"No, No… I am willing," Murong Tai was really afraid of Yu Dong now. This woman really did not act according to the rules. Even when they threatened her with Murong Si's death, she remained unbothered. If they really pulled something to upset her, she might really call everything off.

You might not be aware of this but even my grandmother works on the farm, it doesn't matter who you are or how you are related to me. As long as you are under me, you will have to work if you want to earn a living better than the rest."

"The only difference is that I will pay you more than the one outside."

"I understand," Murong Tai stopped her mother from speaking, as she agreed with Yu Dong's suggestion. Her mother turned and gave her a look but Murong Tai did not glance back at her instead she looked at Yu Dong who smiled at her and nodded.

"It seems like you are wiser than you look," Yu Dong praised lightly before getting up from the couch. She glanced at the two women before giving them a wave, "Then I guess this matter ends here. And oh, since you have put forward so many conditions, I hope I see the betrothal gifts by the end of this week."

"What does she mean by that? We clearly handed the betrothal gifts to Second Madam Yu! Why is she asking us for them?" Old Madam Murong sharply questioned her daughter whose expression was not good. "Why did you not say anything? I mean isn't her cousin who is in the wrong?"

"No, she isn't," Murongt Tai was much clearer on the things that were going on. She turned to look around them and made sure that no one was listening to their conversation before dragging her mother away from the Yu house even further. "She asked for the betrothal gifts because we asked for compensation from her. Madam Yu knows what went between us and Second Madam Yu.

More importantly, she and Second Madam Yu don't get along, so she must have used this opportunity to teach a lesson to her aunt."

"More importantly, Yu Dong is not someone who would let us take advantage of her and stay quiet."

Inside the Yu house, Chen Mi was looking at Yu Dong who was holding Yu Jin on her lap. His stare was burning into Yu Dong's side profile as she sighed helplessly and then questioned, "Why are you looking at me like that? If you want to say something then just say it, I am not going to eat you."

Chen Mi narrowed his eyes as he placed his hands flat on the table before asking, "What were you thinking? Why did you promise those two that you would give that woman a job? She smells trouble! More importantly, she is Murong Si's sister, I am certain that the woman is even a step ahead of her brother!"

"I know that," Yu Dong remarked.

"And you still agreed? For what reason!?" Chen Mi's voice hitched up a notch as he looked at Yu Dong. He wanted to ask his wife whether or not she had gone crazy but he held back because their son was in the room.
