HE THINKS I'M A ROBOT

Maya stayed with her friend Stephan at the cafe until evening. Since she was now jobless and had nothing to do at home, she decided to keep Stephan company until closing time. Afterward, they headed home, but parted ways soon, as they lived in different directions.

Maya arrived home, feeling famished. She warmed the pie that Stefan had given her for dinner,she brought out her phone, and began scrolling through the internet looking for a job.

As she scrolled through the internet, she came across an ad that caught her attention. A company was looking for humans to act as robots for views. The pay was good,and it was daily, Maya's interest was piqued.

She recognized the company's name; they were a well-known robotics manufacturer. Occasionally, they hired human robots for display purposes, to avoid damaging their actual robots. Maya thought this could be the perfect opportunity for her.

Maya quickly checked the job posting and was disappointed to see that many people had already applied. Feeling discouraged, she decided to give it a try, as she went to sleep.

The next morning, Maya woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing with notifications. She rubbed her eyes, checked the messages, and was surprised to see a response from the company she had applied to.

Her sleepiness instantly vanished, and she eagerly opened the message. Her heart skipped a beat as she read the words: "We would like to invite you for an interview." Maya couldn't believe it - she had been selected for an interview!

Excited, Maya jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. She was ready to attend the interview and hopefully land the job as a human robot.

Maya hailed a taxi and arrived at a massive building. she entered the building and she marveled at the beautiful sight.

A guy approached her and asked, "are you here for the interview?" Maya turned to face him and replied, "yes."

The guy nodded and led her to a room where she met other people in the room as well.

Soon later they were all led to the interviewer, the interviewers asked the applicants questions and made them act like robot.

"Make your hands and legs stiff" the interviewer had corrected severally.

Most of the applicants managed to pass, including Maya. Those who failed were sent away.

Maya found herself dressed in a robot uniform, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. She wondered what the job would entail and what kind of tasks she would be expected to perform.

Maya stood still, dressed in her robot uniform, alongside other human robots. They were positioned in front of actual robots, and people walked by,inspecting them. Suddenly, a man approached and reminded them not to blink or move like humans. They had to stand still like robots from morning till closing time.

Maya felt anxious, worried she might fail. But she was willing to try.

Just then, a guy rushed over to the man,mr Samuel and whispered something in his ear. Mister Samuel's eyes widened, and he asked, "What is it?"

The guy replied, "Mr Levan is here."

Mister Samuel quickly spotted Mr levan at a distance who was approaching,Mr Samuel hurried over to greet him.

"Sir, we're honored to have you here," Mister Samuel said. "If I may ask, are you interested in our robots?"

Mister Levan replied, "I need a female robot to keep me company."

Mister Samuel gestured to the row of robots. "You can choose from any of these."

But Levan ignored him and walked over to the human robots. He inspected them, and his eyes landed on Maya.who's face was down..since they have to act that way,to make them look like their batties were down.

Maya didn't see the person standing in front of her,but she thought the voice sounded familiar.

Levan's eyes narrowed, and he said, "I want this one."

Before Mr samuel could explain that Maya was a human robot, just for display, levan walked away.

He turned back and said, "Present this robot to me at my house tonight."

Mr Samuel shook his head, wondering how to explain that Maya was a human, not a robot.

Maya was confused, wondering if she was the one that was to be presented at his house. But she brushed it off, thinking it was impossible since they were only human robots for display. She couldn't even see the person clearly because her head was down, so she dismissed the thought.

As the day went on, Maya's legs began to ache from standing for hours without a break. She started to regret taking the job, wondering why she had agreed to stand for so long.

Finally, evening arrived, and Mr samuel called everyone together to pay them for the day's work. Maya received her daily pay, and along with the others, she prepared to head home.

But just as they were about to leave, Mr Samuel called out to Maya, "You, stay behind." Maya touched her chest, wondering if he meant her. "Yes, you," Mister Samuel confirmed.

As the others left, Mr Samuel asked Maya to sit. She sat down, and he explained, " a ceo wants to buy you. He's interested in you.

Maya looked confused and respectful. "Sir, I don't understand what you're talking about,didn't you tell him I was a human??"

Mister Samuel continued, "if he is intrested in you,there is nothing we can do,we promise to pay you handsomely. Just give us your account details and we'll pay into your account for your services,please, just act like the robot you're supposed to be."

Maya stood up, refusing. "Sir, sorry, I can't do that,what if things goes south."

Mr Samuel shook his head"that's why you need to be extra careful"

"I am sorry I can't take that risk sir!" She headed to the door.

Just as she was about to leave, Mr Samuel said, "We'll pay you three million."

Maya froze, stunned by the offer. Her previous job with Mister Levan paid only $900, not even a million. Three million was a life-changing amount.

Mister Samuel noticed Maya's hesitation and added, "I'll make it five million."

Maya's eyes widened, and she turned around. "I'll do it. I'll do it."
