He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Strolling through the streets of the bustling metropolis in his hover vehicle ,Kailen couldn't help but be surprised.

" According to the academy map,this metropolis is the accomodation planet for the first years. How grandiose .They even dedicated a planet just for accomodations. Have to admit , the Astral Empire Academy really knows how to flaunt their power "

Kailen muttered sincerely .

He observed as the bustling streets were full of several students with different appearances and different races ,heading towards different directions.

Some could be seen giggling and laughing, talking in groups and pairs.It was obvious that some had already forming connections with one another.

There were also loners like Kailen who preferred to thread alone.

Several hover vehicles whizzed past him leaving trails of wind in their wake.

Beautiful lights illuminated the night time metropolis. Unlike the examination planet ,it was currently night time on this planet .

The metropolis was really bustling.

Kailen stared at the map again ,feeling like something was off.

He stared at the building before him , a towering skyscraper and checked the holographic map again.

"Am I missing?. Is this not the house I just bought with my student credits?"

Kailen had used the store feature of the id slot to browse through a couple of houses.

As usual , he preferred living in sceneric regions.

Having settled for one house he deemed to his liking, he had spent a considerable sum of student credits to purchase it.

The AI feature of the Id slot had directed him the place . This was what had led him here .

However ,he still ended up missing.

Before he finished speaking, he heard the laughter of the time dilation artifact in his head.

Just when he was about to enter the building ,he spotted someone step out of a hover vehicle.

The person was standing in front of another villa located several distances away from his own .

The individual suddenly waved at him and flash a smile his way.

" Strange. Why is this person being so friendly ?"

Also, detective Gimmicks skill didn't pick any malicious intentions behind the person's wave.

Kailen nodded politely at the person and entered his house,not dwelling much on the encounter.

As for the person who had greeted him and flashed a smile his way , it was non other than the third person on the rankings ,Everlong Atrexia.

" Seriously . Is the universe trying to match make this guy and I or something? This is not gonna turn out like those cliché romance novels right?"

Of course Everlong was not being serious with her words .

She was just joking around . She didn't have any feelings for Kailen .

She just felt like it would be polite to flash Kailen a polite greeting since they had encountered each other.

However she was also surprised to see him buy a house in the same neighborhood , especially one that was extremely close to her own .

Of course she didn't harbor any foolish thoughts that Kailen was interested in her and had bought a house close to her to get close to her or anything .

Kailen didn't seem like that kind of person.

Plus Everlong was not a snobbish person who thought the world revolved around her or something .

Also how would he even know she had decided to live in this neighborhood in the first place ?

Plus the look in his eyes , was one of pure nonchalance when he saw her.

Kailen was currently standing in front of the mirror of the bathroom in his bathrobes after taking a long shower.

He stared at himself with a fascinated expression.

" Hmph! " The time dilation artifact snorted at his narcistic behavior .

Of course ,she was responsible for the knock Kailen had just received .

Yet , if one looked closer, they could notice a pleased expression, alongside a smirk , playing at the edge of her lips as she stared at Kailen holding his head in pain.

" Always a good feeling to bully this kid "

With that ,she dissapeared before Kailen could even ask about what the drama she had just pulled was all about.

Kailen sighed " Why does this time dilation artifact hate me so much? "

The young man sulked in pain .

Currently ,his shadow creatures were observing the whole thing in the shadow expanse ,laughing at him.

Some of them were even rolling on the floor .

In fact Everfrost was currently tapping the ground with uncontrollable laughter at the moment. That's right ,he was tapping the ground.

Feeling bad for his shadow creatures living in the amorphous,gloomy place the shadow expanse was , Kailen had made some changes to the shadow expanse .

Since it existed in his consciousness he could make it look anyhow he wanted.

This was a theory Kailen had thought of , and thankfully, it worked out when he tried it out.

The place was no longer amorphous and gloomy. There was land,rivers ,forests ,alongside others places Kailen had made, simply by envisioning them in his consciousness .

He could even project an image of himself there and talk with his shadow creatures in the shadow expanse.

Kailen chuckled at their antics , ignoring them .

He headed towards the bedroom and slumped on the bed.

Inasmuch as awakeners could do without sleep, he felt like he needed it.

Sleep was a luxury after all, and the entrance exams, though an easy breeze for him had been mentally draining .
