Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!

Chapter 242: Karma?

The night came to an end with nothing much going on, Calista ended up passing the night there after Kyle had administered first aid to her wound so it wouldn't get infected or fester.

Calista wasn't aware of the child in his house but Kyle didn't want her to stay the night, however he couldn't risk something happening to her on the way as he would be the last one to see her alive which would naturally be shady and bring unwanted attention to him.

Jasmine woke up and felt better than she did yesterday.

It was the smell of food that snapped her out of it and this was when Calista became aware of her presence.

Jasmine walked towards the kitchen and just stood at the door, staring at Calista.

"Who are you, kid?" Calista asked but Jasmine was in a trance, she was beautiful and this was the first time she had seen someone this pretty up close.

"That is my daughter…" Kyle appeared out of nowhere, Calista was surprised he could keep his hands off her but this must be the reason.

"Y-Your daughter?" Calista tried to hide her shock but didn't do so quite well.

Jasmine looked up at Kyle with a confused look on her face.

"You are not papa," Jasmine said bluntly, oblivious to the joke and Kyle's smile soon changed to embarrassment. Jasmine had left him hanging.

"Jasmine, play along," Kyle whispered to her.

"You want to play?" Jasmine said out loud prompting Kyle to sigh in defeat.

Calista couldn't hold in her laughter as it escaped her barely parted lips.

Jasmine noticed the bandage around Calista's wrist and rushed towards her.

"The doctors can fix you!" Jasmine exclaimed but this was a simple cut that shouldn't require such an action.

Jasmine was feeling a lot better, whatever Aiysha did must have worked wonders because there was no way he would have been able to do this alone.

Kyle already made sure of all of this but had no interest in answering Calista's question because he didn't know what Jasmine was to him.

She was just a child he picked up on the road but saying this would raise alarms as it wasn't legal to snatch up a child on the road and keep her.

He was also trying his best to keep her away from law enforcements so this was something he had to take into consideration.

The less people that knew about her, the better it was for him. At least, until the situation had been sorted out.

Kyle was surprised Calista was cooking to begin with, he expected her to be out that door as soon as the sun came up because of what happened the morning before dawn.

However, she opted to stay but Kyle knew all this was a ploy to get back into his graces but it was a gesture that came in handy because Jasmine now had something to eat.

Kyle watched her eat like a mad dog and all he could do was smile, he didn't know how she was fitting all of that food into her small body.

Calista snuck a peak at Kyle and couldn't believe this was the same man who had told her to harm herself.

The switch was amazing, it was like Kyle had multiple masks he wore to fit into any situation he found himself in.

"Are you okay?" Kyle caught her staring at him but the malice she sensed of him that day was nowhere to be found.

Whoever this child was, she needed to find out more about her.

-

Jane and Ella had a much-needed time together but Jane was missing Kyle.

She didn't want to seem clingy so she tried her hardest to stop herself from texting him even though it physically hurt not to do so.

Ella left the house in the morning because she had to make a living and knew she couldn't do so sitting at home.

The fact that she was from a rich home and had access to some of that wealth might be the opportunity she needed never to work again.

The fact that Kyle took a chance on her despite not knowing anything about her was a good testament to where his heart was.

She knew he did it for Jane but judging by the dynamic of their relationship. There was no reason for him to go this far for her because he already had her in his pocket.

This meant all he did was because he wanted to not because he had to, which made him one of the few people to ever do that for her.

She was worried about Calista and knew that even if Jane didn't see her as a threat, there was no telling how far she was willing to get her way with Kyle.

Kyle was at the top of the food chain and there was no way that others wouldn't try to claim a seat beside him.

People that would make Calista look ordinary but Ella also knew there was a chance that Kyle had been intimate with her.

He was a man after all and there was no way he wouldn't have thought about it at least once and Calista trying to subtly mark her territory was a give away.

The problem was when did something occur between them, was it before he started seeing Jane or before?

The timeframe mattered the most because if it was before then it wasn't their business but if it was after, Ella knew that there was no way he was stopping because of Jane.

She had her fingers crossed and allowed her best friend to remain oblivious but she also caught on that Jane missed Kyle a lot more than she let on.

This was why she gave her one suggestion before leaving for work.

"Surprise him,"

But would this single piece of advice be the thing that destroys this relationship as Calista was currently with Kyle.
