Harem With Venom In Marvel/Dc

Chapter 171: Chapter 169: The Rise of Black Adam

Kahndaq was a land rich with ancient history and culture.

But for a long time, it had endured various forms of oppression and suffering—ruled by dictators, harassed by international criminal organizations, and plagued by constant strife.

In the distance from the city, on a desolate mountain, three figures descended from the sky. With a thunderous crash, they smashed through the mountain wall and arrived at an ancient ruin.

Dust rose all around. Chino blew a powerful gust from his mouth, clearing the dust through the hole they had created.

"Pamela, you and Harley stay back," he said.

"Alright, dear," Pamela responded sweetly, pulling Harley with her as they retreated to a safer distance.

Chino observed the inscriptions on the ground.

The demonic symbol on his chest began to glow. Activating the power of the Thousand-Tongue Demon, he instantly understood every language ever used in human history.

It was out of his resentment for past academic struggles that he had copied this fascinating ability.

"In the name of the six elders, gods above all gods," Chino chanted.

Red magical energy began to flow from his mouth as he recited the incantation. It resonated with the patterns etched on the ground.

The markings instantly lit up with mysterious blue glyphs, glowing brightly as the entire ruin was bathed in an ethereal light.

"SHAZAM!"

A bolt of blue lightning roared down from the heavens, striking the seal with overwhelming power. The deafening boom echoed through the mountains as the energy pulse spread outward in waves.

Chino stood unmoving, his cape billowing wildly in the wind. His posture was straight and unyielding, like an immovable statue, his gaze cold and detached.

He looked down at the hooded figure now kneeling before him.

Despite the submissive one-knee position, the figure exuded the weight and pressure of a heavy boulder, demanding attention with his presence.

Not far off, Pamela and Harley held their breath, eyes locked on the intense confrontation.

"Is that pose your way of showing submission to me, Black Adam?" Chino asked calmly.

A flicker of cold light flashed beneath the hood as Black Adam slowly rose and reached for Chino's throat.

"My name… is Teth-Adam."

Boom!

Chino instantly caught his wrist with a muffled impact.

"I know. That's the name chosen for your hero identity."

"…I am no hero."

A trace of shock crossed Black Adam's eyes. His arm suddenly surged with blue lightning, crackling violently.

"That tingling sensation… is this how you treat your savior?" Chino said with a smirk. He followed up with a sudden uppercut to the chin—a Rising Dragon Fist that sent a black blur hurtling into the sky.

"Pamela, I'll be back soon."

With that, Chino blasted off like a rocket into the sky.

Black Adam finally stabilized himself in midair, shaking off the dizziness. He looked toward the nearby city, confusion evident in his eyes.

"Where… am I?"

"This is Kahndaq, your homeland… five thousand years into the future," Chino's voice echoed from behind him.

"Five… thousand years?" Black Adam muttered, stunned, slowly turning around.

His cape had disappeared after the earlier impact. Standing tall and muscular, he now wore a suit of ancient black armor marked with a large, faded lightning bolt on his chest.

[He's got that strong-guy vibe. Better make your own symbol before it's too late.]

Venom's sarcastic voice echoed in Chino's mind.

Chino eyed Black Adam's smooth bald head and mused to himself, Not every strong guy needs to be a bald villain. Wrong universe, buddy.

"Who are you, sorcerer?" Black Adam demanded, in disbelief that anyone outside the wizard could wield such power.

"No… I am a demon king. You can call me Chino."

Chino crossed his arms.

"Why did you awaken me?" Black Adam asked, his expression serious.

"I want to borrow your power… for research."

Chino's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"You want to steal my power?" Black Adam growled.

He clenched his fists and hurled a punch at Chino, generating a gust of wind.

Chino met the punch head-on. Boom! A thunderous impact resounded, sending Black Adam flying.

"So it's going to be a fight, huh? Fine. Let's begin testing. First—strength."

Black Adam regained control midair and launched himself back. His body tensed, muscles bulging as he threw another punch—this time, knocking Chino back.

"Your strength surpasses the base-level Hulk… Can it go higher?" Chino muttered, patting his chest.

"Die!" Black Adam roared, lightning bursting across his body as he hurled arcs of blue electricity from his palms.

Chino calmly raised a hand, intercepting the lightning as it scattered into electric arcs before him.

"Magical in nature—definitely more potent than natural lightning," he analyzed, slightly disappointed.

Something was off. Black Adam shouldn't have been this weak.

After unleashing his lightning, Black Adam panted heavily, visibly drained.

"Ah, right. Sealed for five thousand years without any replenishment. Even with Shazam's power, you're completely exhausted."

Chino remembered that in the original story, Black Adam was knocked out by a single magically-empowered Eternium missile upon awakening.

Black Adam's eyes burned with fury as he charged again.

Chino extended a hand and casually caught him by the throat.

"Tough luck. Guess we won't need to test anything further. Hand over your Shazam power."

Although he could restore Black Adam's energy with a potion, he wasn't stupid enough to empower his opponent.

"Never!" Black Adam roared, trying to break free, his body erupting with violent blue lightning. The bolts danced like serpents, forming a massive electrical net that distorted the very air.

But despite his full effort, he couldn't move Chino's grip even a fraction.

"Fine. I'll just take it myself."

The core on Chino's chest glowed with the symbol of Professor X.

A psychic force invaded Black Adam's mind. He tried to resist, but was powerless. The fire in his eyes faded to blank emptiness.

"Give me your power.""SHAZAM!"

Blue lightning fell from the sky, striking them both.

Chino landed gently and let go of Black Adam.

Adam's knees buckled. He barely managed to stay upright.

His once-powerful physique now shrunken, he had reverted to an ordinary human.

"My… power…" he whispered in disbelief.

"No… it's my power now," Chino corrected.

His armor remained the same—except now, a lightning bolt glowed on his chest.

Chino flexed his body. The increase in physical strength was minimal, but he had gained the ability to summon lightning.

He raised a hand toward a large boulder nearby. Crack! A bolt shot out, obliterating the stone.

Not as powerful as his heat vision, though.

"How do you feel, Venom?"

[I don't feel much. But your body now contains a magical energy source.]

"A magic source?"

"SHAZAM!"

A bolt of lightning struck him again.

"How about now? Any lingering effects?"

[Some strange remnants remain, but I can purge them if needed.]

"Wait… I have a theory I want to test."

"SHAZAM!""SHAZAM!""SHAZAM!""SHAZAM!"…

(While Shazam once defeated Superman, don't compare Shazam's peak performance to Superman's off day.)

Quote of the Chapter:"The true weight of power is not in how it's gained, but in how it's wielded."
