Greek Myth: Zeus Wants Me to Be His/Her (XXXX)?????

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: The Fall of the Silver Bug!

To destroy the city he'd built with his own hands,

Eros felt no regret, no sorrow.

On the contrary, he was exhilarated. Even his magnetic power seemed to hum with excitement.

Like a child building sandcastles, most passionate in the building, happiest at the completion,

and most satisfied of all when, just before going home, he kicked it to pieces with a single, glorious stomp.

Playing a game was fun. But shutting it off after a session, that brought its own unique satisfaction.

"My, you really look like you can't wait anymore."

Poseidon effortlessly fended off the rampaging Acheron, still finding time to tease Eros.

"If you're that eager, why not just join in now?

Otherwise, once she's done for, you'll only be in more danger."

Her words left space for all kinds of interpretations,

and as she spoke, she snapped one of Acheron's four arms like a twig.

Poseidon had been watching the rising surge of power around Eros, fed by his emotions.

Just like last time. When would he rush her again?

"No need. If you can finish her quickly, please do."

Eros ignored her taunts. He knew that staying still was more useful than attacking.

Acheron's madness left no room for reason, much less coordination.

Charging in recklessly would only create openings.

But so long as he didn't move, Poseidon's wary gaze stayed locked on him.

Was that earlier strike just a feint?

Is he hiding some trump card that could end this in one blow?

Would my next move expose a weakness?

Poseidon, cautious to the extreme, couldn't stop thinking through every possibility.

Meanwhile, Eros used this chance to study her,

her fighting style, her habits.

With every minute Poseidon stayed locked in battle with Acheron,

Eros's understanding deepened.

Poseidon herself probably didn't realize, this human's actual battle experience was practically zero.

But as a magnetic field wielder, his growth could be as absurdly rapid as a cheat code in a Simpson's scripture.

"So this is it, then."

Amid the rubble, Poseidon tossed aside Acheron's broken wings.

All her arms had been snapped. Poseidon tore the siren body apart just to be sure.

Rest in Tartarus for a while. You've lost my interest for now.

"And you,

You just sat back and watched while I killed her," she said, wiping Acheron's blood from her face.

"So cold. So ruthless. Is that what you call an ally? You left her city in ruins."

"Oh, but of course, you were never truly allies.

This is some power of yours, isn't it?

Like the charms of the goddess of love, twisting minds, corrupting hearts."

"Looking at your face, your deeds,

even I can't help but wonder,

Maybe I'm the good one here."

Always trying to strike with words, always probing for weakness.

Eros was getting used to her style.

And honestly, if you forgot about the deadly clash between them,

he didn't dislike this kind of banter.

"Does it matter? It's not like you gods care about any of this anyway."

After all, gods don't die.

Life or death meant little to them.

How many had they killed on a whim, with a wave of a hand or a passing storm?

They felt no guilt.

It wasn't that they lacked a sense of right and wrong,

they just didn't see mortals as equals.

Little gods like you, Eros thought, need a proper thrashing from a real hero like Heracles.

And until then, he could give it a try himself.

Step one, punch Poseidon in the face. Hard.

"Uh-oh. You've gotten quicker, haven't you?"

Before Poseidon could finish her thought, Eros was right in front of her.

His fist was caught mid-strike, held fast in Poseidon's grip.

No clean hit this time.

"How cautious are you people? Can't even relax during trash talk?"

Eros was exasperated. Even mid-taunt, Poseidon stayed sharp.

Maybe all these Greek gods were trained on the set of Cautious Hero or something…

"No helping it. After all"

Wham.

His fist slammed deep into Poseidon's stomach.

Magnetic energy exploded inside her.

She doubled over, gasping.

"You see? You still let your guard down."

Eros smiled. His power surged again.

"Magnetic Spin: Annihilation Fist!"

No holding back. Everything he had, unleashed.

In this time, he'd already stabilized his "Starbreaker" state,

and with the aid of Cosmo, was carefully controlling his field's destructive force.

"This one's gonna hurt."

Blood trickled from Poseidon's lips,

her first true injury since the end of the Titanomachy.

And yet,

it only made her more excited.

"Well, warm-ups are done. Now, really get me going!"

Her fist came down like a hammer.

Eros blocked, but his arm cracked under the force.

No problem. A moment later, he reformed it through cellular regeneration.

This can work.

A slight disadvantage, yes,

but against a weakened Poseidon, he could fight.

Even as his arm healed, Eros struck again, fists meeting Poseidon's with a thunderous crash.

With his Cosmo feeding him endless power,

he wasn't about to run out of steam like some underboss.

Every punch, full force.

If only I had better magnetic techniques…

The Phantom Sovereign Emperor Fist needed Cosmo to fuel it.

But that was fine. Raw power punches worked just fine.

Against his relentless two hundred fifty thousand horsepower barrage,

even Poseidon struggled to keep up.

"Eros, you're making me so happy right now!"

Her grin matched his, pulse for pulse.
