Chapter 16: c16

Time goes by

-West. The North. winterfell. 279 BC-

Four years had passed since the most anticipated wedding in the entire kingdom. The truth is that a few years ago no one would have given a shit for whom she married into House Stark. But the monstrous growth of House Stark was one that the people could not forgive, let alone forget. House Stark had suddenly become the object of interest to the other kingdoms with each person and her mother being interested in what was the North and the seven kingdoms. For the North things were simple as always. For the rest of the seven kingdoms the fact was that the North had become the most notable kingdom since they began to trade with the other kingdoms.

The north continued to employ braavos to sell their wares to most of the free cities, which was to be expected. But things had radically changed in another sense of the word. Through Black Wolf Port the North began to sell their merchandise to the lands of the West, to the Lands of the domain, to Dorne and to travel to what was the far east since they no longer had the intention of crossing what were the Stepstones due to to be a powerful pirate stronghold despite the fact that two of its islands were lost to the Martells. This made Benjen Stark's future house in the western port start to grow in power and strength which was not a bad thing.

Ned soon became the lord of what many called the North Gate. The Twin Wolves had become possibly the busiest point in the North. To begin with, ships passed from West to East and from East to West, as well as caravans that came from the South to obtain merchandise from the North. The two mini-cities connected by the monstrous winter bridge were bringing Ned monstrous wealth that was fast making him one of the most anticipated men in the seven kingdoms with many houses waiting to get the young Stark to marry one of his daughters. and that was nothing compared to the rest of the houses

Hariric anticipating this had created the Constitution. The Constitution was a series of rules and laws established throughout the North with the goal of ensuring that the laws were followed. It was created mostly because there was an acceptable fear that southerners might try to use marriages in order to gain strength and influence in the North. Unfortunately for the people Hariric had anticipated it by presenting these rules and laws that were absolute. The lords of the Northern kingdoms were satisfied with the decisions of their feudal lord who showed considerable interest in keeping Northern affairs within the North, which was something that many were concerned about.

Hariric was in the Great Hall having breakfast with his family. His family. In addition to Ashara, he imagines her surprise when a single year later he discovers that she was pregnant with her twin children. A boy and a girl. The boy was named Cregan while the girl was named Belladonna. The two of them were very felies. But the moment the birth was known, they immediately received marriage proposals. The pure and unadulterated anger of the two of them at the mere fact that someone wanted to use their children had to be contained in many ways as neither parent wanted to even think about putting their children in the game before that they were ready

Also unlike the southerners, Hariric and Ashara felt that their children's marriages could be much freer. This was due to the fact that the north did not need anything from the southerners or from anyone. Alliances weren't bad ideas. But unlike many people, Hariric was aware that a marriage alliance was not as good as others might hope or even think. In fact it was more than anything about what would be a way to deliver a hostage and the very idea of doing such a thing with his precious daughter who seemed so similar to his wife despite being only three years old filled him with anger. monstrous. The mere mention of doing something like that to his girl was enough to piss him off.

Hariric honestly did not see the point and even more to marry his daughter in any southern kingdom due to the fact that in his mind the south was a hotbed of shit. The southern kingdoms lacked balance and control. Since Hariric began the different businesses with the south, this was quickly seen. The Lannisters at least knew how to maintain power and strength in their lands. But the same could not be said of the other lands since Hariric being the bastard that he was and knowing how much damage he would basically be doing to everyone in the seven kingdoms had soon built a strategy to make what was basically northern supremacy viable.

An example of this was the mallister house. The mallisters were the shield and defense of what were the Riverlands against what were the incursions of the ironborn. Hariric, deciding that it was an excellent idea, had decided to make an offer to the lord mallister to help him turn his fortress into a powerful Port city in order to open trade between them. This surprised Lord Mallister who quickly agreed. The new Port city could only hold a hundred thousand people but it had quickly seen a monstrous increase in household money for being the gateway to northern commerce. Despite the caravans coming from the north, none passed through the Rivers lands except through Harrenhall, which had meant that only two houses benefited considerably.

As if that wasn't enough for Hariric the same thing had started in Lannisport. The Western Lands saw the entry of trade through them immediately, considerably increasing the power of the Lannister house. In fact the North was in the process of negotiating a marriage contract. Even he hadn't said anything. But Hariric had met Cerenna Lannister, a cunning, intelligent woman with a cruel streak when it came to dealing with her enemies. Unfortunately for her house she was aware that it was just a tool to be used by the lord of her house so she wanted to get away from her. And as Hornwood house was increasingly determined to screw him over, Hariric knew that when the time came his friend Dareon Rogare would have a powerful seat for a powerful wife.

The real imbalance had been seen in the Dominion houses. The Dominion saw most of its wealth from two sources: food and wine. The Redwyne house was responsible for the production of wine. Meanwhile most of the houses led by Tyrell specially sold food to the other kingdoms. However, Hariric managed to land a brutal blow when he basically made Hightower house the gate to his shop. They had quickly become the power in the Dominion, being them the ones who offered to sell most of the items from the north except for those that came by caravan although of course there were still too many rewards that came from what was sea and that had quickly given a great power to the house in question

The Kingdom of Dorne hadn't really been that affected by what his actions were. Although at first they had seen a reduction in their wine sales, that quickly recovered when the North, as part of their alliance, provided them with their own techniques for the production of wine, which caused Winter Wine and Dornish Wine to become in the supremacies of wine sales (although the North continued to earn more due to all their drinks) as well as they found themselves in the position of not having to buy more food thanks to the support of the Stark house. So Dorne saw no effect though Hariric had an eye on Dorne due to the scheming Doran Martell

Along the eastern coast, their greatest reward came from the fact that the North sold their products through King's land, earning the city impressive profits since they also sold their products to the Baratheon house while in In the Vale of Arryn things were normal with Gullport beginning to become a powerful force throughout the kingdom due to the large amount of trade they were seeing taking place in their port. In a few words, things in the last four years had been more than excellent for the north.

''come on little ones you better eat all the food. It is for you to grow as strong as possible.'' Ashara was trying to convince the two three-year-olds to eat their food. Fortunately, thanks to her position, the North had an abundance of food, which meant that she always ate in large quantities compared to the past. Ashara saw her little ones refusing to eat as if it were a funny joke. It was a bit maddening if she had to say so herself. But her husband was just giving the children a look before he got up from her seat. Ashara smiled when she saw him approaching and taking advantage of the fact that no one could spy on them she watched him use her magic as if nothing had happened.

''Come on children we have to eat. Eating means growing big and strong which means that one day you will be able to do many things''. Hariric smiled at his children before cheering up the meal. The food was a plain English breakfast indeed but much needed. However, it was an excellent meal for the little ones based on the purees and also some meat. Nothing greasy. He did not want his children to take up the bad habit of fatty food. All the food that was made in the north was aimed at strengthening the different young people. Even little people could afford it thanks to the large number of farms and much more. It was one of the things that filled him with pride

''Nooo we don't want food. We want to play''. Cregan laughed as he watched as his father perked up his mashed potatoes and began to feed him. The boy's happiness was nothing like when he had time with his parents. Thanks to his magic, his mind matured rapidly and the boy began to understand better than anyone else what his father had. That's why he loved his father so much since he knew he had a lot of work. In fact, day in and day out, his father used it so that he was on his lap while he listened to people's requests. He did it since he could remember and his father always told him that he had to give people smiles. His father was the best just for that

''Cregan eating is very important. The meal that is breakfast is the most serious and important so that you have a lot of energy in the morning. Plus if you don't eat enough you'll get sick and make your family sad.'' Hariric lovingly approached his son as he slowly brought his food closer. The food was mainly to give him the energy he needed. Due to his magic, Cregan's body and belladonna would mature faster and stronger, which meant in a nutshell that he needed greater reserves of energy. It was a real nuisance but for Hariric it was not a big problem to feed his son

''Dad make the peas fly. Let the peas fly''. Belladonna, in order not to be left behind by her brother, asked her to have something happen with her food. To her surprise, she saw how the peas gave an appearance and formation and turned into little soldiers. So she laughed before charging up and starting to eat them. The girl laughed. She knew that her father was a good man who just wanted them to be happy. She felt a lot of emotion from the fact that her father did her favor and she watched with a smile as her mother gave a somewhat serious look in her father's direction. Dad in trouble was what she had on her mind

"You know love that if you keep doing them the way you're doing the only thing that's going to come out of them is that my kids will be unable to act all mature and dignified when the time comes." Ashara raised an eyebrow at her husband. However she couldn't deny that her method of enlivening the meal was good. However she loved messing with her husband more than a little and if she had to be honest the looks he gave when he got caught somehow were just too funny for her. From what she could tell, her husband was now giving her the look that he was innocent and that he had nothing wrong to do with what was happening.

''Come on Ashara you know as well as I do that when they are more or less full they get like this. At least they eat pretty well and eat their food well up there. And besides, you can't deny that seeing them eat well is one of our biggest concerns.'' Hariric knew that a good breakfast was excellent. With a good breakfast the magical energy meant that he was at work making his sons energetic for their different lessons of the day. Primary education in this world lasted until the age of eight, at which time they were sent to the Isengard school in order to create strong relationships in all the children of not only nobles but also military commanders. Hariric saw it that way. He had to make sure that his son was seriously interested in feeding himself.

"I suppose you're right in wanting our children to understand, above all else, that they should eat well, but you can't deny that our little ones are growing up more than a little spoiled by all the favoritism you're giving them, don't you think?" husband?''. Ashara couldn't help but give her husband a look with what he was trying to hide while her children laughed. The breakfasts included puree, some meat or fish, eggs and fruit and vegetables along with juice for the children and coffee for the adults. It was a good breakfast and she made sure to give them energy. But she knew that her children loved what it was like to see their father's fun.

''Dad is being punished by Mistress. Mama always carries things. As Grandma always says''. If there was one person who could seriously pamper children, it would be their grandmother Lyarra. Lyarra spent a lot of time with the two children, seeing them as her own little ones. It was the same with Rickard although of course Rickard was a little more serious about it. The two older adults of the Stark house were always very kind to the two children. Yet they also loved when their father got into trouble for them. Although their father could act tough at times, they knew that his father was like that for special reasons and that they had to learn to be like both of their parents.

''dad should do what mom says now because mom is pissed off. But…will it be papa to read us a story later?''. If there was something that Belladonna and Cregan loved more than when her father animated the food for them, it was when their father read them a story. Through his magic, Hariric made the most vivid and real tales, which they liked very much. However, when they crossed the line, her mother would put her foot on the ground and say that she had no story. They quickly learned what the line was and realized that it was a bad idea to try to cross it because of it. It was a good teaching method

''Don't worry about dad being in trouble. Dad knows how to convince her mom not to get mad at him in any way to convince her to let him go out in peace. So there's nothing to worry about little ones.'' Hariric smiled at his children. He knew that his worries were if they crossed the line. Ashara had had the bad luck (they cast lots that is known) to be the one who had to put the line. The line was essential to being able to teach his children that they had to understand that what they were doing was right or wrong in some way. They did not want them to think noble is the same as doing what they want

''No. You have not crossed the line. But you must understand little ones that your father may not always be animating the meal for you. You must eat for yourselves so that we can proudly say that you are getting bigger and bigger''. Ashara smiled at her children. Honestly, there was nothing better in her mind than knowing that her children had understood the idea of the line well. The very thought of her children being like many of the idiots from the south who thought they could get away with it broke her heart. She didn't like the idea of her children turning into jerks with a sense of entitlement. Nobility is not just something you are born with but is cultivated with every action

''but dad makes food fun. Not boring food. Plus it's always good to see dad do magic.'' Cregan couldn't help saying it. He knew that he must hide the magic. His father had told him and he believed in his father. In addition, his father said that if people knew that he used magic they would occupy him more time. That was a big no in the boy's mind. His father was theirs, neither more nor less, so he only wanted her to dedicate her time to them. If people knew his father's secret, they would be giving him trouble with everything that comes to mind. The mere thought of it filled the boy with rage at the waste of time spent with his father.

''it's true mom. Papa is amazing using his magic. Besides food like this being boring, what's wrong with food being fun to eat? Better''. Belladonna still didn't understand the bad thing about her father animating the food for them. Ashara just gave her father a look that made the girl laugh in amusement about it. It was always fun to see her mom send her looks to dad. However, her father took it very well with just her smile. It was always good to know that her dad didn't get into too much trouble. She decided that she had to learn that from her dad to be able to get away with it.

''children you have to understand that your mother's concern is in the fact that she wants you to grow up. But luckily she knows you're just little kids right now so she'll forgive your behavior. However, it is better not to take it for granted. It won't always be like this.'' Harry sighed. His children were only children. At least they had been able to get into their heads that magic was a secret because if they didn't there was too much chance that both children would tell the heavens which would not end well for them and that was something neither of them wanted. They didn't want another headache

''Yeah. Out of concern is that magic is not a toy. Wherever you see him while your father encourages things, he is getting tired with his actions and therefore that means in a few words that he is not completely strong and ends the days tired, which is what your mother does not like. . Ashara decided to use a bad example. It was the best way to teach people if she had to say so but seeing the looks of her children she knew immediately that it was not the best idea she had since her precious children were giving her a concerned look. her husband Her husband always knew how to win what was the heart of the children

''We didn't know, dad. We didn't know that this tired you in some way and that it hurt you. We didn't know you must believe us about it and that we didn't mean to hurt you.'' Cregan couldn't believe what he was hearing. Were they hurting his potato? He didn't like that. He didn't like knowing that his potato was suffering because of his actions. However, his father just smiled and hugged him tightly trying to make him feel a little closer to him. Belladonna hadn't taken it well either, which was the fact that his father was hurting himself for making them happy. that shouldn't be right

''Dad, you don't have to cheer us up with food anymore. We are able to eat by ourselves perfectly. We just wanted you to know that from now on we'll be big kids and eat by ourselves.'' Belladonna felt bad. Was her father always making an effort for it? The mere thought of her stunned her because she couldn't have imagined it in any way although it was typical of her dad if she had to say it since her dad was always going out of her way for them. Make them feel happy. Make them feel loved. Give them your time. He was always with them no matter what anyone said. That was why they loved her potato so much. She was caught in her father's embrace

''Children, you don't have to get so bad. Sure I'm not always at my best and okay I'm always making a little effort here and there but it's nothing I wouldn't be able to do for my kids. However I will not deny that being able to rest a bit would be very good for me.'' Harry saw his wife's plan and decided to go where she said. Magic is not a toy. It is a very great power. He had gone out of his way to make sure the children understood that magic was not a toy but going this way was perhaps the best idea they could have as it would make sure they understood what a bad idea it was to take it for granted.

''Your father will not be upset by the fact that you are asking for things. Story time will always be something you can count on kids. But you must also understand that your father's magic exhausts him every day. How is he supposed to have a full day if he is busy recovering from the day's exertion?'' Ashara spoke softly to her children. She didn't take pleasure in scaring them. But she knew that getting it into their heads that magic wasn't a toy was the best news she could have in mind. That and she of course knew that her husband would agree with her that it was her best plan to make sure her children never took her for granted.

''I swear dad I will never make you use magic for no reason. I can promise you that if anything happens you won't need to use magic. You no longer have to use magic to feed us." Cregan didn't know his father went to such lengths for them but he could see it. His father was always doing everything possible for them. Hell he was always trying to brighten his days with whatever. Yet he could see how exhausting magic could be. He had read some things and knew that before, people made magic by sacrificing others. But his father didn't. That meant his father had to exhaust himself. It was a terrible idea and he made him feel bad.

''Me neither dad. I won't need it anymore. I'll eat the food by myself from now on by myself. You won't have to do fun things to make me feel comfortable eating that I can promise you.'' Belladonna couldn't help but look down from her thinking that she had disappointed her father in some way. She knew that her father didn't say things to them because he loved them very much. However, what if he got very tired from doing magic? Like Cregan she had read the books of magical feats and came to the conclusion that her potato was only used for itself. So that meant in a nutshell he tired himself out. That was terrible in his mind

''You don't have to worry so much. However if you are able to eat by yourselves that will make me much happier about it. It would mean in a few words that you are now able to take care of yourself. The idea of it makes me happy.'' Harry glanced at his children before giving his wife an amused look. He wouldn't blame her for doing what she thought was necessary to raise her children. Better this method than the typical one of the Black family in which before the children were seriously punished. He didn't grow up like that but Arcthurus let him know that Walburga and her generation were idiots who took too much pleasure in torturing people of all things.

''Come on children. You have to go to class. Your dad will be here this afternoon to deal with you. Meanwhile he has to do his own homework in order to be able to spend time with you. So you better go.'' Ashara could see her sons give her a look before getting up from her lap and giving them both a hug before running off. The door opened revealing an elite soldier who immediately approached the children. It was a good thing. Neither trusted people too much knowing that their children were white. In fact one of his nuisances had been a spy who had broken in at Olena Tyrell's request. To say that his orders pissed them off was an understatement.

The two looked at each other before Ashara walked over and sat on him before giving him a good kiss. Ashara loved him. More than anything in the world. And he-she had once again given him two impressive gifts in the form of her children. If she had to be honest she only felt joy for all the life that Harry always gave her. Now once the kiss was over she just sat on top of her enjoying the feel of Harry being with her. It was the good thing she had magic when used well. She could connect two people on a very intimate level, which is what they felt at the time.

''putting a little fear into their bodies doesn't make you a bad person, Ashara. Magic is a powerful element but you have to make them understand that it is not a power that can simply be used without consequences.'' Harry knew his wife's concerns. He could practically feel what was going through her head. He couldn't blame her for feeling this way if he was blunt himself. He felt the same. His wife's fears stemmed from the fear that their children would somehow believe that magic was the answer to any prayer so it would cause them to become careless in some way which was not a good thing as it could cause her to kill them.

''Having to tell my children that their father may be putting himself in danger just to please them in any way is not the best idea I can come up with for you to know. It's complete bullshit if I have to say so.'' Ashara didn't like having to say that to her children. She understood and even understood why she had to do it. But at the same time putting fear into her body wasn't the nicest thing to do to her children, at least not in her mind anyway. Harry just hugged her and let her magic wash over him even more if possible. It was the strongest emotion she had ever felt in her entire life if she had to be honest.

''That alone makes you a great mother. Most people are incapable of realizing or at least incapable of understanding that children have to be taught from time to time with some fear. Too much fear will make them insecure. Stunting them with affection will render them useless. But you have shown that you have the brains to be able to educate them, which is more than can be said of many.'' Harry could sense his wife's doubts. The fears of him. They weren't fake. They were born from what was the fear that she did not know how her children could react to everything. Honestly Harry did not feel the same way since he believed that she was just being an exemplary mother

''and yet you come across as the amazing father who is doing his magic tricks to make them happy somehow. Forgive me if I feel like it's a little cheating on your part to let you know husband.'' Ashara couldn't help but throw the joke in his face. She of course knew that her husband did not want to take advantage of her, far from it. But it was no less than true if you stopped to think about it. He was very well suited for the fact that he used magic on everything. It was frankly one thing that even though he annoyed her couldn't be helped. However, he just placed his hand on her cheek and he had this smile of his that was clearly illegal from his point of view.

''You know you could always expose her to a little magic. The only reason you haven't is because you don't want it to look like you're capable too. In these four years, thanks to the power ring I made for you, you are already able to do more magic and you will be able to get more fit''. Harry had forged his wife a power ring so that she would be able to do magic. It turns out that she had the potential to do magic but since she wasn't like hers with all her rituals that meant in a nutshell that she was incapable of doing the same magic as hers. It was sad if you had to say it but that's just the way it was

''I guess I could do it. It would not be a good thing for our children to think that only you are special. At least I like that they read the history books. At least they seem to understand that history is to learn from it.'' Education went in many ways. They were being taught all the essential basics: economics, history, geography, politics and a little more. But the children had been very interested in the story and Harry took advantage of that to poke at them about what magic was in the past and how it was used. It seemed to have been a good idea because they realized what a mistake it was to see it as nothing

''They've at least noticed that magic in the past wasn't a toy which is excellent news if I have to say so. My biggest fear is that they will see magic as a gift that is for them to take advantage of. Reminds me too much of the idiot shit back home.'' If there was one thing he had always despised, it was how people took magic for granted. It was an incredible power capable of changing everything and should be respected, not treated as if it were just another tool at his disposal. There was a reason in fact why he hated bellatrix and the other jerks. Magic was not a toy. It was a gift. Was a present. And she had to be treated with the utmost respect possible.

''I have to agree with you on the matter that magic is not a toy in the least. That it is possibly the greatest force anyone could ever imagine and that taking it for granted is the biggest mistake of all and is something that sadly crosses far too many minds actually.'' Ashara hated her past life in it. Magic could create and it could destroy. It was a gift. But people did not respect her. At least she knew that her children were beginning to realize that magic was a gift that had to be respected above all things because of the great power it had in it. It was much better than some might have thought

''what I am afraid of is that it will go to someone's head. At least we've made sure none of our wolves let the power go to their heads. And our children are watching the magic carefully now. It's thanks to you for that which is amazing news if I have to say it.'' Harry feared the potential for harm that his children could do. Unlike in his earlier days, they now had a larger and longer lineage. Magically speaking they were much more powerful. And their children were too. They would be true forces of nature if they were not careful and feared what could happen to their children if they were corrupted.

''We'll leave that for another time. They are still young and I think they are easier to educate. Especially if it's for you. You are his hero above all Harry. But we must go quickly for the training. Today it's time to see that today you don't have to attend to anyone. Ashara chuckled in amusement at her husband's look of joy. Harry allowed three days a week people to come to make requests or present problems and he listened to them. But of the other seven days, three were dedicated in the morning to physical training with her and Shelia. The last day was for only one thing and that was to spend the day with her children. That's how dedicated he was.

Harry didn't need to be told twice before he stood up and smiled at his wife and moved. The training was important. One of the days was used to train magic. Another to train in hand-to-hand combat. And the last day to train magical combat with weapons. Today he played hand-to-hand combat day with magi so he was happy. Nothing and no one could tell that he didn't enjoy putting a bit of fear into Ashara. It was also like she turned her on even more. Although that was to be expected. She was a woman of the House of Black and if there was one thing that the women of the House of Black loved, it was power itself incarnated, something he was.

-Office of the Lord-

Hariric stretched his muscles. A good workout never came from more. The combat had been heavy. Naturally his weapon was Ice. The modified sword was his and a really powerful weapon if he had to be honest about it himself. As if that wasn't enough to say it was a good job. Ashara and Shelia had forced him to do at least some work. Say what you want but Ashara with a spear was deadly and dangerous. Added to that he used his spear to literally fire blasts or piercing shots which when combined with the spear's magics made for basically incurable attacks. While Shelia used two shamshir swords that had the ability to make a cut bleed more. she had taken seriously the slash projection ability and voila you have a terrible weapon

Hariric felt that the training was more than necessary as he knew that being good with a sword was a very important thing. Technically speaking fighting with a greatsword was almost impossible. But thanks to his rituals and sword magic it was like fighting with a normal sword which was an advantage. He, of course, had responded to his attack attempts with wide-range attacks, which was the good thing about his sword and that it was a focus capable of channeling large amounts of energy, which meant a high level of destruction.

The training had lasted an hour and a half which was very important. In a world like this, resistance is the key. Power was something. But the resistance and speed too. I had once heard of a poll that asked which is better, strength or speed? What utter idiocy. Neither one nor the other. Combine aspects of both with tolerable resistance and the one right under your nose is dead. Some would question why he was so determined to train like this but he felt it was for the best. The white walkers. The red priests. Both were threats that should be treated critically.

As she thought about it, she thought of a gentleman she had heard of. Being Gregor Clegane. The Mountain that rides. When he heard the nickname he had a hard time laughing. Big Jon was close to eight feet tall and in greater physical condition. However the man was not known. He couldn't help but wonder a little what would happen if people met Jon. They would possibly look at him with fear. Especially since Jon had a brain. He would have heard of this gentleman who was more the embodiment of violence than anything else, and southerners considered northerners savages? He had to make a real effort not to actually laugh about it as it was an incredibly funny matter for him.

The South. After the training session she had gone to shower so she could relax while reading the reports on what the southern situation was like. At the same time the two ladies who were his sounding boards were quietly showering but he could feel them coming. The situation in the south was bad in his personal opinion. The south was a powder keg about to explode of that he had no doubt. They could tell him it was a lie and they could tell it was some kind of ruse but he was able to tell when a situation was bad. And with the king's madness it was something he would sincerely prefer not to count in the slightest despite the few favors that had been done to the crown.

King Aerys the second. He was an ambitious king. His first plan was to tear down the wall and place it on the edge of the ever-winter lands and then launch a conquest of the Other North. Hariric grimaced. Such an idea did not promise to end well. Not to mention that it would require a full campaign was the fact that the magic to build the wall was something they didn't count on. And it was magic. The wall was made with enchantment magic if he had to say so himself. A true marvel. And it was meant to prevent anything from crossing it. Knowing that the walkers were very much alive, it didn't take him long to know that it was because of them and nothing else that the defense was there.

The good news is that with his family puppets he had been able to track down the giants with their mammoths. He intended to make them come. In addition to being a large group, Hariric knew that they were a peaceful group that could use a new beginning. He was also going to start using magic to bring all the animals from the north of the wall to the south, was that bad? No. While he was condemning the people of the north further, it's not like he had any real sympathy for them. He did not feel compassionate at all seeing the consequences of these same people who could be so uncontrollable and erratic if you were not very careful.

From what Hariric could tell these people lived without law. Disorderly. No rules. If they came south even if he offered them the chance it would mean pissing off his bannermen. They didn't have the best relationship with them if he had to be honest. On top of that they wouldn't respect him. They would think he was beneath them and frankly hariric would kill all of them if they dared to think they could rob and kidnap girls for their own purposes. The moment they did such a thing he would kill everyone. So no. He wasn't giving them a measly chance. If they survived well. But bad for them. He was more interested in keeping his people safe and not dealing with those who seemed to think they were above others just because of certain beliefs.

As he thought about it, Hariric also knew that he was morally wrong. He was condemning thousands of people to die. He was cruel. And it was brutal. But frankly the only option he could see to save them was to take them to a place where they wouldn't fuck up his day which was hard to see happen. Some might argue that he was exaggerating in some way and even he could say that some would say that it was an exaggeration on his part. But for Hariric his people were the most important thing above all. And seeing that he already had a way to get rid of the inferius that the walkers could summon he wasn't really that afraid of them.

His thoughts returned to calm when his wife. Curiously, the two of them had gotten along wonderfully well. Shelia had seen a friend in Ashara which surprised him. But after all Ashara was a woman who respected abilities and Shelia's gift as an information broker was possibly one without equal. He sincerely felt sorry for the idiots who thought they could compete with her in said field if he had to be honest. Of course lately the one called Varys had been trying to play with them something that hadn't ended well. Shelia was very good and she knew how to play the game very well after all. And that had led to the friendship of the two

She also knew that it had to do with the fact that in a land like the North, both Shelia and Ashara were not well regarded. Not by anyone with enough courage. But there were still small complaints from certain families. In fact he had insulted them that he had married Ashara. They didn't have the courage to say it to their faces but they thought very well hiding it. The two women took it well and joined forces. But his patience was reaching the limit because if there was one thing he was more than clear about, it's that no one fucked with his wife and got away with it in any way. Especially by gentlemen who could be less intelligent than a stone

Seeing the two of them together was good and he took out the four letters that he was interested in chatting with them. The two women were obviously the same as him looking at him but at least they proved to be patient. In the North this would feel stupid but Hariric didn't really feel the same way. The North either liked him or the lords of him or he did not have too much that the South was interested in. Luckily he had taken measures to protect the kingdom because otherwise he saw it ruined. The excessive interest on the part of many northern lords not to get involved in power games had only done harm. They were not prepared to deal with the lords of the south. Good thing the next generation won't be like that

''Harry, what the hell is going on? Normally you don't need anyone's help to deal with anything but now you have the two of us here. Shelia is your head of the espionage division and on the other hand there is me who is not only your wife but a practically raised in Dorne. What the hell has you scared?''. Ashara knew her husband. No. She wasn't afraid. No. He was furious. He winced in sympathy for the poor victims who had pissed him off somehow. But he had no sympathy for them. Angering Harry was the same as having the attention of an apex predator on you. It was not good at all and Harry was not happy at all against threats that were in his vicinity.

''It's actually nothing bad. Two matters that I would like to discuss to know the opinions of both of you and finally a matter that I want to know what exactly you two think.'' Harry could see where Ashara's thought was coming from. She was sincerely worried. With a gesture he moved the folders with the primary information in them. The two women began to read. It took them a full five minutes to read everything in that folder alone. The look that the two women had was a look that could basically be translated as a look that, like him, was trying to understand the information as much as possible. But Shelia was the first to decide that she is the one who had to give the answer.

''according to this my lord it seems that Hoster Tully wants to go further and compromise both of his daughters. Catlyn Tully with lord ned. While Lyssa Tully with lord benjen. He is being very ambitious actually. It's not good news if I have to say it my lord.'' Shelia hadn't paid the report in question. She only paid attention to threats. Curiously, Tully's marriage contracts didn't even come close to what is the most serious threat in question. They were only one small step below it. She feared more for the Lannister and Tyrell contracts that were in her mind more serious threats to what was the North in its most serious sense.

''Hoster Tully hopes he can get marriages for my two brothers. Both of them married with their daughters. That in itself has me very upset because I don't need to be a fucking genius to know more or less what the trout is up to.'' The fact that Hoster Tully thought he could get away with demanding two marriage contracts from her. He was an idiot. Benjen was already about to be engaged to Dacy Mormont as the two of them had clicked and if Harry had to be honest he would be good. He didn't trust Jorah Mormont one bit. The guy didn't have that much intelligence and he seemed easy to blind with promises or anything. It was kind of sad. Jeor had been a great man

''The idea behind these contracts is more than justified. He wants to completely bind the north to his blood. I don't need to be a genius to know that he expects to surround you with people who he believes will be more loyal to the Rivers than they will be to the North.'' Ashara made a face. She knew that Harry due to his nemesis bond was begging for retribution. The river lands had taken great advantage of the Stark house and if there was one thing she knew, it was that her husband felt the demand for recrimination stronger every day. Just for some reason he was being able to hold back but that didn't promise to be permanent. She knew her husband well enough to know the truth

''Hoster Tully planned to get the three most critical positions in the North under his control. With Ned being married to Catlyn he will control what is the passage through the canal. With Benjen marrying lyssa he hopes to control the western gate. And if something happened to me, it would be Ned who would take over the north. The man is basically planning to take over the North.'' Harry had to make real efforts to stop the Nemesis association from yelling at him for killing. A little known fact is that Black's magic and his nemesis association is what could drive them crazy somehow. It was simply because of the demand for retribution that some Blacks were trying to contain by any means possible. he was not pretty

''My lord with all due respect the mere audacity of Hoster Tully cannot be so. It's not that Hoster isn't ambitious. He is a man with clear intentions and who is not afraid to make demands or demands. But my lord this has all the hand of Jon Arryn from the power of him. Shelia had studied all the players in the game. Hoster was ambitious and tyrannical. But although he was, he also had a lot of pride. No. This had all the appearance of being the hand of none other than Jon Arryn himself who was possibly for some reason planning something against them. Planning to get control of the North into his hands by some means. Shelia had seen enough of that man's way of working.

''the plan is that he believes that with the two women in the house they will order the education of future descendants. They don't know about the constitution and laws which means they don't know about the new and different things that are out there for the Northern command. But as can be seen, this is to control the growth of the North as well.'' Seventy percent of the trade was carried out through the two northern ports with the remaining thirty percent being done by land caravans. If they controlled the moat and they controlled what was Black Wolf Port, the South would control at least sixty-five percent of what was North trade.

''It is a good plan. North trade is strong and if somehow the south can get a hold of it it will be fine. Not to mention that this is possibly being done to prevent the Mallister house from continuing to expand its power. Mallister house has gained considerable wealth since we have been in business affairs with them.'' Ashara knew the data. The Tullys may be the rulers. But the mallister house was seeing a very large income in what are the fortunes just by selling all the Norteño products to the other houses. Soon Mallister house would have no competition in the matter of wealth, what she could tell was possibly another reason for doing this.

''He hopes to renegotiate a trade contract through the marriages of his two daughters that will give House Tlly greater power by nullifying the growth of House Mallister...I'm honestly only willing to tolerate Ned's marriage. The other girl can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.'' Harry had read the reports from the two girls. Catlyn was too devoted to the seven which is already going to be a big problem with the Note. But the other one was crazy. She was a woman who was clearly unhinged that would be a big problem to deal with. Not to mention the rumors that she was infatuated with a man named Petyr Baelish. Which promised a shit wedding and much more

''I would strongly advise against associating with lady lyssa my lord. My spies report that in addition to being crazy the woman in question also has an unhealthy obsession with making a fool of her sister as well as another obsession with a man. I fear that it could bring within the North a weak point that, to be honest, I would prefer not to see.'' The Northern operation was a well-oiled machine for a reason. The North functioned very well not only because of what was a total control of its structure but also because of the lack of weaknesses. From what she had heard, Lyssa was obsessed with a very ambitious man named Petyr Baelish who only god knows the damage he could do to the North.

''You don't need to tell me twice. I have heard of this girl. She not only lacks intelligence but she is jealous. The North cannot afford weak spots. Not with how things are these days. It's enough that I'm considering allowing ned's marriage to the girl who is too devoted to the faith.'' Harry didn't have a problem with people being religious as long as he didn't come to screw things up. Faith, for example, had tried to order him how he should do his things. The fact that a septon told him how to do his job infuriated him and he made it clear that no member of the faith was ever allowed in the north again as an absolute order to be followed.

''I don't feel very comfortable with the Harry girl. She's…a little too devoted to the faith of the seven. There is too much chance actually that she tried to skew things to a firm belief in the faith which would weaken ned's position in the North.'' There was a good reason why the faith of the seven had no power in the north. Just an idiot of all things trying to cram in a faith that for thousands of years had not only been repelled. But the North despised as something more than an offense. The very idea that anyone thought such a faith had a future in the north was laughable. And this girl could hurt Ned with her intent.

''it is an option. But while I was looking for matches for ned I discovered that the candidates I had in mind have gotten married…in a hurry. A powerful player was intent on making the only viable candidate catlyn Tully. Fortunately they couldn't do the same with Benjen.'' She had had plans for two women. One was from the Stermont house. The other was from Vearyon House. But both young women had married which meant that her brother Ned was stuck in a very bad situation. And although there was the possibility of marrying him to a Northern girl, he did not see any with a potential match for him because they had a bad opinion of having been raised in the south.

''The chances of that happening just like that is impossible. Jon Arryn has been watching our own movements. He possibly has been looking at who you might be interested in and has looked for a way to get them away from you. I guess it's a win for him unfortunately.'' And it was a painful victory. Shelia blamed herself for being unable to see it coming either way. It was a painful matter for her and what is worse it meant that her network somehow her or at least the weakest part of her was exposed which was very bad news. Her undercover agents would be fine but superficial collection was now a problem.

''Do not worry so much. Better to find out now than later. Knowing right now that the basic information gathering network is compromised in some way means that we know that there is a weak point that must be covered by all possible means. You have to take advantage of it. It was a great move by Arryn though if I have to say so.'' It was a move that had certainly hurt them. But at least this nevertheless offered him another window. His wife quickly realized this. She was just as cunning and smart as he was after all and basically figuring out what was going through her head wasn't a difficult task to do anyway.

''You plan to use this to have a stronger entry point into the land of the rivers. Your blood still cries out for revenge and you are thinking of using this as an opportunity to put them under the control of a powerful house like ours. I can't say it's a bad plan actually.'' Ashara nodded. Such thinking was typical of her husband. A thought of taking advantage of a handicap. Turning weaknesses into advantages would always be something he would work with and if she had to be blunt it was a more than decent idea on her part. She offered them the perfect opportunity to also be able to tell the hell out of a house that was her enemy: the Tullys. An excellent way of thinking of her husband

''indeed. The advantage we get from here is that the Stark caa will be able to be used in case of any circumstance that leads Tully house astray. She only has three children. Two girls and a boy. If something happens to the boy, House Stak could actually take control of the riverlands.'' It was a well thought out plan in her mind. He could also feel his nemisis blood calm down because of this. Get what was from those who had offended them. This made her feel satisfied for the moment. If she in the process was able to do even more damage to the Tully house like erasing it from the history books her nemesis blood would make her feel even better.

''That would be a good move my lord but I would still have to deal with the important matter of the Lannisters and the Arryns as neither house would look favorably upon an aggressive expansion on their part against the house of the rivers. That's not to mention the displeasure of the houses on the rivers''. Shelia decided to report the basic matter. River houses would not take a foreigner well. They would have to build a previous presence block and on top of that they would have to eliminate the mas against them. For not counting on Twin Lannister and any threat and the ambitions of the Arryns for what is their so-called control

''I was already perfectly aware of both threats. The Lannister house will not see with good eyes that the Stark house makes an advance. They will have two ways to block it. The first is to suggest a marriage for the future Stark child there with them. The other way would be by sowing discord between the different lords of the rivers''. If there was an unstable kingdom in the seven kingdoms, those were the rivers. Any other kingdom had and always would have its ambitious black parts, the rivers though? The only reason there wasn't a civil war itself was because of House Targaryen's support for House Tully by all means. They only by that grace were saved from the shit of life

''Then we can agree that we have to act. With time. With patience. Right now we have a bit of touch with the mallister house. I suggest expanding slowly until the heavyweights of the Riverlands realize that we are better allies than any other so that when the time comes there is just a little cleanup to be done." Some would find her attitude strange but Ashara was as much a Black as Harry himself so of course she saw perfectly well what it was like to deal the shit out of the problem. If you have problems settling accounts and loyalty, do you make a clean slate, brutal? Yeah. But betrayal would always be on your back for it

''I agree with that. Shelia, I would like you to start taking stock of the river lands. each house. Every lord. I want to know what they think. What are your wishes. What are your weak points. If they have something I want to know. If we're going to do this it has to be done precisely.'' Not to mention that if they were going to hit the south especially of the riverlands when they were done with them they must be a united front. If they were going to be another part of the Stark domain, Harry knew that he would have no tolerance for weak points and for people who just cause problems without further ado, that was very clear to him. The Tullys can tolerate that bullshit. But he of course not

''It will take a while. And I'm not able to include what it is basically that every house in the south vassal could do. However the southerners are and always will be ambitious my lord. They might think or even somehow believe that they are within their rights to make demands on you in the future. You have to find out a lot in depth.'' Shelia lamented over what she reasoned was a weak point in the plan. But Harry just nodded. He just took it as it came that he said a lot more than most would say. Most would just demand that it be done, period. Harry was a perfectionist. He liked the piece to fit in his place as he liked to say it

''Take as long as you need, Shelia. We have time and we must move as efficiently as possible. If it takes n year it will take one year. But I'm not going to tolerate erroneous reports being made because of our haste. Now that we have discussed the river land issue I would like to move on to a very different issue.'' With that I pass the next two folders. Both women saw what were the reports he himself had summarized from the intelligence division. Worrying reports about two powerful houses that could be considered a problem if not dealt with as soon as possible. I knew from the looks the two women were giving that they were paying close attention themselves.

''there is a problem. Dominion and the West. The families of both kingdoms are planning to put not only undercover agents in the different businesses. They are also planning to steal secrets from the North. Just as they have planned future weddings for the sons of the northern lords which includes you." Ashara had to make a tremendous effort not to start cursing everything. The very thought of them trying to use his daughter as a hostage in some way. She would rain fire before that happened. She genuinely shuddered in fear at the sight of her husband. His eyes were cold to hers. Supplied with life pure fury. The Dominion. The Western Lands. Now they were enemies to be reckoned with for her sheer audacity in reality.

''The Lands of the West or rather the Lands of the Lannister lords. Tywin has delivered what is castamere to his brother Tygett and after having managed to empty it they are once again mining gold. Tywin has put his brother Gerion in command of the Lannister fleet and is looking for a solid commitment in the western lands. That man is securing his land for one thing only: children. Harry looked with disgust at what was before him. Reports spoke of Tywin sabotaging bannermen and much more. He was planning to marry his gerion brother to the lady of some house to put his lands under Lannister control. The reason for all this? Multiple although the most important thing was to generate the maximum number of Lannister children to make a movement against the North

''My lord, just because of this means that he aspires for his family to expand and grow to be possible, at least by his hand, of course, to be able to make marriage contracts with the aim of marrying them to the North or rather lords of the North and in this way to control the North through its blood.'' Shelia looked disgusted. Harry loved family. He considered them valuable that is true and even an extension of his power. But at the same time Harry believed or at least thought of making them flourish so that they would grow strong. Tywin however was only seeing his family as a benefit that he could use to expand his power to others.

''That's what I'm seeing too. Tywin has planned a movement that aims to turn future men and women of his house into a very extension of himself to later use them as a commodity to rule other kingdoms centering at this point in the North. He wasn't surprised that Cerenna wanted out. He noted that she would be little more than a slave to her head of house. She that she was cunning and smart. He wasn't surprised that Dareon liked her of all things. She was a good match for him. This made ending treacherous families a priority at the highest level if he had to say so himself.

''but why exactly? Here it puts it. The Lannister mines are reaching a limit. And they are not the only ones. Almost all the valuable metal mines in the western lands are reaching a critical amount with only the iron mines being in a decent amount. They have been living such a comfortable life for so long that the Lannisters are now at their limit. Ashara felt a touch of revenge upon seeing this. It was no secret to her that she hated House Lannister. She hadn't hidden it. Her opinion of the Lannisters was a cold family with a lot of ego. So from her point of view, anything that screwed up the house of lions was perfectly fine in her mind.

''House Lannister is entering a very bad time from what can be told. Hence your wishes. Make the resources and businesses of the North their own. They are basically planning to annex the North to the lands of the West. The mere boldness of such an idea is enough to fill me with anger.'' The mere daring and courage of the houses of the West. No. From the Lannister house. They were the ones behind this fucking shit which was annoying in her mind. She didn't feel anything good coming from him when it came to focusing on his enemies. He only felt anger at the thoughts of him. Because of his beliefs. And so he was angry at that point. Just thinking they could get away with it is the dumbest thing he's ever thought of in his life.

''My lord I will focus our men to spread the word. If it is known that the Lannisters and their lands are reaching a limit, it will mean in a few words that the other houses will stop fearing them. They will stop being afraid of his power and strength. That alone will be a positive advantage for all of us my lord." Shelia was already dying to do this. Set her enemies on fire because they were losing their gold. Gold and silver were the power of the western lands. If the gold and silver vanished then that would mean in a nutshell that they would lose power in their domains.

''No. Such a move would make it difficult for more future things that could be brilliant. For now we'll let them continue to grow his arrogance. The way of thinking of her and much more. The Western Lands may think they can just get away but eventually we all have a debt to pay and I will personally make sure they pay theirs in blood.'' Harry already had plans. Why not do the same to them? They were so amusingly planning to annex the northern lands, why not do the same to them? Why not prepare to turn the lands of the west into an extension of the power and strength of the houses of the north? It would take time but it's something they really had on their side

''You're planning to turn the tables on them. Since they had planned to move against you, you intend to do the same. If word gets out that they are losing their wealth you might not make such a move. Then you will use alchemical magic to rebuild your mines and all making them flourishing for the future houses that will be formed in the West. Pretty smart''. Ashara couldn't help but laugh in amusement at it. It was such a good plan. And what is better. They had the means. Because of her trust in the maesters, the education of the southern lords left much to be desired, with the academy in place? It would mean in a nutshell that more of her future lords would be ready for leadership.

''We must exploit the wealth and resources that come to us when they are within reach. I was going to leave them alone. Just be themselves. Yet they idiotically thought they could just make a move against the North. Maybe this will teach some good manners.'' Harry felt no mercy for this, why should he? They were his enemies. They themselves were planning his downfall. He just wanted good business. But these people did not respect the term of good business. He only thought about what could benefit them in the short term. He shuddered at what a war against them could mean. Possibly the rules of engagement were nothing to them and it was always best to look at them with the eyes of a hawk

''My Sir. That does not however remove a concern that I have in my mind regarding the western lands. My concern grows in the sense that I don't know exactly how we should act with his orders. If we let them grow, maybe more houses will join the crazy plan of the Lannisters''. The problem that she saw in the West is that everyone believed they were above others. The past six thousand years they had lived on top thanks to their wealth. He wouldn't be surprised if they saw the wealth of another kingdom as something they should put a hand on and although now they only had to deal with the Lannisters in the future they could be dealing with more houses that could be just as annoying or even more annoying.

''That's not really a concern. It will happen. Yes or yes. They will see the loss of money. When they see the intentions of the Lannisters they will quickly jump into the same boat as them thinking that in this way they will be able to save themselves in some way… which will mean that in a few words there will be a more than justified reason for our future decisions''. Harry knew that every decision he made always had to be backed by a hundred different reasons, otherwise someone would just look for a reason to complain about it. So naturally he wanted when the time came to make his move in the west everyone would say it was for a real reason and not just to extend the power of House Stark.

''That only leaves the option whether or not to deal when the time comes with the houses of the Earth of the West. It wouldn't be a bad thing. It is very possible that we will see an explosion of the Northern population now that we have many more resources, not only for food but also for medicine.'' She smiled at her husband. One thing that all of the fortress cities being created in the North actually had was hospitals. Sanity was a matter of importance to Lord Stark and Ashara felt that she couldn't love her husband more if it weren't for that one fact. The point of him truly dedicating himself to his people was only a good thing in his mind.

''The growing population of the North would simply mean that the North needed to expand. We are going to expand safely to the lands of the rivers, there is no doubt about that, but it never hurts to think about the future. Also, if they think they are the only ones capable of playing the game of let's fuck a kingdom, I think they better understand how wrong they were.'' Some would say that was brutal of him. By or to say ruthless. But Harry didn't feel the same way. These people were just talking about turning their kingdom into their own domain. Well if they were willing to play the fucking game he was willing to fuck them somehow.

''My lord that only leaves us with the last point. The house tyrell and its allies that basically are possibly in the same interest as the houses of the Western Lands only with a little more desire''. Shelia looked at the second folder. It basically mentioned the intentions of an Olenna Tyrell to do everything possible to strengthen ties with the North in the same way that the most powerful families of the Dominion Lands were conquered in the past through marriage contracts. The woman was intelligent, she would not deny her that, but at the same time she had a strong ego in that her plans could not be screwed in any way.

''I hadn't forgotten about our esteemed fucking flower. He was actually thinking of her the whole time. I'm not so naive as to think we'll get rid of her even though that would be my biggest dream. However, we have a valid excuse to actually look at all marriage contracts with a magnifying glass.'' Harry smiled. If there was one good thing about the way things were up north, it's how jerkish people could be about it and how spiteful. Say what you want about the Manderly family. In addition to further distancing themselves from the faith of the seven, the Manderlys had a grudge the size of mountains against the Dominion lands. They were not one to forgive the shit that happened to them

''The Manderly family is one of the most powerful allies of House Stark. Any marriage bond would be viewed with extreme prejudice for the mere fact of offending them. Even though from the attitude I've heard from the man who is called Mace Tyrell the idiot doesn't know that there is a balance when it comes to commanding his bannermen. Ashara's opinion of the flower lord was that he was possibly one if not the greatest idiot ever known. The guy didn't have the faintest idea what politics meant. He was also retarded and had a knack for annoying people by not holding his tongue. It was very funny from Ashara's point of view.

''Mace Tyrell is an idiot we can't deny it but it's his mother that should really worry us. That woman is smart. When she came here for the wedding it was to get an idea of ME. She passed it off as Tyrell house demands but in reality she was studying me and trying to understand me as best as possible. However, the most dangerous thing is that I think she may have gotten a basic idea of me. Say what you want about Olenna Tyrell but she was sneaky. Intelligent. And ruthless. If it weren't for her because of her plan, if it's possible to see all of hers dead, her children, her man, could she have considered her a potential ally now? He was clear as shit that the first time he was going to put the fear of God in his body

''My lord here reports that this woman intends to usurp the northern government by marrying off her daughter to some family member either directly from her or from the cadet branches and eliminating some of her family members... I don't think I'm a very smart woman to think that.'' One thing that had to be clear is that anyone playing the game had to be open to considering that his ideas could somehow blow up in their face. Shelia made a face. If Olenna tried to kill her lord's children, her lord would only respond by killing the entire Tyrell line without mercy. He didn't believe in skimping on expenses.

''Yeah. I am very aware of it. She got an idea more or less of me. But she thinks and believes that she is actually in control. I honestly see it as very possible that in recent times her plans have become more desperate due to the one and only point of how much our business is affecting the wealth of the domain. Despite continuing to sell food and the entire Domain had seen a reduction in income due to wine as not only northern wine was superior but all other alcoholic beverage products. So the woman was possibly daydreaming about getting her hands on her business.

''Then that woman is possibly planning to somehow get her hands on members of our family. Also any marriage contract that was established would be just one more attempt to try to make the girls who get married in his house hostage against us. Tell me for the most sacred thing in your life beloved husband that you are plotting something to screw that fucking bitch''. The anger could not be hidden in Ashara's voice. The mere thought of her future sons and daughters being targeted by such a big bitch infuriated in many ways. She was very tempted of herself to put an end to it in the most brutal way possible. But she knew her husband well enough actually

''For starters, we have a way of avoiding compromise contracts by claiming that we don't want to offend an important ally of House Stark in the form of House Manderly. And although Mr. Fat Flower may think that he can get away with the shit out of him, I don't believe the same and at the end of the day I am the one who must be convinced. The Dominion did not have any valuable resources. It was just incredibly fertile land. However, what more could they give? What could a marriage alliance offer? In short, they didn't have shit to offer House Stark. Though if for some reason that blew up in the face of one of his bannermen he was going to get really pissed off. He would not tolerate weakness in the North

"That however does not eliminate the two troublesome groups that are based in my lord's domain. By that I mean the faith of the seven and of course the teachers. Both groups can be incredibly annoying if I have to say so my lord." Shelia proceeded to point out the two most annoying groups in the other realms. The teachers had a monopoly of what was the information and the power of direction. On the other hand were the lords of the faith who until now had left the North alone but with their new wealth they wanted to extend to them. Of course they were just small pests but they would still be annoying enough pests from his point of view.

''I'm no stranger to it. The faith of the seven. For years they had left us to our ball. But now that we are flourishing as a kingdom they want to expand their influence to get some of the wealth that is in the North. Something that I have not the slightest intention of allowing. Harry didn't have a problem with people having faith in gods or shit. He had faith in Gaia and Uranus after all. But at the same time he was clear that he would not tolerate a group that tried to exploit his people in any way or try to manipulate his thoughts and move them in the direction of a fucking sheep. So no. The faith of the seven was going to go to shit as far as he was concerned

''Faith is actually going to be possibly a more serious problem than you think, Harry. I don't want to say that you don't know what you are doing but we are talking about a group that is capable of moving people. People are too superstitious.'' absolute law. Faith was a powerful thing, well Ashara knew. People could do shit for faith and hell they could do anything for future reward. That was one of the most dangerous things about faith really. However, she also knew that the power of the faith of the seven was limited due to the laws of the seven kingdoms. Even though they could be a nuisance

''I am perfectly aware that the faith of the seven will be a problem at least in the southern kingdoms. They might try to force what is business because we don't follow the faith in some way. However, the laws of the seven kingdoms limit them. Otherwise we will fight fire with fire." As a rule Harry never meddled in matters of faith. He considered it incredibly idiotic not to mention dangerous to meddle in things involving religious faith. But if a faith is a nuisance you should make it look like something useless that was only doing more harm than good. And unfortunately for the septons he knew of many ways to make them look bad.

''You want to use the high positions of some of the septons to be able to make any demands or demands they make look worthless. It is a clever way to act my lord. But at the same time, my lord, I must be the one to say that those more extremist septons will only take advantage of it to try to gain a position of power in what is the world.'' In the same way that there were septons who were very corrupt, there were also those who were certainly extremely devout, something that Shelia was quick to point out immediately so that her master knows that if they eliminate one problem, it is very possible that another will appear in the future. reality

''I'm no stranger to it. In fact I know that there is a group of septons that is working in the shadows. Thanks to the information you gathered I was able to study and understand that there is a movement within the faith that seeks to put the faith on the right track once again as they themselves say." After the events of Blooming the North, Harry specially requested one of the observation teams to focus on the septons. He knew that the corrupt would seek his money. But after the religious groups of his past, Harry knew that there was always the possibility that a group would somehow try to make more aggressive moves and that was how he found out about a secret group called the Sparrows.

''great a group of religious extremists who think it's by divine right or some bullshit that they're here to put things in order. Frankly the very thought of having to deal with them is a big enough problem if I have to say. How come the rest of the faith hasn't even noticed this little problem in their own backyard?'' Ashara had to wonder how it was possible that this group had gone unnoticed by what was the faith of all things. One would think that they would be obsessed with controlling their power and making sure by all means that a group that could be a threat to them does not appear in any way. Well what happened with almost any organization

''Number one point this group is focused on serving the poor as they call it but in reality they are more than aware that winning the favor of the masses will lead them on the best path making it possible even to force the lords. Point number two this group only hides making itself look like a group of devout septons while preventing it from being known that they are actually moving people to believe that neither lords nor anyone else has more power over them and that they only answer to the gods. And point number three, do you realize that the same ones who want to maintain power are a group of ignorant fans, right?'' Harry just raised an eyebrow as he looked at his wife, amused that she didn't seem to realize what a minor flaw it was dealing with her so-called followers of the faith. It was simple.

''My lord, I only have one question. How have you ensured that none of the extremists from the village enter the North? With the migratory movements designed to increase the northern population, one would expect them to get involved on their own.'' Shelia now had to admit that she was curious. Though then she saw one more note. She read it and hit her head on the table. Ashara saw the same note and it took her a moment before she laughed in amusement at what was such a simple plan courtesy of her husband. It was just an easy thing to do

''First, everyone here is free. They can believe what they want as long as they don't screw the next door. Second, no demands are made. No demands are made and no payment is expected. The old faith has a lot of power and it spreads too. And extremists are like a sore thumb. They stand out. And they are treated with extreme prejudice.'' Harry had always hated extremists. Purity extremists. Extremists for free movement. Extremists for whatever religion it is. An extremist was a pain in the ass that wouldn't let you live life. So he had one thing clear and that is that once one appeared he was treated and unlike in the old world he was clear about preventing them from forming communities in his nation

''You'll basically cut them off from the rest of your group. You make them look like annoying idiots. And when you employed your policy of not tolerating faiths that are unable to live together, you sent the image that the faith of the seven had no intention of dealing with people equally and that they were just sheep to them. Just amazing.'' Ashara should have known. Her husband was an intelligent man. She knew the trouble people with extreme beliefs could make. So I deal with them in the most serious way possible. She couldn't deny if she was honest that it was a smart and effective method of cleaning up the trash.

''I'm just a man who knows that he's not going to put up with someone with different beliefs telling people how to act. I know that in the future the extremist movement will gain enough power to make its move. But if we are able to prepare ourselves it will be possible to minimize the impact they will make in any case.'' The good thing about religion is that it always had weak points. In the case of the faith of the seven, its weak point was the demands. Not everyone likes demands. Show them a path that they think would be better in some way and more importantly that doesn't do too much damage to their beliefs and they will surely follow it. I could still see the pain in her ass but it could be easier to bear.

''Does that mean that I have to start spreading a net to make the faith of the seven look like a movement that only seeks its own benefit my lord? In Arryn Vale such a thought would at once be considered heresy and the same in the Reach and for that matter in the riverlands as well." A move like that as Shelia could say would piss off. There were lords who had pacts with the faith of the seven, which meant in a few words that they were allies to help control the population. Others were simply very devoted to the faith of the seven. Honestly, he could only see difficulties, however, his lord just smiled.

''Nope. You won't do that. Instead I want you to find some people. People who treasure peace and who, above all else, just want to do good. I want groups to form to help people. Food production. Health aid. Protection against bandits. That kind of things. And above all do not make them look like a religion. Just making them look like a group that came together to do the right thing, not the easy thing.'' The fact that said group would have the support of House Stark would not be mentioned. They would be made to look like true champions. Without demanding. Without requesting. Just offer. He could already see the pain in faith as he watched one of his main forms get hit.

''And that leaves us with the infestation of rats. The so-called wise men. Let me guess they have not taken well to the founding of the City of Isengard, which is the main producer of the members of each guild in the North. As well as the one that is producing the new medicines. As well as the future education of the future lords of the North. They're not happy with it are they?'' An order of guardians of knowledge that for more than a thousand years have had a monopoly and suddenly a shitty competitor appeared against them? Of course they would not be happy. Especially if said competitor was leaving them in the proverbial shit like every faction in the North was doing.

''is as you say my lovely wife. Fortunately here we do not have to do anything. We just have to let it be. If someone doesn't like it, it's not my problem. There is no law that requires that maesters have to be accepted in every castle.'' Frankly in Harry's mind the very thought of dealing with the maesters was a nuisance. Most were idiots who liked to gloat about having their chains. But they did not innovate. They did not seek to expand their knowledge. That and they had a certain love of absolute control over every shit that happens in people's lives which meant that when they wanted something to happen it would happen without a doubt. That's how bad these bastards could be. But they had no power here

''as well as possibly avoiding a safe spy group in the North, no my lord? After all, most of the maesters are members of houses in the south who represent the different houses and who seek to help their families in one way or another. Removing them from the equation is the best thing to do isn't it my lord?'' Shelia laughed in amusement. The spy network and the maesters was one if not possibly the largest of the seven kingdoms without counting hers made up of her agents as well as the division of this man named Varys. No. The maesters were spies and they were not trustworthy. The fact that they had a monstrous amount of influence was not a good thing… until this very moment.

''what can I say. Honestly I didn't have the best impression of them when I went to see them. Their believes. Their points of view. The way they treat people. They think they are special and what is worse they store the knowledge like a fucking bear that is about to hibernate or any other animal. No. I prefer to see them outside my kingdom if possible thank you very much''. Harry was clear about it. Why allow a part that is more of a tumor than a benefit to thrive in the North? It is an idea that lacks intelligence if he himself had to say it. He preferred things to stay quiet if he had to be honest and also if he had to be frank eliminating a headache meant being less worried about leaks.

''So in addition to being a nuisance who seems to think they can control knowledge, you wanted them out because they're spies. OK. But the order is screaming in the sky because we are making a fool of them. I suppose I can understand why the order might have an interest in the North.'' Ashara cringed. She was well aware that trusting the maesters was a bad idea. If it were a symbiotic relationship it would be perfect. But it wasn't. The masters had the knowledge but did not share it. In fact they also had something of a disdain to discover and had a way of saying that if it wasn't right then it was bad for everyone.

''Besides being spies if those are my reasons for wanting them out. But it's not all they are. Anyway, being out of the North means less trouble for me and that's what bothers them. They want to get their hands on North's knowledge so they don't look bad themselves and are very upset to be outclassed in that case.'' The maesters had had their ego hit in the worst possible way. So it was no wonder they wanted some kind of compensation in their minds. Harry could tell that the group would move in a more aggressive manner over time. It was only a matter of time but the laws were clear and changing them was a big no actually

''That leaves us your last report my lord…what is it about?''. Shelia was looking at the last folder. But the moment she opened it when Harry handed it to them she was shocked... because inside it was a letter.

''It is an invitation to the upcoming Harrenhall tournament which is being financed mainly by the prince. That is to say… that it is not a trap of any kind or anything''
