Chapter 121: Volume 2 Chapter 64: The Ghidorah Virus
The Ghidorah's Wings, having pierced through Earth's defensive perimeters, soared through the planet's atmosphere. Their flapping wings stirred hurricanes, creatures born in the sky, destined to perish in the sky.
Under humanity's watchful eyes, the bodies of the Ghidorah's Wings were gradually destroyed by the intense heat they themselves generated. Yet, they did not cease their flight, continuing onward. Their relentless advance and self-destruction carried a unique aesthetic, captivating in its tragedy.
Perhaps in the future, someone would immortalize their images from this moment, turning them into jewelry or artifacts for sale.
The "three suns" pressed forward, burning themselves out, sweeping across Europe, East Asia, and Africa. They ultimately disintegrated entirely upon the land bridge connecting North America and Siberia. Unable to endure the intense heat any longer, the three blazing suns fell from the sky into North America's forests. They toppled mountains, their remains scattering in the wilderness, extinguished at last.
Thus, the first wave of Ghidorah's Wings—14 in total—had been entirely eradicated.
Humanity breathed a massive sigh of relief. Though no one knew what the final three Ghidorah's Wings that landed on Earth had intended, the fact that they did not harm other humans was considered a blessing.
Destruction of infrastructure was deemed trivial; robots could easily rebuild it. There was a glimmer of hope that the other Ghidorah's Wings would behave similarly: fly without fighting, avoid engaging in combat even after breaching Earth's defenses and landing.
Humans clung to this wishful thinking, believing that this wave of Ghidorah's Wings had not caused any significant harm.
But this was merely a delusion.
High in the atmosphere, beyond human perception, something remained in the wake of the Ghidorah's Wings' flight.
Golden and shimmering, it appeared to be some kind of powder. Suspended in the air, it slowly began to drift downward. Heavier than other atmospheric particles, this powder sank whenever the wind subsided. Even when updrafts occurred, it continued its descent.
The golden dust descended steadily until it encountered the land, mountains, forests, and the ruins of cities. It settled into the soil, onto vegetation, and deep within the debris.
Then, the nature of the Ghidorah's creations began to manifest.
First, visible changes appeared in plants, similar to what had once occurred in Australia. Their DNA was rewritten, evolving into forms entirely distinct from the DNA of other life on the planet. Roots, trunks, leaves—every part of the plants began a silent transformation.
The dust that reached the soil encountered Earth's native bacteria and launched its invasion. The conventional ecosystem had no resistance to these alien particles, succumbing entirely to their transformation.
Humanity's advanced systems, which manipulated atmospheric flow, attempted to redirect the particles into the ocean to neutralize them. But the scale of contamination was too vast. The golden dust had spread across the regions traversed by the Ghidorah's Wings: Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
Managing and purging the entire troposphere of such an extensive area simultaneously was an impossible task, even for the human-engineered natural consciousness.
So, the ominous golden glow spread over the entire ecosystems of Eurasia, Africa, and North America.
A new ecology began to emerge, and in just a few days, an ecosystem previously found only on other planets would restart on this one.

What are humans doing?
On the other side of the world, in Australia, Godzilla sensed it all, filled with questions.
A new ecosystem was being born on Earth...
As Godzilla-Earth, the nascent natural consciousness, could feel it—a new ecosystem was taking shape across the continents of Eurasia and Africa.
The sensation had been faint since the three Ghidorah's Wings first landed, but now it was overwhelming.
Godzilla could sense the paths those wings had flown, and it could also detect what they had released at the top of the troposphere during their flight.
It was a biological structure—barely describable as a virus. But Godzilla recognized it well because something similar was being emitted from its own body at that very moment: the Godzilla virus, capable of transforming ordinary life forms into organisms within Godzilla's ecological domain.
The microscopic entities scattered by the Ghidorah's Wings were remarkably similar. Likely, these were viruses unique to Ghidorah and its followers—the Ghidorah Virus.
From the perspective of the emerging natural consciousness, it wasn't hard for Godzilla to deduce the virus's purpose. It was akin to its own: converting existing life forms into those compatible with the Ghidorah ecological system.
Thanks to humanity allowing the Ghidorah's Wings to fly for hours, these viruses were beautifully dispersed across the continents of Eurasia, Africa, and North America.
It wouldn't be long now—just a few days—before parts of the planet's original ecosystem began to mutate into something entirely new. For the native ecosystem's inhabitants, this was anything but good news.
What were humans thinking? Why let the Ghidorah's Wings fly across Eurasia, Africa, and all the way to North America?
Godzilla's "radar," capable of scanning the entire Earth, made it painfully aware of humanity's inaction after the Ghidorah's Wings touched down. Clearly, continued bombardment could have stopped the three wings from reaching North Africa, East Asia, and North America.
But humans chose to let them fly freely, without intervention.
If not for the Earth's curvature and the fact that the ocean was still filled with Oxygen Destroyers, Godzilla would have taken matters into its own hands to eliminate them.
But it was too late now. The three Ghidorah's Wings had already completed their mission, successfully spreading Ghidorah's virus across most of the planet's landmasses.
Compared to Godzilla's virus, the Ghidorah virus was far more potent and contagious. It could propagate autonomously through its infected hosts, with the Ghidorah's Wings being a prime example.
If future interception efforts were handled in the same way, the remaining natural ecosystems on Earth could be entirely infected in no time.
Fifty-seven Ghidorah's Wings remained, poised to arrive in waves—

East Asia Monster combat command base base.
"General! Urgent report!"
"The third wave of Ghidorah's Wings has accelerated! At their current speed, they are converging with the second wave of Ghidorah's Wings. They will arrive in East Asia together in 20 hours!"
"At that time, there will be 44 Ghidorah's Wings descending—simultaneously."

Meanwhile, in Australia, Godzilla rested lightly in the wilderness.
Another natural consciousness, born from humanity, sought it out.
