Harry Potter: The Boy Loved by Beasts

Chapter 41: Recon!

Recon!

Chapter 41: sneaky little brat.

Author: Man, are you a fucking succubus cub or what?

Vira: It doesn't work against enemies, so it's not that great. Anyone with a bit of mental fortitude or a neutral or bad view of people will just ignore it.

Author: It charmed the deputy headmaster of the greatest wizarding school! What do you mean it's not great?

Vira: She's not going to listen or obey me! It just increased her patience when dealing with me.

Author: Sure, whatever!

Naturally, during these two hours, these questions were not the only ones that Vira asked. There were many more others concerning economics and other stuff.

But to go onto them would take too long, and also there is one interesting fact: Vira had brought her to his office.

No, it was not the messy bedroom which was filled with animals and well without any proper place to stay, but a legitimate study/office room.

It was more of an official room which never got used, but it was kept clean and tidy by the house's caretaker. There was also an interesting fact about the room—it was completely monitored from all sides. There were hidden cameras all around the room, not leaving a single inch, as well as a high-definition audio recorder.

Bringing the professor into the room, the questions foretold before, as well as countless others, were kept recorded and would soon be analyzed by the professionals after Vira orders them.

Either way, after talking for such a long time and the sun starting to set, Professor McGonagall thought it was time to leave as she still had quite a lot of work to prepare supplies for the coming first years and also many other tasks. But before that, she reminded Vira:

Professor: Don't forget to buy the supplies. The Leaky Cauldron is between a bookshop and a record store on Charing Cross Road in London. From there, the owner will guide you to Diagon Alley where you can buy supplies.

After saying that, she seemed to recall something as she said again:

Professor: Also, Muggles can't see it unless they are informed about it, like the letter, so don't just send your people there. You need to go there yourself! she said in a strict but concerned tone.

Then, after thinking for a while, she said in a stern voice, perhaps to make sure Vira remembered her words.

Professor: Also, the Hogwarts train will set off at 11:00 in September at the station. Remember! It is Platform Nine and Three-Quarters at King's Cross Station. It is the pillar. It is enchanted, so you can just phase through it. Just run through it, and you will enter the station.

Although the strict tone was not there, Professor McGonagall had already said this multiple times in their conversation; after all, she was not some big buffoon who forgot to tell the most important things.

After reminding Vira multiple times about the date and things he needed to do, she seemed satisfied and stood up from her seat and proceeded to pull out her wand. But she was stopped by droopy-eyed Vira. This MF seemed addicted to pretending as a child or something.

Ahem… back to the topic. Just as the professor was raising her wand to cast Apparition and head wherever she wanted to go, she was stopped by Vira, who had now clung to her and was asking, beggingly.

Vira: Can you show me around?

Then, sensing that he was about to be rejected, he leveled up his act and said, "We can go there now! I will be good! I swear."

It seemed that he was unsatisfied with just that, as he spoke in a crying tone: "Grandpa can't take me there. He broke his back and needs to rest."

After seeing this, he peeked at Professor McGonagall's face but was shocked to see no response. He did not know the reason. According to the behavior she had shown, she should have agreed after this, but she still seemed reluctant.

This made him think that his previous judgments were wrong, and he was about to retreat, but "the sole fact that he would have to go to a place filled with inhuman monsters… Well, wizards, but they might as well be called monsters, given the abilities he had seen so far," prompted him to control his urge to run and grab a gun.

He doubled down on the pity act, saying he had no parents and acting like a little baby who wouldn't give up unless he got what he wanted, until Professor McGonagall finally agreed to take him.

Hearing her agreement, he jumped up in joy—at least his body acted that way. But the strange response he got when hearing about Nicolas's injury had his mind worried sick.

So he quickly distanced himself from her, acting all joyful. Then he said:

Vira: Then please wait a while! I'll go change my clothes, otherwise my grandpa would scold me if I get sick dressed like this.

Hearing that, Professor McGonagall simply smiled. Perhaps there would have been more response if he stayed, but he wanted to consult with the experts about the strange behavior and also how she would behave if left alone.

If she lost her smile or her emotion changed drastically, he would run off there that very instance.

Speaking of drastic change, there was one—just not from Professor McGonagall. It came from Vira, whose expression changed as soon as he reached the door of the room where the experts in psychology were.

With a serious tone, he asked the people in front of him:

Vira: Any idea why she was uncaring about Nicolas's injury?

The men in front seemed to already know he would ask that, as one guy—whose name was Jeffrey, as told by Silas—came to the front and said:

Jeffrey: We think there are a few reasons for that. We discussed and came to agree more on two valid theories.

Vira was already annoyed enough from being stressed by acting like a kid. Now, looking at this guy's stupid face, he didn't hold back as he cursed.

Vira: If you wind one more word, I will pull your fucking tongue out and feed it to the dogs.

Jeffrey was a bit scared, but he was head of the psychology department, and that came with countless benefits. However, there was one bad thing that came with it, which he had never experienced before but was forced to accept. Scared and knowing that it was his job, he spoke in a timid tone.

Jeffrey: First, we think that the medical field is advanced in the magical world, so she might not think of breaking a few bones as something bad!

For Vira, this fit the bill. Well, it was the reason he would like for that. Otherwise, he felt like he was screwed in the upcoming world he was forced into. So, consoling himself that this was the reason and it's not as bad as he thought, he calmed down and asked for the second reason.

He had already decided that it was it, but still, he wanted to know the second one.

Jeffrey: She might not care about the Muggles. Although there is not much to prove this point since she only interacted with you, it's still maybe the reason.

Hearing this seemed to have no effect on Vira, as he walked out and ordered Peter, who had come beside him at some point.

Vira: Let someone get the recon suit and also gather experts from other fields to watch it. Remember to bring the historian, her dress makes me think it's from an older era.

Saying this, Vira jolted forward to his room to evacuate the animals that remained in there. Peter seemed to have something to say, but he was too fast.

Also, I don't think I said it, but the recon suit is one of the outcomes after investing some money against the supernatural. It's just a suit equipped with lots of recording devices, both audio and video.

It came soon after, as it was in the villa. Vira dressed in it, had the signals connected, and had signal towers being transported to Charing Cross Road to ensure that this thing didn't fail to send data to the experts. Sure, there was storage in it, but it's better to have real-time communication.

Getting ready, Vira came back to the study and said to Professor:

Vira: I am ready to see the wizarding world!
