Guide To Reign My Tycoon Husbands

Chapter 631: Nan Zhi Ran Away

Qi Yongrui had nothing to say against Luo Huian's remarks. What was he supposed to even say? What Luo Huian told him was indeed correct; it was a good thing that he wanted to help someone, but what was the point of helping someone when he didn't even have the slightest bit of an idea of what he was doing and thinking? Just like these two kids.

He knew in his heart that he would have to return them to Ye Jinglan, who would never treat them well, and yet he rushed to help them. By doing so, he only made things difficult for Nan Zhi and Nan Wu. Not only would Ye Jinglan bully them worse than ever, even they would also have a hard time since they were no longer used to the sufferings that they had faced in the past.

The more Qi Yongrui thought about it, the more worried he became.

"Don't think about it too much now," said Luo Huian when she saw the mer frowning harder than ever. "Since it had already happened, we can only deal with the consequences now."

"Do you have a plan?" Realising that his wife sounded quite calm, Qi Yongrui turned and questioned her in a quiet voice. When he saw her raise her head and shoot a look at him, he lowered his head and apologetically said to her, "No, I didn't mean anything. I was just asking if you have already thought of something, as you sounded a bit too confident."

Luo Huian shook her head before saying, "I have, but we don't know if it will work or not." She hadn't told Qi Yongrui about Nan Zhi being a vessel of the Hollow yet, nor did she plan on telling him anything. She had been trying to ease the Hollow inside of Nan Zhi through her spiritual energy and the desserts.

But unfortunately for her, there was nothing that seemed to be working.

It seemed like the grudge that the little girl had against Ye Jinglan was not simple, and maybe even against her mother, who was not alive.

Luo Huian placed the book on the cabinet next to her bed and then went to sleep. There were a bunch of things that she needed to deal with at the moment, including the hollow that was buried deep inside the little girl.

However, what she never would have expected was that Nan Zhi would actually dare to run out of the hospital that very night! When she received the call from the hospital, Luo Huian was shocked silly to find out that Nan Zhi had run out of the hospital and for what reason? The answer was simple. That little girl heard about the gossip that was flying in the hospital. When she heard that Luo Huian was getting scolded all over the internet, she was furious.

But no one thought that the little girl would actually leave the hospital in the middle of the night.

When Luo Huian received the call, she felt her head buzz. She knew that the little girl was sneaky, but she never knew that she was this sneaky. She actually dared to go out of the hospital at such an odd hour! Was she not scared of being caught by the human traffickers or something of the sort?

Doctor Tian was also uncomfortable and afraid. He never thought that these nurses would be this careless. They actually allowed a child around Nan Zhi's age to leave the premises of the hospital. Who would have thought that they were this unprofessional? It was bad enough that they were gossiping in the hospital, but they even made the patient uncomfortable with their mocking and didn't even notice Nan Zhi escaping the hospital. A bunch of adults who should have known better than to let a child run amok!

He said to Luo Huian, "I am really sorry, Miss Luo. It's all because of me and my incompetent staff. I assure you that I will punish them accordingly; what they did is nothing less than dereliction of their duties as nurses; they should have known better."

Doctor Tian had never been embarrassed like this before. A child who was not even sixteen yet was able to escape from his hospital, from right under the noses of the nurses whom he had hired. This was a serious lack of consideration and care on the part of his staff, and he didn't feel comfortable about it.

He was going to fire them all for this mistake!

Luo Huian didn't stop the mer from firing those nurses. She too agreed with Doctor Tian. How could a bunch of adults mock a child and even allow her to run away from the hospital without even realising that she had run away for hours?

She said to Doctor Tian, "Did you find any clues as to where the child might be heading?"

"I did check the surveillance, and from the records, it can be seen that the little girl got into the car of one of the patients. They were from the city, so I am sure that the little girl is heading back to the city, as to why, I have no answer to that."

There was no need for Doctor Tian to give her an answer because Luo Huian knew what had happened and why the little girl was heading to the city. She ended the call and turned to look at Qi Yongrui, who had woken up when he heard her phone ringing. He questioned, "What's the matter? What happened to Nan Zhi?"

He didn't know what had happened, just that something might have happened to Nan Zhi. sitting upright on the bed, he waited for Luo Huian to speak.

"Nan Zhi ran away from the hospital," replied Luo Huian with a frown as she walked over to the door and pulled it open. If Nan Zhi was heading to the city, she was worried that the Hollow that was slumbering within her was about to explode. Ye Jinglan was the trigger to her anger and the key to waking her slumbering Hollow up.

"What?" Qi Yongrui jumped to his wheelchair and chased after Luo Huian. He was simply stunned upon hearing her response, as he never thought that the little girl would actually run out of the hospital and even go looking for Ye Jinglan. "How can those nurses allow her to leave? I thought that Doctor Tian said that Nan Zhi was kept in the VIP ward. What kind of nurses are working in his hospital if they can speak at will in front of the patients without knowing what they can speak about and what they cannot?"

"I understand that you are angry, but there is no point in getting angry now," said Luo Huian as she pulled the jacket over her shoulders. She turned her head and glanced at the mer whose face had turned red in anger. "You stay here and take care of everyone."

"Here?" Qi Yongrui raised his head and looked at his wife in shock. He pursed his lips and said to Luo Huian, "What do you mean by that I should stay here? What will you do alone?"

"You cannot do anything even if you come with me. That girl—she has a hollow within her. It wasn't eradicated in time, which makes her as dangerous as a ticking time bomb."

As soon as she finished speaking, Qi Yongrui's face turned pale. He had never thought that the little girl whom he had brought was a vessel of Hollow, and when he thought about how his wife was heading to the city to deal with the mess that he had created, his heart clenched with worry, and he looked at Luo Huian with reluctance.

"No need to worry," said Luo Huian. "I will be back safely; you stay here with the others and take care of them."

After she finished speaking, she turned on her feet and headed out of the farmhouse.

Qi Yongrui watched her leave and turned even more flustered. Even though Luo Huian had done this before, in the past, he had never cared because he didn't care about his wife. But now it was no longer the same. He cared about his wife a lot. When he thought about how Luo Huian might get hurt or something might happen to her, his expression didn't look good.

Maybe it had something to do with his love for Luo Huian, but the second she left, all kinds of bad thoughts started to rush into his head. In the past, when he didn't care about Luo Huian, he didn't have such thoughts, but now that he cared about her, all sorts of thoughts started flitting in and out of his head, which made it unbearable for him to sit still.

"What's the matter with you?"

Qi Yongrui turned around and looked at the mer who was eyeing him with great distaste.
