didn't concern them. That was a policy he could respect if only for the fact that they obviously didn't want to get their hands dirty with the blood of former allies and whatnot. Unfortunately for them as it looked anyway at least in hariric's mind that would not happen. The Boltons would not tolerate it and if it was possible he could exploit it to naturally put things on his side, at least that's what he thought in this sense, which was much more than anyone could really imagine.

However, as always there were ways to get someone on your side. The Karstark house was an important plan. They had one of the largest forests. And thanks to its magic it would be possible to use it to produce the wood so brutally necessary for the formation of the Eastern fleet. That would give House Karstark a lot of new money of course. Not to mention that his lands were excellent for other cultivation systems, which would naturally mean that the Karstark house would be considerably strengthened by his actions, which was much more than could be said in the opinion of some that he knew. The Karstark house would be the beginning of putting them under his command completely.

However, any thought he had about it was focused on his little brother Ned who was there. At eight years old, Eddard Stark, although he liked to be called ned, was not what many would call a normal child. Ned was simply a good boy who followed him everywhere. That should say a lot about how attached Ned really was to him. For as long as he could remember he had helped ned in every sense of the word. She was his little brother after all. And he was the calmest between him and his sister Lyanna who was a wild little thing who just wanted to explore and discover more of the world. For that reason alone she was very interesting to watch

''You know you don't need to be here little brother. You could be with Dareon right now or enjoying a moment with Willem and Jon. The two of them see you as their own little brother and I can stay here perfectly controlled the state of breast as is my duty``. Hariric sighed. His little brother refused to get away from his side in every possible way, especially at this moment. When her mother had gone into labor they had brought her immediately. It had been lucky, although Hariric had certain fears and worries that were more than justified if you stopped to think about it, taking into account certain things that were a problem in these times for the North itself.

´´I am a Stark. My duty is to be with my family above all else. Leaving my family alone in the moment of need would be more than wrong in fact, not to mention that it would be a more than bad action since I know that you have more projects to work on than to be here standing guard like a wolf ``. Ned was clear on one point and that is that his sister was possibly one of the most important figures in the North. He was not only incredibly smart but he was working tirelessly on everything necessary to make the North a much better place. That alone should say how dedicated his brother was to what he said to be here.

´´Yet you are just a child Ned. I don't want to offend but you should be calmer about other things if you know what I mean. I know and I am perfectly aware that in reality little brother you are shaking because of what it is to be here of all things``. Hariric sighed. His little brother was too good a person. It was lucky that he was not the future ruler of the north. The red alliance would have eaten him with chips if he had to be honest. Not to say that there were actually more things to do if he had to be honest and his brother should be more focused on himself that was his opinion

No. I don't want to get away from mom and even less from you when I'm perfectly aware that something else is going on. You're nervous bro. There is something you know and you are afraid of happening. If we are together we will be able to do much more than if we are divided. The lone wolf dies but the one in the pack survives the winter and winter always comes. Ned spoke with such devotion that he was surprising to hear yet at the same time you could honestly say that he was the most normal little boy who had nothing but good feelings for what was in a nutshell his family. Devotion. Loyalty. That's how he felt about his family

''Good words and well said little pup. I won't deny it actually. There are things that make me nervous. The birth is a month earlier than expected and if there is one thing I know for the truth to be told, it is that most premature babies end up dying. It is said that Princess Elia Martell, although she has survived, is very weak. I fear for our little brother``. Hariric had heard of Elia Martell's problems with the information network created by the Reeds. Using their followers of the greenseers they had in small numbers and skinwalkers had meant in a nutshell having an advantage even though most greenseers could only see a fraction of the past which was a shame.

´´And you are afraid that mom will lose the child she is bringing into the world and you want to be here to give him all your necessary support to make sure by all means that there is no problem with him. If I mean it honestly brother I think I am very lucky to have you as a brother. You are always worried about all of us. Ned had no other words to describe his brother. Hariric could be involved in his projects but he always dedicated part of the day to his brothers. With lyanna he had fun playing with her. And with him he was always training or helping him with the lessons. It did not matter. His brother was always there for them and he never left them alone.

´´Little brother listen to my words and listen carefully. A storm could come. An army could come. The same white walkers could come. But as long as I have a single drop of blood in my body, there will be no force in this world that is capable of preventing me from taking care of my brothers so you know. Not now, not never. Nothing will stop me from protecting my family. Hariric almost growled what he had to say however he cooled off about it. He was very possessive. His family. As Black had been educated that power did not matter. Money didn't matter. The family and only the family was worth more than the gold of the entire world. That's why just thinking of someone touching a single finger of his younger brother would make the world feel such fear that they would prefer death.

''Hey just so you know I'm not a simple child you can take care of. One day I will grow up and become a man. I will be a great man who will bring a lot of honor to the Stark family and that nothing and no one will be able for anything in the world to say anything other than how great we are. Ned growled. He hated being treated like a baby. His sister always protected him (little did he know that his so-called protection was rather small compared to what he could do about it) and he felt as if he somehow didn't think he would be able to. protect yourself. He was upset if he had to say it and at the same time a feeling more than warm

´´Ned the world is a harsher and crueler place than you could really imagine. I am not excessively taking care of you because I feel that you cannot defend yourself in the future. But right now it's better to be looking out for yourself than to let some worthless bastard think he can still lay a hand on you. It will always be so. Hariric growled. For some time he had already intercepted an assassination attempt against ned. The assailant had died, but not before knowing who was responsible. The Boltons would learn not long before that it was a considerable mistake to piss off a wolf. They could have hacked people to pieces, but how did that compare to the power and force of nature itself?

´´But if I am not able to take care of myself, how will I be able to grow? You always say it. That tying the hands of a person will mean that this person will not be able to grow and therefore will mean that a person will be unable to fulfill her goals since she will be used to being led and guided by many other people``. Ned looked at his brother confused because he honestly didn't know what else to do about it and it felt strange. Honestly, his brother had many ways of expressing his opinion and believing, although he was also a very serious person, Ned could tell that his brother cared a lot about him, which at the same time made him feel strange.

´´Not a bad opinion ned. Well thought. If someone shakes your hand and guides you, that will prevent you from thinking and reasoning for yourself. Always remember that no one guides you. You are a wolf. You look ahead. The herd is there to lean on above all else. To keep warm To hunt. Especially to cover each other's backs. There is nothing else``. Hariric smirked. His brother was really interesting. He wasn't an idiot boy and he was beginning to learn to think for himself that he was much more than most people could say. It was better to be able to use the brain than to be guided by other people, at least he thought so

´´However, although it is true that you are an incredibly mature and intelligent young man, in the end you will always and forever be my little brother Ned. My obligation as an older brother is to protect you first and foremost. You. lyanna. And even the little one that is about to come into this world. It is my obligation and nothing will really change me about it``. Hariric sighed. He could see his brother making a face for it but hey nothing and no one could change a person like him. If the people of the wizarding world didn't change him from being protective of his little offspring, what hope was there that there was actually a single existence that would be able to change him? And even more so his younger brother whom he had to protect above all else.

''Well I guess if you put it that way. Anyway, Hariric had a question, it's a bit about the matter of me going to the Valley. Why is this happening? have I upset father and mother in any way? Have I discouraged them by not being as smart as you?``. Ned looked down at the floor, naturally dreading anything that might be said. However his brother's arm was placed around his shoulder and when he looked up he met with fury. Not against him. His brother would never hate them. No. The fury was there but clearly under control as hard as steel. His brother wanted to release all that anger about something or someone that had bothered him.

No. In the least, never think that it was you. Never think that you have done something. Never think or believe that for some reason you are responsible for something like that. Ned. You are a growing child. I am me. You are you. You must not expect to become a replica of me. You must be yourself. Forever and ever is that simple little brother``. Hariric growled. If there was one thing he had hated, it was when he was told of Jon Arryn's desire to take Ned in to clearly cement ties between the valley and House Stark. The fact that the crown got fully involved had been another blow to House Stark that none of the members were the least bit happy about.

´´I…thank you brother. But he still feels that way. He feels like I'm going to stop being a Stark. I am being taken out of the family after all. I am sorry brother. Sorry to have worried you but why is this happening? For what reason am I being taken from my home and sent to the valley? The history of the North with the Valley is mainly not good at all really``. Ned shuddered. Unlike Master Wallys, his brother's lessons were always stronger. He made it clear to her that House Stark was not an honorable and pleasant house. They were wolves. The north was forged through blood and death, not pretty words. And the valley were bitter enemies of the north especially for their theft of the three sisters after all

´´Not that any of us are happy with said action Ned. Mother and father were far less happy with the fact that you had to be sent south of all things. Especially to the valley. He could have accepted the storm lands. The Baratheon though part Valyrian blood are not honor-believing imbeciles and therefore not idiots``. Hariric's opinion of the rulers of Arryn Vale is that they were a bunch of imbeciles who believed or thought on the matter that being or at least having honor was better than being without honor. Hariric believed that honor was fine but not to the point that it would cost you and your family your lives. Honor was fine but there were times when you shouldn't have it

''But why then? Father is Lord Stark. He is the lord of the North. Why would the king even think that it is a good idea of all things to cause him such a nuisance? It would be like driving a kind of stake into an important part of the Stark family. The pain will be there. The outrage will be there and no one will forget it in any way``. Ned couldn't understand why the king would do such things? He didn't make sense in his mind. It was one thing guaranteed to piss off the Stark family after all.

´´I see you are reading a lot about the books I gave you. Well done. Ned we are going to start a new lesson that I am sure is more than necessary in the teaching material for your future. First point, we are going to explain in a few words what is happening here. Why do you think the king is doing this? Think about it. Reason and try to understand why you think he does it, don't say the first thing that comes to your head. The best way to teach was not to show the method of doing things but to make a person think about things. It was that simple and easy and at the same time complicated

´´Well, the king would win…I don't know what he would win. In other words, in addition to pissing off the north and making the valley owe him a favor since he is meddling in the affairs of the North. If you stop to think about it, the king is not exactly gaining anything with this``. Ned looked at his brother without understanding. Why would the king do something that didn't give him a direct profit? He was so meaningless that he couldn't understand it. To his surprise, his brother laughed in amusement. When he expected a reprimand, his brother just clapped for it as if to congratulate him. He couldn't help but smile knowing that he had won his brother's approval after all which was a good thing in his opinion.

''Well you thought. The King gains nothing. Or rather he gains something in his opinion. Aerys Segundo. The king that many consider to be the most ambitious of the entire Targaryen house without counting Aegon the conqueror. Well thought that he supposedly does not earn anything but the harsh reality is that he does seek to earn something: renown. Everyone likes the idea of being remembered. Everyone likes the idea that they are seen and remembered for the times. And that is what Aerys`` is looking for. Hariric had obtained many reports from Aerys. A man known in short as an ambitious leader. He was not lacking in intelligence but according to what they were telling him he saw nothing more and nothing less than rats where there were none and he was good... very cruel behind closed doors than what they could tell him

´´Well if the king does not earn anything you must be wondering what is this renown that he earns? Very simple. It is well known that although it is true that the North is united with the seven kingdoms, it has an immense displeasure with the South. This comes from the policy of exploitation of the lands of the rivers and well the way in which the southerners see us. Whether you like it or not, it is the brutal case that this has caused a nuisance between North and South``. Harirc scoffed. There was no mistake. Southerners had a northern opinion and vice versa. For the south, the north was uncivilized because they were direct. For the north the south was a nest of vipers because if you don't realize it they will stab you in the back

´´So they hope that by sending me to the Valley I will grow a union between the north and the south, however, why the valley? I understand that the Baratheon house is related to the Targaryen house, wouldn't it be smarter to send me to breed with the house that is obviously family? That is at least what I would do``. Ned couldn't understand the thought process. It was so stupid and pointless. To his delight once again his brother chuckled as if finding the whole thing amusing and at the same time insulting that his little brother of all things could actually see it coming.

''Good thinking ned. Very well thought. You have shown that you have more brains than many in just that opinion. The answer is quite easy. Jon Arryn is not only educating you but Robert baratheon who is in a nutshell the heir to the stormlands. Jon Arryn really has been a smart man if I have to say so. Though he was smart he didn't mean much in Hariric's opinion. The only thing he had shown was to be intelligent and clearly farsighted. Naturally some would say that was a rather inadequate way of thinking, but Harirc Stark learned long ago that suspicion is not a bad companion.

''What do you mean smart? When Maester Wallys talks about the Arryns he refers to them as the noblest of knights however well you don't seem to have the highest opinion of them is it because the Vale and the North have disagreements of some kind?``. Ned looked at his brother obviously looking for more information. The more he knows the better if he had to say so naturally he wanted to know as much as possible. His brother gave him a single look that said very clearly that although he had been right, he had also fallen short. What did his brother know about this? Why didn't he trust House Arryn in any way? Did he have some kind of personal problem with the valley?

''Since you're using your head a lot more than expected I guess I'll have to give you the right words. Ned, I'll be blunt, was very wary of the South. In the south, a game is played: the Game of Thrones. It is politics in its wildest state where people are used. People are taken advantage of and manipulated to maneuver them and thus obtain the clear satisfaction of superiority. If I have to be honest, I don't like the south at all just for that point``. Honestly, the south was not even up to the soles of its heels in magical politics since the magical ones were much more terrifying if he had to be frank. With a clear look from Ned he could see that his sister was understanding his reasons.

''You fear that they are somehow thinking of using me, don't you? You think that the south is thinking of creating an alliance of necessity between the north and some families to exploit us in some way and thus make a profit``. Ned could be a child but with his brother's way of being he had learned to think that he was important to him in his brother's opinion. Many might be able to wield a sword but few knew how to use it correctly and come out on top at the same time. When his sister spoke to him in such a way, he made it clear, at least in his personal opinion, that he had an interest in turning him into someone even more capable than everything else.

good. You've thought about it which is really good ned. My fear, and I think it's a healthy fear, is that they'll try to use you in some way to get north. You are the second son. You are my little brother. And I fear in many ways that they have tried nicely to make you think the same way they do so they can use you against us``. He didn't make sense to hide from his brother what he thought. His brother was clearly more intelligent than he let on, so naturally he was convinced that he could be capable of much more, at least that was his opinion on the matter. His brother just gave him a surprised look for a moment.

´´You are not afraid of what they want to do but you are afraid of what they will want to do to me. That's why you're against the Valley, that's why you're angry with Arryn's house. Because instead of leaving me alone in any way and letting me be a child they are trying to turn me into a pawn in this so-called game of thrones with the intention of reaching the North``. Ned couldn't believe it. The more he thought about it the more he could see it. And the more he thought about it, the more he agreed with his brother. If he were a normal eight-year-old boy he would never have noticed (fortunately between his brother's upbringing and the passive teaching of occlumency Ned was many things but a normal child).

''And that's where you see where my problem is dear brother. I don't much care what they try to do to me. I don't care much if they send assassins after me. But my family is being threatened and that doesn't make me the least bit happy. It infuriates me in the worst way and I want nothing more than to put the bastards in their place who think they can play the game this way``. In his opinion there were limits. There were rules. But since Jon Arryn had thought so kindly to fuck off the rules and regulations, he would do this himself. If he wanted conflict with him so much, he would make sure Jon Arryn understood his mistake of action.

''But the reputation of the Arryns will be tarnished by these actions. I mean they will be seen as manipulative and clearly trying to use the people of the North in some way. Why the hell would people let them be like that of all things?``. Ned couldn't believe it. He couldn't understand it. Why would the other kingdoms let him be like that? He made no sense in his child's mind. Why wouldn't the other kingdoms do something about it to stop these people who were clearly more than okay with letting them do this? He didn't make sense in his mind. The kingdom should have limits on what is done. Unfortunately his brother answered for him

''First you have to prove it. You have to show that Jon Arryn is trying to maneuver things to create a powerful alliance between the Baratheon, Arryn and Stark houses. Of course any other noble house in the south would see it well. Alliances give power. They don't see it the same way we do but what is reprehensible is what is necessary to build such an alliance if you stop to think about it``. Hariric knew it. Ned would just be a pawn. His mission was to be turned into the tool for Jon Arryn to turn the North into his cause and if he failed then he would eliminate those who opposed him in the shadows and place a loyal person who in this case would be Ned. The north cannot be ruled by a southerner. Only another northerner could do it

´´Because as it is the construction of an alliance that is seeking to bring the North closer to the South on the one hand and on the other hand to strengthen the eastern side, the king would be relieved thinking that it is clearly a job on his part. He will not focus on seeing any other negative point. He will only think of it as a good thing that he has been able to build. Ned was clearly surprised and at the same time impressed with his brother. His sister had discovered so much easily. He was simply impressive if he had to say it himself and at the same time tell her that his brother was made to be Lord Stark. He clearly knew more, he knew better and was more competent than anyone could imagine.

indeed. In the end, the issue is that the king would not realize that a powerful alliance would have been created, three of the seven great houses in alliance? It would be terrifying to have it in front of him and that is only with the previous data they have from the Stark house. Once it becomes clear that the North has more and more resources, don't you think more houses from the South will come and try something? The question is how long we can hide our achievements to put ourselves in the best position. Unfortunately if Jon Arryn has his way you would become the pawn to be the key to the north for the valley``. Because that's what would happen. Once you carry out all your plans, the north will be the kingdom with the greatest supply of products and the greatest resources. Thanks to another of his magic that he had placed in the mines of Cerwyn, Tallhart, the Starks,

''Because I'll be the one who can convince you. I will be the key to give the lords of the Vale access to you and the North. That's what Jon Arryn wants these days. He wants to use me to get to the North and have access to all that the North has to offer. He has no interest in patching up the fights between First Men and Andals``. Ned practically growled. He might be the calmest of wolves but he was still a wolf and he would not allow himself to be manipulated by anyone or anything in this world.

''You have noticed brother. That's Jon Arryn's plan. The interest of him. His mission. He wants to turn House Stark into little more than a puppet. It would be the ultimate revenge. Valley. The great Andalos are said to descend from the legendary seven-star Argo, the greatest of the Andalo kings who was killed by Theon the hungry wolf. Like it or not, there is a war between the valley and the Norteños who have not forgotten in any way``. Hariric growled. The war he intended to win. The valley could believe that they had the advantage here but they were wrong in the ways they thought. Because if they really believed that he would let them lay a finger on his brother, they would quickly learn the error of such an action.

''And that's why you're so unhappy. You don't like the idea of our house being used by anything or anyone. You hate and despise him for it but on top of that it's because he's getting me in the middle of the whole thing and clearly using me as a tool in his so-called plan``. Ned now understood his brother much better. He now understood why he felt so furious with Arryn's house. They were getting into the affairs of House Stark and, as a final blow, they were also causing major problems for them. His brother was not happy about it and there was nothing he wanted more than to put them in their place. Hariric was many things but he was not understanding

good. You've understood. Jon Arryn had thought of all the things he was getting away with. However, I will make things clear. Jon Arryn may have managed to win the king over to his side, but there are always ways to break such plans. Hariric sighed knowing clearly that there were always obvious solutions to what actions were. Although Jon Arryn had done this and gained himself a pupil, he had unfortunately forgotten that there was nothing to say that Hariric couldn't mark a band of protection for Ned and more importantly a group that was teaching him about Northern values. Jon Arryn could teach him to be a lord but he might never be able to teach him to be a Stark after all.

´´I find it very hard to believe brother that you can or have the means to contain Jon Arryn. In other words, the man will surely have prepared for everything and will try to appeal to the fact that you are possibly getting fully involved in the affairs of House Arryn``. Ned could clearly see the Arryn's plans claiming in some way that they were throwing themselves into education. His brother could have good plans but in the end they could blow up right in their faces, which would not be pleasant in the least.

´´While it is possible Jon Arryn is forgetting that in every guardianship an escort and guard should always be accepted, could Jon Arryn really think that we would not use that for our purpose? And on top of that there is another notable point that Jon Arryn has forgotten and that is that we can use the previous actions of House Arryn to clearly destroy any thoughts they have about it``. If there was one good thing about the story, it is that it could be perfectly used to destroy the best plans hatched. It was always like that at least in hariric's personal opinion at least. If you want to destroy something, aim where you know it will hurt.

´´You mean the event that meant the death of Ana Stark later and she married Lord Ronnel Arryn who was going to be the last king of the mountain, right? It was a marriage ordered by the House of Targaryens in an attempt to unite the House of Starks to the south but since the Targaryens saw no point in putting themselves in the same situation in the end it meant in a nutshell that he married two blood enemies and Anna Stark was found dead a short time later with her unborn child also from poison. Ned spoke quietly. That was one of the darkest things in the Stark house and a memory widely used by the Stark house to remind themselves that they should not trust the Arryns.

´´The blindness of the Arryn house in their desire to remain as pure as they themselves referred to themselves was done neither more nor less to avoid putting the blood of the first men in their beautiful Andala blood``. The Arryns were racists despising the first men. There was a reason he didn't like them. That and also Hariric felt that if everything went according to Jon Arryn's plans many unpleasant things would happen to House Stark. He didn't like him in the slightest. He preferred not to take risks as far as he was concerned and neither did his family if he had to be honest and that is why he decided that if he had to avoid it he would do it by all means and at the same time he would hit the house of Arryn as much as possible.

''Why doesn't Maester Wallys mention this in his lessons though? Wouldn't it be very important to teach in any case? This is a top of the line education. It is obviously about the history of House Stark and at the same time the importance of what the future of the house means. Ned could not understand that in his young mind. What reason did the maester have for getting into the history of House Stark? Although he felt that the answer would not like what he could come to deduce if he had to be honest. Because if the maester had focused so much to avoid it, it was bad for him.

´´You asked an intelligent question ned. The harsh reality is that Wallys doesn't want to. How do you think southerners view the past? The Stark house is the only house that not only endures but supports the powerful Andalos. Even the mighty House Targaryens were forced to conform to Andal standards by the end of the day. It doesn't matter how you looked at it, the case at hand is that we are a threat. That's why they want to destroy the history of House Stark``. In fact Hariric had obtained hundreds of history books not only from the hands of the Stark family but also from many other houses in possession of the maesters that explained the best possible history of House Stark and did not paint them as such honorable people.

''The truth, brother, is that House Stark does not care about the so-called Game of Thrones. For us the game of thrones is a waste of time. What can we win? What are we looking to have? Nothing. The south has nothing of interest and soon we will leave them even further behind. However, the North is of value to the South. We are the last conquest. Those who have not truly folded``. Hariric scoffed. The southerners might think they had everything under control but it wasn't quite true. Your faith. His idiotic way of running the kingdom. It was these things that in the end made them weak and because the North would rise as a true super power. That was his plan actually

''And that's why they love me. I am the key to the North. Jon Arryn hopes to make me into the little northern plant of him. As the brother of House Stark I see myself in a privileged position and if something were to happen to you I would be the lord of House Stark so it would be quite natural for someone to plot against you, right brother?``. Ned shuddered. Such a way of thinking, could people really be so cruel? Ned was still a child and had a hard time adjusting to politics. Hariric of course was something very different so I already knew about all this actually. But Ned still had to adjust and it made him completely sick.

Yeah. Jon Arryn hopes that as my brother it will give you leverage. He would let you move as you want and in the end you would create your own faction in the North. In the end there are people who are upset. There are people who want more and if you prove to be the door to that something else they will be eager to get behind you which would force me. But if for some reason something happened to me, it would be in a few words the Lord of the Starks``. Hariric would have said more but at that moment the doors opened with his father leaving the room with a small baby in her hands and with a smile from ear to ear of the pure happiness that he felt at that moment.

Hariric looked at his brother with an equally big smile as Ned calmly approached. In the corner of the room there was a person not so happy that he was neither more nor less than the master himself. The man was behind. He didn't know it but Hariric had been giving her mother a dose of phoenix tears along with bezoar powder as he had begun to see in her the symptoms of a poison that would have caused internal bleeding in childbirth. The child and she would have died. Hariric couldn't allow it in the slightest so here he was saving his mother. But his gray-green eyes never lost sight of the maester for it was clear to him what he had meant to do.

-Tower of Knowledge-

Wallys Flowers of Hightower House was not a happy man. He was nothing but nothing happy. Everything started well. His plans to move Lord Strark slowly into what was the control of the people of the south. It was not a difficult task at least in principle. But Rickard Stark was more than just a dimwitted wolf. He was smart and saw many of his tactics as attempts to introduce southern affairs into the north which he completely refused to do. Wallys however gave up on them only by sending messages to his comrades. In this regard, he began to forge tension with the lords of the rivers who were the ones who provided the largest amount of food in the North. With that he would slowly put Lord Stark between a rock and a hard place.

I would have preferred a domain girl. They were more intelligent and were educated from girls to play the game. To manipulate the situation to your advantage. In exploiting men who are too dumb to realize what was going on. There was no better example really than Olena Redwyne or as she was now called the Thorny Rose of Highgarden. Such a smart woman. Honestly, she was very dangerous if he himself had to say, but hey. In the end he had to include a girl from the rivers, at least that made him happy. Hoster Tully was an ambitious politician who wanted above all else to gain influence in his house. It was no secret that many thought of the Tully house as a worthless house.

However, everything went downhill when Hariric Stark was born. The child is not that he was intelligent but the following. The plan to encourage him to go to what was the Citadel to learn had two objectives. Keep him away from the North and at the same time build a bad reputation by making him look like a child raised in the South. If at the same time for some reason they could kill him all the better. But not three years later he returned to the north as a totally equal person. He brought two Rogare children with him and began what were operations that have changed the North in every sense of the word.

He did not like it. In no time the Stark boy had solved the food problem of the North which was something he had exploited. To add insult to injury he discovered a significant mountain range filled with gold. That was a problem. If the Starks managed to mine the gold, it would mean competing with the Lannisters and if you added to that that they could produce their own food, unlike the Lannisters, it would mean even more damage than to the lions. It was a problem. So he had sent a raven to the citadel. They had warned him that he should watch the passage of Hariric Stark at all times and that if possible he should look for a way to weaken the situation.

That's what he had done right away. As a faithful servant of the citadel. But years had passed and he had achieved nothing. His attempts to sabotage what were the mines ended badly. Hariric Stark took charge of young Eddard Stark's upbringing teaching him how to be a true Stark something more than terrifying in his opinion (they didn't want any of the great Starks back) and as if that wasn't enough whatever ideas he could have put in Lord Rickard's head went to hell when the man made it clear that they no longer had the same needs as before. They didn't need to buy the Tullys after all so it wasn't a solvable problem like before.

To add insult to injury House Stark had started a movement that had basically been dangerous by setting up and starting two brand new settlements. One at Sea Dragon point calling the place Black Wolf Port. He hadn't seen the plans for the port since the young Stark guarded them and the same for the Winter Fortress on the Stony shore. But if there was one thing that Wallys knew, it was that they were Hariric Stark's touch, which would mean in a few words that it was a more than efficient job, something that annoyed him in many ways. It was a nasty reminder that House Stark was setting itself above everyone else and that wasn't a good thing in the least.

With that he decided to contact the Bolton house. In the areas of the Bolton house a flower grew. It was a seemingly harmless flower. What nobody knew is that when you destroy its petals and put them in any drink and these are consumed in the body, they release a toxin that is very dangerous. At such an important time as the pregnancy, there was a good chance that he would end up killing the woman. Desperate times called for desperate measures, at least in his personal opinion anyway. He was doing what he knew was best for the seven kingdoms although he knew that if he was found out it would be bad but he had full faith that no one would suspect him.

At first everything seemed to be going well. The Stark matriarch was presenting the cases of a sick woman who would slowly fall. When the woman went into labor she would die anyway and then everything would be resolved. Rickard Stark in pain he could be manipulable. Make him see things one way and put him on the road as a good tool. That had been the plan. But today Lyarra Stark's labor had gone without a hitch and she had given birth to a healthy and strong boy which was not part of the plan. The happiness of House Stark was palpable at that time and that angered him in many ways since it meant fewer opportunities for the

He knew that something had to happen, had anyone found out about his uses of poison? She didn't believe it because if there was one thing that was true, it was that House Stark did not have anyone so well versed in any way in what was the knowledge of poisons. This was a serious problem that had to be addressed. Possibly the person who saved the Stark matriarch knew about him at that very moment. She knew what she had done. She did not doubt in the slightest that if the lords of the Stark house found out about it, they would kill him. No. Killing him would be very sweet and kind. And even more so because she had seen Rickard Stark enraged, although the worst was by far his son. Hariric Stark took the laws very seriously and enforced them with force and power.

Any thought of the boy pissed Wallys off. Hariric Stark was an anomaly. He had brought with him the secret of how to farm in the North which had meant that three of the Stark allied houses would see their crops grow and therefore be able to feed their people who were a nuisance. Hariric Stark brought the secret of the mines to the entire North that was another big problem if he had to be honest as it meant in a nutshell that the North now had in a nutshell mineral resources that he didn't like. But the worst secret was that he knew much more about architecture than even the best masters. He had rebuilt Winterfell and many other parts and given them sewage systems as well as drinking water systems that he couldn't even imagine.

No matter what the boy thought, it made him furious and so he decided it was time to change his strategy. Jon Arryn had made a move of his own. The man had clearly thought of promoting the Eddard boy as his political puppet. He now had to get rid of Hariric Stark for the sake of the seven kingdoms. This child would launch the North into a new force that would surely make it a clear threat to the rest of the great houses. Between the great defenses of territory and obviously its ability to produce food, that would mean an advantage for House Stark that it could not allow in the slightest.

Wallys sighed. He was about to get into his bed which was another reason for anger since instead of using the same system as the others he used what was a spring system as he had called it Hariric Stark. Much more comfortable and better. The best quality blankets thanks to his work. It didn't matter how he looked or looked at House Stark progressed by the damn child. As he was about to blow out the candlelight he was startled by Hariric Stark stepping out of the shadows. Those gray-green eyes that showed little sympathy for him. Why was the boy there? That would be an excellent question, and one that also terrified him in many ways.

''I hope I'm not disturbing you in any way, Master Wallys. I am perfectly aware that age is something that really takes its toll on anyone, so please forgive me if I seem to be intruding on your life too much``. Hariric calmly sat down in a chair. He was calm but inside let's say it easily that he was close to killing the man in front of him. The only thing keeping him alive was his usefulness. Wallys would be the key that in a few words would mean the end of the maesters in the North which would be exploited on his part to ensure that not only the North remained powerful but a threat was dealt with.

''young lord hariric. It doesn't bother you in the least, but I have to tell you, it's an incredibly tough day. There is a lot of work in this regard as a teacher. Although, however, I would like to kindly ask you to speak with his father for certain matters``. Wallys didn't know he was doing the kid there but he could honestly tell he didn't like the look he had at all. However maybe and just maybe there was one thing that could be exploited from all of this which would be to his advantage in his mind and any advantage that could be exploited by him was good news. At least that's what I expected

oh really? Well I guess I could listen to whatever you have to say however I think you should know that I have come for a compelling reason and more than anything I would like to have the matter dealt with but I am sure I can make an effort to talk to you of this very important issue. Hariric laughed. What did the old man have in mind? He possibly had some stupid or strange request in mind anyway. Honestly Hariric wouldn't normally feel much interest in dealing with the man but he was a caring person just like any normal person so he was naturally wondering what he wanted the old maester. And if it was somehow stupid I'd see him fully treated

´´My lord, in recent times young Eddard has been seen with very old history books from House Stark. Every time he's asked me about a southern house he's winced. I am afraid that Mr. Eddard might somehow harbor ill thoughts against the crown. Wallys knew that Hariric Stark cared a lot about his brother, so above all he would do anything to see him resolved. If the young man saw a threat of some kind to his brother, he would see it treated immediately, so he trusted his words to get his attention in the best way. What he didn't expect was the completely annoyed, raised eyebrow on his face as if he thought something bad.

oh really? My brother is learning about the past of House Stark. A past that he should have learned above all else. House Stark is an ancient house after all, are you saying that we should ignore the past that shaped us instead of what is the strong and powerful belief that many of the lords of the South have in how to shape the North?`` . Hariric only glanced at the old man who turned pale at that moment. There was nothing better if he had to say it than to see the maester startled by what he had to possibly know what he was saying. Hariric smirked as he watched the maester try to compose himself as best he could about it even though it was still a very small thing.

´´My lord, I think I am very serious when I say that you should be very careful with what you are talking about. Some would not be happy about it to hear it. The North and the South have many wounds and scars that are best left buried. Now the North is part of the seven kingdoms. Some lords might see your brother doing such a thing as a better choice to lead them than yourself. First rule of convincing a noble: threaten his position. It was the best way to make them move as you wanted. It was something they had taught him in the citadel. It was something very exploited in the south. It was for this reason that the south always did or ended up acting in the way that should be expected.

I see. You fear my little brother is learning from the old Stark lords. Some of them like Theon the Hungry Wolf sworn enemy of the Andals. I would honestly say that it is a complete exaggeration but at the same time I would say that it is a bit stupid to worry about something like that if you know what I mean, Master Wallys``. Hariric could practically see the plan in Wallys' mind. Clearly using a point of tension used very notably over the years by the masters, he planned to exploit the fear of being a lord in him so that in this way he would act against his brother in some way.

''My lord I am not speaking lies. I am aware that there are many lords of the North who are more than disgusted with the actions of House Stark. If they feel that there is a Stark who is clearly doing things the way they think is most necessary, I have no doubt in the least that they will surely try to support him``. Wallys was now practically growling. Why didn't the boy look nervous? He was he so sure of his position? It is true that he had brought many things but a word here and there and soon every lord of the north will move against him of that would be completely assured with his actions. However Hariric Stark was clearly very cool with the fact of the threat.

´´I am perfectly aware of the ways in which many northern lords see things. I am well aware that many northern lords resent the point that they believe the North has lowered itself. However, the fact that you say ned only brings up a point. Tell me Master Wallys… what more special reason did you have for seeing my mother dead than you thought of all things that it would be nice to make sure she died in childbirth with my brother there?``. Hariric's cold voice was so emotionless it would have frozen anyone. Wallys looked at him in Stock and even formed what seemed to be an angry look on his face.

''I don't like it in the slightest that a person in any way, no matter how lord of the North he may be, dares to even think in the slightest that he is entitled to say such a thing. And even more so when my duty is to serve the lord of the castle and his family ``. Wallys would have said more but he was cut off as agonizing pain shot through his entire body. He had never felt so much pain in his life. He didn't believe that anything or anyone felt so much pain in life for a single gesture. I look at the Stark boy with a new fear. He couldn't believe it. The boy had magic. He was capable of magic. How was he capable of such a thing? I didn't know but what I did know is that this was a bigger problem

I know you've realized what I'm capable of. I am able to handle mystical energy or as some call it magic and I am able to do many things with magic among them I am able to know that you are not only lying but that you are a bastard who was plotting to start a campaign to see me in a bad light and put Ned in my place. Not that it bothered me much. I'm a big fan of the way things were done in the old days so you better know that I'm by no means a weak southern pussy``. Hariric reapplied his pain magic. Unlike the typical magic of the Cruciatus, his attack was magic introduced into the nerve points of the body. As many were lit as he wanted and not nearly as many as the cruciatus acted.

''You are an aberration that will be dealt with in time. The other maesters will not tolerate a threat like you in any way. You will be eliminated like those who practice these mystical arts``. Wallys tried to pull himself together as best he could. His body ached in many ways. He never thought that he would feel something like this. However, he was made much worse by the completely merciless smile that the boy had. What kind of monster was this? He didn't have the remotest idea but what he did know is that he preferred not to be near him and tried to move.

oh really? A threat? How funny if I have to be honest. I guess you're foolishly thinking that your order will know about me. I guess you're thinking that somehow they found out, maybe said Valyrian candles? An amazing invention if I have to be honest. A bit of an insignificant invention compared to some things I'm capable of but still capable enough to actually detect magic``. Hariric chuckled at the idiot in front of him. Wallys was still trying to move the best he could but obviously his whole body ached from the torture of him something that was normal. However he had not used the cruciatus on him. If he hurt her so much with just a minor nervous breakdown he didn't want to imagine a total nervous breakdown like what said curse would do.

''It doesn't matter what you think kid. If I die the masters will wonder what is happening and then they will send someone asking about it. So I will continue with my plans. However, if you leave me alive, it will mean in a few words that the citadel finds out. You lose``. Wallys laughed at the boy, thinking that he had everything under control. That was until he heard a cold laugh even more than he was used to hearing in his life. Then Wally's eyes focused on the boy and his eyes glittered dangerously. Almost as if they had a fire in them. He was terrifying to see and even more to feel.

''Did you really think that I would have revealed myself as I am to you just to let you know who I am and what I am capable of just so you can go to your bosses? No Master Wallys. You see, I've been controlling your actions for a long time, aren't you really surprised that the crown hasn't taken more action against House Stark when they in a few words will see the rise of the house they most despise along with Lannister?``. Hariric laughed to himself at the Maester's look. However the man tried to say something when he felt that he was completely speechless. He was totally mindless and despite all his efforts he found himself even worse than before something he wasn't used to in the slightest the idiot.

''You're a Wallys puppet. But don't worry. You won't die yet. You have a while left to live. For what reason? Well for the simple reason that I want to see my enemies torn to pieces. The citadel, the crown, the lords of the south. The North does not forget and certainly does not forgive. Since the Andala invasion, the lords of the south have believed they have power. Then leave me the pleasure of showing the South that true power is not what is won with armies. Not with gold. Power... you are born with it. With his words, he attacked, completely destroying Wallys' mind and turning him into little more than a puppet, although he left a small piece for him to see everything that was happening about it. That was the punishment for trying to kill his mother.

-Dreadfort-

News of the birth of young Benjen Stark had reached all corners of the North. Many lords and common people looked happy. But for Lord Bolton and leader of the red alliance it was not good. He had counted on Lyarra Stark's death as well as the child's death to start launching small attacks on the Starks. The last few months had not been pleasant. From what he had been informed, the construction of Wintertown had been completed and it was so magnificent that it would be the envy of every lord in fact. White stone houses with so elaborate way with glass windows and with warm houses. That just in case was a nuisance.

As if that wasn't bad enough, word had come in that the Bear Island Shipyards had already begun construction. Great places like never seen before. Although the place would be in the hands of the Mormont house, being at this time the producer of northern ships, the wood acquired was being provided by the Forrester house under the command of the Glovers. The Glovers hadn't been happy with their vassal acting but when they tried something they just commented that it was their right to accept business after all and they didn't see why they complained if they received more tax money which was another headache.

House Stark had also begun construction on the Black Wolf Port at Sea Dragon point. It would become the branch of House Stark and as if that was bad enough was the fact that the building had been designed by Hariric Stark himself just like the Winter Fortress on what was the Stony Shore. Many of the northern lords were seeing it as the rebirth of the great Stark lords. They only needed to be told that in a few words, in addition to that, it was also building the new fleets. Fortunately, the good news is that there were still no shipyards in the East (the key word still being of course).

Lord Bolton hated him. After nearly three hundred years of intrigue, the Red House had finally amassed a powerful alliance: Glover, Ryswell, Hornwood, and themselves for that matter. Counting on Karstark's neutrality, it would be easy for him to crush the Starks. They would only need a trigger and he had found it in the hands of none other than the Master of the Starks. The blind trust the Starks had in the maesters was stupid. Believing they were obviously bound by oaths. Oaths are just words, no more, no less, and in his opinion, with them, one would be able to do whatever he wanted. They could follow them or not. He didn't care in the slightest, the only thing that mattered was power.

In any case, Hariric Stark was a serious threat and that was why the maester in question had come up with a plan: a civil war in the North. It was no secret that there were many northern lords who despised and hated being tied to the south. Among them many of the lords loyal to the Stark house such as umber and of course the Mormonts. They were one thing that could be exploited by hinting that Hariric Stark was naturally very much in favor of the south seeing that he had been educated there. It was just a matter of skillfully selling the information, at least that was the plan at first. And as the voice had reached him, the young ned seemed immersed in what the Starks of old were. Something else to really explode

Of course to do that you would have to do it right. The death of Lyarra Stark and her child would have simply caused a fight. It was well known that although Rickard Stark was a smart and ruthless man he had a lot of temper and that it was only his wife and nothing but his wife that kept him mostly in bondage. If something happened to his wife it wasn't a question of if something would happen but when and then they could exploit it. In a civil war the Boltons would take advantage and sweep everything away although at the same time he would naturally have to ensure that the Karstarks didn't try to get in the middle of all this which he knew they would try to do. They could be neutral but they wouldn't just step aside and let things be.

Of course he knew that the only way to guarantee complete dominance was not just the complete annihilation of House Stark but their assimilation. To achieve such a thing he would need neither more nor less than in what was Lyanna Stark's house with her son. It would be so fun. The bitch turned into little more than a tool. She could almost taste the feeling of joy. He knew that her ancestors would have been happy. They would have finally destroyed his enemies and that was pretty good for him... at least it was until his plans were completely blown apart more than one could say if he had to be honest about what was happening.

Lyarra Stark wasn't dead to begin with. With her alive there would be no fighting. Rickard Stark couldn't be moved to do what they wanted. In short, his plans were spoiled because this woman was still alive. She didn't know how but House Stark had cured her of the poison which meant in a nutshell that either they could know that the maester had poisoned her or possibly someone else poisoned her. It didn't matter in that sense because she had it all covered really. He sincerely doubted that there was anything or anyone who could find out that he really had anything to do with it anyway, since if they did, he would surely have the Starks on him.

Another point against him was that the Starks, especially the eldest son, had been using their resources to not only strengthen House Stark but also their allies. Umber, Dustin, and Tallhart were producing vast amounts of food that was obviously being stored for the winter and at the same time sold to every household that couldn't produce it. As if that weren't enough, the number of farms on the land had increased, which meant more meat and rich foods for the northern lords. He hated him with a passion and had tried to do something. They had all tried but each plan failed big time if he had to say so and as if that wasn't enough it enriched his enemies even more since the money came from them. Ryswell had to buy Dustin. Glover to Tallhart and themselves to the Umbers.

Adding insult to injury, the greater amount of food had meant more job opportunities, which included people to protect the new fortresses. He wasn't foolish enough to know that House Stark could now call on over forty thousand men for themselves (not forty thousand professional soldiers but armed civilians) which meant they could no longer compete with them (which Lord Bolton did not). He was aware of Hariric's plans to create a permanent military force in the north with the intention of being completely unstoppable) in terms of numbers which infuriated him even more and he did not believe it possible.

As if this wasn't bad enough there were the monetary resources of each house that grew more and more with more time given to them. Lord Bolton hated it when things were out of his control but he hated it even more when things were not only out of his control but his enemy grew stronger in the process. And it was all because of Hariric Stark. How could one person upset the game so much? I did not know it. What he did know is that he hated the brat with all his soul and there was nothing he wanted more than to kill him because his plan to destroy House Stark was obviously dead.

He was about to do something when he saw an image. In her window there was a beautiful bird. The feathers as white as snow or so-called white gold. The feathers on the tail and on the tips of the wings were black as night itself. She had beautiful green eyes and a beak colored the same touch of white. she was wonderful. Thinking that she would make a good pet she was about to move when she heard the sound of a chair. Turning, she was met with the very thing that had wrecked her plans for so long: Hariric Stark. He was there. Sitting quietly like nothing really. It was a very interesting image, especially since she didn't know how he could be there.

´´Young Stark, may I know what is happening here?``. Lord Bolton spoke very calmly but there was something strange. The boy. He was at peace. In complete and fucking peace. There was no better way to describe the matter if he had to be honest. He was in the middle of the castle of his family's worst enemy and yet he acted like it wasn't important. Such a thing was obviously pissing him off as he made him feel as if the boy belittled his power and influence. Not that he could blame said child anyway. he was about to move when the boy's cold voice came from his lips terrifying him even more if possible because it was nothing like what you would expect from a Norteño. He was as cold as ice and with the promise of death

´´Normally I am not one to do something so direct. I'm not stupid enough to believe that I can do anything and get away with it. Unlike many arrogant idiots who wait to take one last look at their enemies while savoring their pain and suffering. I am many things Lord Bolton. Idiot is not one of them so maybe the question you should ask yourself is what caused a person like me to come here to see you?``. Hariric had kindly finished reprogramming Wallys. He would use it as a means to cause further pain to the citadel in the North and then expel it, which was one thing he was planning to do, yes or yes.

''I don't know what you're talking about, young Stark, but I won't tolerate such an attitude in my domain in the slightest. Right now I don't know how you got here but I warn you that you are going to stay for a long time``. Lord Bolton was about to move when he froze. Never in his life had he felt like this. The inability to move. He could breathe and hell he was sure he could talk but move? he couldn't in the slightest. This was a completely unique situation for him in that he didn't know how to respond and Hariric Stark was giving him a bored look for his defiance of what he could say and it was pissing him off.

''It is very impolite to act in such a disagreeable manner, Lord Bolton. After all as my future vassal you should know better than to rush forward like some idiot who thinks he's going to get away with kidnapping me or something like that, did you really think that if I managed to get here somehow I wouldn't be able to get out? ? Honestly there are days that I wonder about the brain of humanity but of course you are not very intelligent``. Hariric poured himself some more of the Bolton raw wine. It was unpleasant and bad tasting in his opinion. Fortunately, the North was about to see a new type of wine coming that would make the South see it as insufficient, so it was more than happy with it.

What have you done to me? Why can't I move? You better think carefully about your actions kid. You may be on the brink of unleashing a civil war in the North if it gets out in any way that you have caused this to me. Lord Bolton tried to say more when there was a hiss. Then he noticed the snake that appeared from the ground that although it could be described as beautiful, he could honestly say that it looked more than dangerous. He was terrifying to watch and he felt a fear when he saw her approach slowly to where he was without moving. He was afraid. He was very afraid since he not only could not defend himself but there was a good chance that he would die.

''Do you really still think you have the right to ask questions? Lord Bolton, I don't know if he has noticed precisely, but hey, I'm more than annoyed. First of all you are plotting a civil war. To usurp the position of ruler of my family. To enslave my sweet little sister. Try to kill my mother. And of course making a mess so big that it would destroy the North, is it really hard to believe that I am happy at this moment?``. Hariric spoke to him as if he were a small child but of course between the fact that Hariric was much more adult and mature and at the same time it could be said that he was more terrifying than the idiot in front of him it was not difficult to imagine in reality

´´First point: the civil war. Not only were you plotting to have my vassals kill each other, but you also hoped they would turn family against family in hopes of harming them and consequently causing the North to weaken and you to take control. For that point alone you have pissed me off since I naturally have the ambition to create a powerful kingdom``. First reason was more than justified by God. He was trying to build a mighty empire and the idiot was trying hard to see it torn to pieces. It was like telling an architect in the middle of his work that he intended to screw up his designs. He was intolerable and had no patience to deal with it in the slightest.

''Second: to usurp the position of my family. Not to offend, it was my family, not yours, a piece of scum that ended up uniting the North. It was my family not yours that brought the skill of building to the north and the first men. That you are simply thinking of turning against my house annoys me and makes me want to make an example of you. A death so unpleasant and painful as to cause all your desires to seem insignificant compared to your desire to die. Just because. His family had invested thousands of years in what was the North and just because the idiot of the great idiots decided that he wanted power, he would do everything in his power to see it destroyed. He reminded her too much of populist politicians. Look there were idiots but hey that's how the world was

''The third and possibly the worst you could think of: enslave my sweet little sister. My little sister is a treasure of very high value to me. I sincerely feel that the mere fact that you even thought of doing such a thing shows how little value you had for your life. Such an action should be punished with the greatest possible brutality, which is what I intend to do, you little fucking rat``. Hariric snarled at the man. He was taking all the occlumency out of him not to start a big-time massacre. He sincerely felt that the man in question was also quite scared by what he could say but it was not enough in his mind.

''And the last mistake. Possibly the one that has cost you your life. Trying to kill my mother and unborn baby brother. I have Bolton rules and these rules have always been with the intention of preventing me from doing something incredibly bad or stupid like designing a deadly virus that kills the human population and eradicating it completely. But that does not come to the story. Right now I have a huge amount of anger against you and your entire household that doesn't seem like it's going to go away just like that. Because I wanted Fucking in his old world when the humans proved to be so fucking idiots it was almost tempting to repeat his family's actions and engineer a New Black Death sincerely.

''You wouldn't dare. You wouldn't dare kill my entire household. You don't have any proof and evidence beyond the silly things you're saying. No proof or anything and unless you kill little boy nothing will stop me from letting you know you're a freak``. Bolton yelled thinking that he finally had things under control. He didn't get any better when he naturally saw the young man tense. He expected him to get sick. What he didn't expect was pain so sharp it almost felt like his muscles were ripping. Never in his life had he felt such agonizing pain, not even when his father disciplined him with the harshest possible lessons.

´´It seems that you are so stupid that you think that you are above others in many ways, haven't you noticed yet? I'm not going to let you live but I wasn't going to kill you easily. No sir. Something fast. Something painless. He's too nice if I have to be honest. No. It had to be the cruelest thing and that's why I designed everything especially for you my dear friend. A real torment if I have to be frank``. The mere fact that the trash thought she would make it out alive was an insult to his intelligence. Did she really think she could do it? Did he really think she had the chance? Incredibly idiotic if he himself had to say something about it but everyone could agree that often the bad guys are idiots

Lord Bolton looked fearfully at the snake. His fangs were an inch from him when he saw Hariric coming up with what appeared to be a needle of some kind. He was shaking with fear when he put it on him. Then he slowly he felt his body begin to shake. He felt a sharp pain and at the same time he was paralyzed even more before. The snake looked at Hariric and hissed. He only replied that he would never let her put her beautiful fangs on a human as pathetic as him and that he deserved much more about it. A bird cry was enough to tell him that the bird was fucking okay.

''My own creation. It will make your body completely paralyzed. You will also be causing considerable nerve damage. And at the same time it will make you have a mental torture proof of each action you have committed that is classified as wrong. I hope you've never raped anyone as it won't be pretty. Good bye friend``. Hariric rose to his feet and the snake came up to his to sit on his shoulders and the bird came to him and disappeared in a puff of white fire. Bolton's last thoughts were a curse on House Stark and praying that his son would avenge him.
