Chapter 159: The news hit hard
The air in Konoha was heavy.
Tsunade sat at her desk, staring blankly at the report in front of her. The news was something she had feared, but no amount of preparation could soften the blow. Jiraiya was dead.
The first tear came slowly, rolling down her cheek in defiance of her usual composure.
Damn it, Jiraiya…
The door swung open, and a deep, gruff voice called out, "You called for us, Hokage-sama?"
Kakashi, Sai, Sakura, Yamato, Naruto, and Harry entered the office.
The moment Naruto stepped inside, the weight in the room made his stomach drop. The somber expressions. The air of quiet mourning.
He already knew.
But he needed to hear it.
Tsunade took a breath. "Jiraiya… is gone."
Silence.
Then—explosion.
Naruto's chakra flared violently, the pressure shaking the room. His fists clenched, nails digging into his palms, his body trembling with a rage he could barely contain.
"WHY?!" Naruto roared, his eyes burning with a mix of grief and fury. "WHY DID YOU LET HIM GO ALONE?! WE COULD'VE HELPED HIM!"
The sheer intensity of his emotions caused cracks to form in the wooden floor beneath him.
Harry, ever calm, stepped forward. "Naruto," he said, his voice steady.
But Naruto wasn't listening. He turned his glare onto Tsunade, his blue eyes filled with unshed tears. "YOU KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! WHY DID YOU LET HIM?!"
Tsunade didn't answer. She simply stared at him, the pain in her heart mirroring his.
Harry sighed. "Naruto… Jiraiya wasn't just some old man. He was a warrior. A shinobi."
Naruto gritted his teeth, trying to breathe through the emotions threatening to consume him.
Harry continued, his voice low but firm. "Jiraiya knew he was getting older. And you know him—there was no way he was going to sit back and let someone else handle this. He died as he wanted to—as a shinobi, fighting for what he believed in."
Naruto's fists trembled. His rage cooled, but his resolve hardened.
He let out a slow breath, his voice lower but filled with pure intent. "Then I'll make sure that bastard Pain experiences more of it."
Harry smirked, crossing his arms. "Guess you could say… we're about to give him a whole lot of pain."
For a second, the sheer ridiculousness of it made Naruto snort. Then he glared at Harry. "Too soon, you asshole."
Harry chuckled, throwing an arm around his shoulder. "Maybe. But you smiled. And that's what matters."
The atmosphere lightened, but the determination in the room only grew.
Naruto turned to Tsunade, his voice now steady. "I'm leaving. Harry and I are training. When Pain comes… he's not gonna be ready for us."
Tsunade nodded, her voice hoarse. "Go."
And with that, Naruto and Harry turned, stepping out into the world to prepare for war.
The duo arrived at Mount Myoboku, greeted by Fukasaku, Shima, and the other toads.
Naruto wasted no time.
"Train me," he said simply.
The toads nodded, understanding his rage, his grief, his need for strength.
Harry, meanwhile, took things a step further.
He tapped a seal on his wrist. Suddenly, the weight on his body skyrocketed.
The ground beneath him cracked as he adjusted.
500 times gravity.
Even for him, it was a challenge. But he needed it.
Naruto grinned. "You know what? I'll join you."
Harry raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that?"
Naruto activated his gravity seals, starting at 15 times Earth's gravity. The sudden increase made his knees buckle, but he forced himself upright.
"Yeah," he said through gritted teeth. "I'm sure."
The training began.
For weeks, the duo trained harder than ever before. Thousands of shadow clones were sent to perfect every possible aspect of shinobi combat.

By the end of their training, they weren't just strong.
They were unstoppable.
It started with a rumble.
Then, a deafening explosion.
The sky darkened as six towering figures descended upon Konoha.
Pain had arrived.
The villagers screamed, buildings crumbled, and a single, god-like voice echoed through the sky.
"I am Pain. And I will bring judgment upon this world."
But this time, Pain had made a mistake.
He wasn't just facing Konoha.
He was facing two monsters-in-the-making.
And when Naruto and Harry arrived, standing atop the Hokage Monument, watching the destruction unfold beneath them…
They smirked.
"Let's go make him regret ever coming here."
