HDXD: Omni Harem System

Chapter 189: Zinee Baba

Adam stood with his hands in his pockets, completely relaxed. Unlike the mysterious spiritualist who had to calculate and code every spell manually — setting coordinates and parameters with effort — Adam only needed to guide the direction and movement of his magic circles with sheer will. All the complex spell codes were already subconsciously pre-programmed, thanks to his deep understanding of the Spirit Language.

But still, the question lingered in Adam's mind, who were these people, really?

Either way, his attention shifted when Nyx walked over and sat on the desk in front of the one-eyed woman. She held up her hand, and the woman gently took it by the knuckles, locking eyes with her.

They stared at each other for a moment, before the woman was the first to speak.

"It's good to see you, Nyx. But putting our reunion aside… who is this little monster you've brought with you?"

Adam glanced at her. She had rich chocolate-brown skin and a single glowing red eye...the other was hidden beneath a large eyepatch. Her hair was wild and spiked, snow-white, and long enough to reach past her knees. Sharp claws adorned her fingers, and judging by her seated posture, if she stood up, she would easily be around 6'9.

She wore a simple white dresses over her body, with a black corset. She chest was equally massive, as so her hips. Her hands were at her side as she look down at Adam.

Sensing the tension, Nyx quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

"Zinee, this is Adam… Adam, meet Zinee."

"Pleasure, darling."

Zinee said with a small smirk, bowing slightly as she held her elegant long pipe in one hand, smoke curling up from its tip.

Adam gave a simple nod in return.

"Nice to meet you, Ms."

"Baba. That's my family name."

She replied smoothly.

"But the girls call me ZZ for short."

"Hmm… well, nice to meet you, Lady Z."

Adam answered casually, clearly deciding to give her his own nickname.

Zinee raised an eyebrow but didn't correct him. That in itself was unusual, she wasn't typically so lenient.

But there was something about this child… something that quietly unsettled her. A subtle tension crawled down her spine, though she didn't show it outwardly. Still, the fact that he was with Nyx gave her some reassurance.

Adam, sensing the room settle, gave a formal nod and added.

"Greetings, human. My name is Shinso Adam… but if you prefer, you can call me Novels. That's my independent surname."

Before Adam could speak, Nyx casually stepped in, cutting through the tension with a smirk.

"Between you and me."

She said, nodding toward Adam.

"He is... technically family. Or more accurately speaking a source of worship."

Zinee blinked, her one visible eye narrowing with sudden interest.

"A source of worship you say?"

"Yeah."

Replied Nyx.

"Wait...don't tell me… he is from that family?"

"Exactly."

Nyx nudged Adam forward.

"He is the youngest member of the Shinso family, and one of the patron Monster Gods of the Hellsing family, alongside his other sisters.

Zinee let out a low whistle, her pipe dipping slightly as she looked Adam over again.

"That's... unexpected. He does give off a heavy presence, but outwardly... he is kind of adorable. Almost childlike."

"True."

Nyx said with a shrug.

"He is cute, but that smile hides a monster. Don't be fooled."

Adam cleared his throat.

"I'm just defending myself. No need to tarnish my good reputation."

He brushed it off, then smoothly pivoted to what really bothered him.

"Anyway... who the hell were those cultists freaks?"

Zinee took a slow drag from her pipe, the smoke curling like mist around her face.

"They call themselves the Cult of the New Order. They emerged around 2070. Started small, but grew fast. Now they're a serious force behind the scenes of Celestine, Bernardia, Apollos, and several other territories in the Human Empire, Sectors C, B, and A."

Adam frowned.

"What kind of cult are we talking about?"

"The usual satanic archetype."

Zinee replied.

"They worship demons, real ones. But demons aren't the cartoonish monsters people imagine. Like the creatures of the Monster World or the other Supernatural Worlds, demons from the Demon World, the same for the other races dont obey the laws of logic. Their powers aren't something you can measure or understand through research. They just are. And that's what makes them so dangerous."

"So we got a Demonic Cult in our hands?!"

Nyx said with an annoyed tone. Cutting her eyes and sighing.

"Just another thing on the Mission agenda I guess."

'Hmmm... This Father Magla guy seem to know a lot, still who the fuck was that weird chick?'

Adam said to himself.

Until he remember what he said about her.

"Death has a different meaning for that child, if your not affecting her soul loss beyond the reaches of time and space it is pointless."

The realization hit hard.

This wasn't just some random cult fanatic.

They were dealing with something truly alien.

"Those freaks were something else."

He said quietly, almost to himself.

"I need to get stronger before I'll feel comfortable facing them head-on."

'They're tough, sure."

Nyx chimed in.

"But I'll handle them."

Zinee raised a brow.

"You're not planning to fight them alone, are you?"

Her tone carried more concern than challenge.

But Adam just gave a small shrug, his voice steady.

"I'll be fine. They're not the only ones with strange tricks and... unique perspectives."

Zinee blinked, exhaling.

"You're one crazy kid, you know that?"

"I'll take that as a compliment, human."

Nyx stepped forward, placing a hand on Adam's shoulder as she backed him up.

"Relax, ZZ. I'm stronger than Adam, and even I respect his strength. Those cult bastards were dangerous, but so is he."

Zinee sighed and shook her head with a smile.

"Alright, alright. I hear you. I was just worried, that's all. Still, it's nice to meet you, Adam."

Adam returned the gesture with a nod and the faintest smirk.

"The feeling's mutual, human."

"So Nyx, are you ready for tonight's performance?"

Zinee asked with a grin.

"Oh yeah! I'm super stoked to reunite with the girls."

Nyx clapped her hands with excitement.

"That's the spirit. Let's not let tonight's business ruin the fun."

"True."

Adam stepped between the two, his tone more grounded.

"But let's not ignore the elephant in the room, why does this Father Magla guy want to buy the Obsidian Rose from you?"

Zinee exhaled, lips pursed as she mulled it over.

"No clue. If I had to guess? It's to expand his territory and influence. Most of the businesses around here are already owned by the Cult of the New Order. Their grip on the Sectors is only getting tighter by the day."

Adam crossed his arms, nodding.

"Makes sense. Demons aren't just chaotic like Monsters, they're calculated, manipulative, and thirsty for blood."

"And worse, they devour souls."

Zinee added.

"The more they consume, the stronger they grow. If left unchecked, they'll drain entire populations."

Adam's expression darkened as he processed the information.

"I see... I'll need to investigate this further."

"I can help if you want."

Nyx offered warmly.

"Thanks, but I got this."

Adam said with a smirk.

"In fact...why wait?"

Suddenly, a massive tail surged from behind him, black and blue in hue, splitting like a hydra's heads. From each glowing tip, a clone of Adam emerged, three in total each carrying a shard of his power.

The first clone had the ability of <Water Affinity>.

The second has <Voracious Lightning>.

And the third was equipped with <Illusion>.

As he granted them power, Adam felt those abilities fade from himself, transferred wholly into the clones.

But then came the transformation.

Each clone began shifting, morphing into unique personas.

The first took the form of a tall, pale woman, her black hair tied into a long ponytail, purple lipstick decorating her lips. She wore a white undershirt, black joggers, and a jacket tied casually around her waist, and behind her hair her eyes shine dark purple.

The second became a young boy, no older than ten, with wild black hair and gleaming golden eyes filled with mischief. Dressed in a simple shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes, he radiated playful danger.

The third transformed into a muscular young man around twenty-two, standing 6'8" tall. He had sharp, noble features, shoulder-length black hair, and wore a thick blue leather jacket over a fitted shirt and jeans.

Zinee blinked in stunned silence. Her magic picked up their aura instantly.

Each one... A-Rank Threat.

Just clones, yet radiating power that could rival multi-city-level monsters.

"Not bad."

She muttered under her breath.

Adam raised his hand, casting a spatial warp gate behind each clone.

Without a word, they turned and walked through the portals like perfectly programmed operatives.

The woman would infiltrate Sector A.

The boy would monitor Sector B.

The man would remain in Sector C, patrolling the city's underbelly.

And with that, they were gone, vanished like whispers in the wind.

Adam brushed off his shirt and turned to Nyx.

"Well, that should handle things for now. Let's head back...after all, you've got a show to steal tonight."
