He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 258. Blunt.

Kailen was about to head out again when he encountered Esimo and Everlong heading towards his villa.

He nodded politely to them, about to pass by when Esimo asked, "Hi, can we get your contact?"

Kailen turned around to face them. He didn't think much of it. As for why Esimo seemed more confident to talk to him now, he figured it must have been due to having the duel with him, which made the fellow more confident around him.

Quickly, he typed his digits to them, after which they called him so that he got theirs.

Satisfied with the outcome of things, the duo left him alone, realizing he seemed busy.

However, before Kailen was able to get far, they saw a feminine demihuman approach him from afar.

What shocked them was that this feminine demihuman was a very popular rank 1 alchemist amongst the second years.

Not only that, she was extremely strong, having the strength of a rank 1 supreme stage Ascendant-level lifeform.

"Is that the popular senior Henrita?"

Everlong was the first to break the silence as they stared at Henrita approaching Kailen.

"That's obviously her. Question is, why would a senior student be performing some sort of apologetic bow to Kailen Darkhaven?"

Esimo stared at the unfolding drama from a distance, shock etched on his face.

Everlong was asking herself the same question at this point.

This Kailen Darkhaven was really not normal.

Why would a senior student, one of the top rankers of the second years, apologize to him?

They were awakeners after all. Therefore, inasmuch as they were quite a distance from Kailen and Henrita, they were able to get their answer from the conversation that unfolded next.

"I'm very sorry about what I did to you at the Manufacturing Hall. Please, I hope we can put this behind us and let go of the past."

Henrita maintained her apologetic bow for a while.

Kailen sighed.

It seemed she had misunderstood things.

She was actually not worth his time. He had decided to not pursue the whole matter since he left the Manufacturing Hall, after the way she treated him, because he didn't want to waste his time having anything to do with this snob.

After all, the expression on her face after he came out of the high-tier alchemical room was worth it. It was enough retaliation for him for what she did to him.

He decided to not pursue the matter anymore and not waste his time on her.

This was exactly why he treated her like a complete stranger when he met her at the house of the professor.

However, it seemed this lady was afraid that he was holding a grudge.

"It's alright. Just don't show your face in front of me again."

Kailen's reply was extremely cold, blunt, and straightforward.

With that, he disappeared, leaving Henrita completely shocked.

This was the first time a male student had treated her like a piece of crap.

However, she knew she had been the one at fault here.

Also, she had been wrong about him.

"He's not holding a grudge. He just doesn't want to have anything to do with me, and wants me to stay out of his way. If I keep bugging him, it will make him offended." She sighed inwardly. "To think I'd be lowering my pride in front of a junior student for the first time, but it was worth it. I suppose I no longer have to worry about Uncle and Older Nephew getting mad at me for offending him. After all, he no longer holds a grudge."

With that, she turned around, locking eyes with Esimo and Everlong from a distance.

"If news of what you both saw spreads to anyone, consider yourselves dead." She spoke coldly, turned into a streak of light, and disappeared.

"That was terrifying."

Everlong voiced sincerely.

"What do you expect from one of the top rankers of the second-year students? I heard she specializes in speed and also has the wind affinity like you," Esimo added. "You could watch some of her battle videos to glean some knowledge when you have the time."

"Not a bad idea. But this Kailen Darkhaven is really an enigma. Even if a senior student offended him, it's quite unnatural for her to visit him to personally apologize, right? These senior students are usually proud and wouldn't lower their heads for junior students even if they are in the wrong."

Esimo nodded at her words.

He was about to say something when he remembered, "I heard a senior year student apparently told him to fuck off at the Manufacturing Hall before he entered the alchemical room."

"Oh, so it's obviously her," Everlong said with realization.

"Yeah, apparently she realized she had messed with Kailen Darkhaven after he went and spent less than an hour to make an alchemical product with 98 percent purity level. That was all the rumors said. However, the name of the senior was strangely not mentioned. It seems the name o the senior student involved was covered up by the first years who were there and obviously spread the rumor because they didn't want to get on the bad side of the senior year student."

"It all makes sense now. She wants to make amends with him because he's a future powerhouse, and she doesn't want to get on his bad side. Anyway, why are we even talking about this when it's none of our business? I heard that senior Lian Yu is trying to break the record of an alumni in the Sword Conclave Mountain. Let's head there to watch," Everlong said.

"Didn't he reach the 11th level just yesterday?" Esimo muttered in surprise.

"Yeah. I know, right."

"Well, I specialize in hammer as a weapon, not swords. What use will it be to me, going there to watch? You go on ahead. I want to take on some missions."

Everlong replied, "Right. I suppose you are right. It's a waste of your time. Anyway, all the best with your mission."

With that, she disappeared, leaving Esimo to his thoughts.

Meanwhile, Kailen was headed towards the Sword Conclave Mountain after hearing a rumor connected to his father.
