"It's you, Little Rabbit," I called out, waving casually as Bell approached. "Heading to the dungeon?"

"Yeah—" Bell's reply was cut short as her foot caught on the edge of a cobblestone. She stumbled forward, arms flailing wildly as she teetered dangerously toward the ground.

Reacting quickly, I reached out and caught her mid-air, steadying her before she could faceplant. "Careful, Little Rabbit," I said, smirking as I helped her back to her feet.

"T-thanks…" Bell mumbled, quickly steadying herself as a faint blush crept up her cheeks. She avoided my gaze, fiddling with the hem of her white tunic nervously.

I chuckled softly. "You should watch where you're going. Tripping before you even reach the dungeon? Not a great look for an adventurer."

Bell's face grew redder as she pouted, finally looking up at me with a huff. "I know, but why do you keep calling me Little Rabbit? My name is Bell Cranel!" Her voice carried a mix of frustration and indignation, her cheeks puffed adorably as she crossed her arms.

Cute. Too cute, actually. "I'll think about calling you by your name when you earn it," I teased, setting her upright. "And beside the names fit you since you have the same hair and eye colour as rabbit."

"But I'm a human! Not an animal!" she protested, her pout deepening as she stomped her foot. Her determined glare and childish defiance made her look even more like the nickname I'd given her. "Hmph! That's so unfair!"

While I was amuse by her reaction Paddy floated beside me, his smooth, monotone voice chiming in. "Greetings, Bell Cranel."

Bell blinked at Paddy, her frustration momentarily forgotten. "Hello, Paddy!" she replied brightly, waving at the floating support unit.

As I watched their brief interaction, a thought crossed my mind. Bell Cranel is kind of like a dandere.

Dandere characters will normally be quiet and silent, possibly to the point of coming across as emotionless at times.

However, they will suddenly become talkative and sweet when alone with the right person if they are comfortable enough to pour their heart out, revealing that they're actually just shy.

So that means she is now comfortable talking with me. Quiet fast when we just met yesterday.

Must be a protagonist thing. I wonder if the whole plot armor package comes with it.

Bell tilted her head curiously, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh yeah, I wanted to ask—what are you doing here?"

I leaned back on the bench, folding my arms behind my head casually. "Waiting," I replied simply. "I was asked to stay put while she handles some business. She should be done any moment now, so I'm just killing time."

"Waiting for..?"

"Work related job."

"E-eh… oh, I see. Uh, also…" she trailed off, fidgeting nervously before pulling out what looked like a handful of coins. She held them out to me, her hand trembling slightly.

I stared at the money for a moment that was around 300 Valis, then back at her, raising an eyebrow. "What's this?"

"T-this is the bill for the food last night. I-I'm sorry I ran away without paying," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Oh yeah… she did bolt before covering the tab. I had almost forgotten about it. To be honest, it had stung a bit at the time, but the bill wasn't expensive, so I brushed it off soon after.

Bell continued, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I went back to the Hostess of Fertility earlier to pay for the meal, but Mia Grand told me that you already covered it. I… I asked around, and Syr mentioned you were near the guild, so I came here as quickly as I could."

I nodded at her explanation, but a small alarm went off in my head. Wait a minute… how does she know I'm in front of the guild? I thought, narrowing my eyes slightly. I never told her that, and I didn't go anywhere near the Hostess of Fertility after yesterday.

Before I could ask, something caught my attention behind Bell. My eyes locked on the person I'd been waiting for this entire time. It was Lily.

She was hard to miss—struggling as she pushed a cart piled high with sacks of money. The sheer weight of the cart made her movements awkward and sluggish, and sweat gleamed on her forehead.

By the time she reached us, she let out a long, dramatic sigh and collapsed onto the ground in exhaustion.

Well... I can just take a note of it for later investigation on how Syr or Freya knows that I am here.

I stepped around Bell and approached Lily, glancing at the cart. Peeking into one of the sacks, I was met with a glittering sea of valis reflecting the sunlight.

"Hm… sounds about right," I muttered, squinting slightly at the brightness of the valis-filled bag. My gaze shifted to Lily, who was sprawled out on the ground, drenched in sweat. "How much?" I asked.

Lily groaned, lifting her head just enough to meet my eyes. "Eighty… eighty million valis," she wheezed, disbelief still evident in her voice.

"Eighty… eighty million valis," I mutter

"EIGHTY MILLION VALLIS?!" Bell's scream echoed across the plaza, turning more than a few heads.

I tilted my head slightly, confused by her reaction. "Is that a lot, or…?"

Bell spun toward me, her hands flailing for emphasis. "You can buy an entire mansion with that kind of money!" she exclaimed.

"I see... Well, most of the loot came from the 27th floor, so I'm not surprised," I said casually, brushing off her shock.

"Eh? 27 floor?"

Instead of answering, I gave her a smirk. "I told you not to worry about the bill. Three hundred valis is nothing to me."

Bell stood frozen, her mouth hanging open in shock, words failing her completely. I walked past her toward the cart, brimming with confidence. Gripping the front handle, I gave it a hearty tug.

Nothing.

I frowned and pulled harder, digging my feet into the ground for leverage. Still, the cart didn't budge an inch.

Alright… no choice but to use a character.

"Character usage, Darth Vader," I muttered under my breath.

[Character usage Darth Vader Confirmed]

Almost instantly, an invisible force seemed to envelop me. The weight of the cart now felt insignificant as I began to push it with ease.

I turned back to Bell, who was still standing there, her mouth agape as if the world around her had stopped making sense. Waving casually, I called out, "Good luck with your dungeon, kid."

Her lips moved as if trying to form words, but nothing came out.

Behind me, Lily struggled to her feet, wobbling from exhaustion. "W-wait for me!" she called, forcing herself into a tired jog to catch up.

As I pushed the cart along, a stray thought crossed my mind, and I couldn't help but chuckle. Should I start calling this 'Is It Wrong to Pick Up a Guy in a Dungeon?' The absurdity of the title amused me. And since the hero is a girl, we'd have to call her a heroine.

Watch out, Orario. We've got a heroine on the rise, ready to shatter every record this city has ever seen.

I glanced back to check on Lily, who was still stumbling behind me, and the plump kid trailing her with a mix of hesitation and determination.

"Come on, kid," I called, smirking. "You've still got one more task to complete."

"Y-yes!" the plump kid stammered, picking up her pace despite her apparent nerves.

Meanwhile, the little Rabbit still stays hearing the number of money.

Her wide eyes followed his back as he left, the cart of glittering wealth gliding effortlessly behind him. For a moment, she stayed rooted in place, until she shook her head to clear her thoughts. Her gaze softened as admiration welled up within her.

"80 million Valis...so much money… He must be really strong!"

The realization filled her with awe. He's definitely beyond Level 4, she thought, her mind racing to gauge his strength. Maybe even Level 5… if she pushes her luck.

But admiration wasn't the only thing she felt. A spark of determination ignited in her chest, burning brighter with every passing second.

If I work hard enough, maybe one day I can stand beside someone like him… No, not just stand beside him. I'll surpass him!

Her heart raced at the fantasy unfurling in her head.

"Hehe, just like a hero"

In her mind, she envisioned a future where she'd grown stronger—stronger than him. The image was so vivid she could almost feel it. He'd be in danger, outnumbered and wounded, and then I'd show up, weapons blazing, saving him at the last moment.

'Oh my god, Bell, you're so strong. We should get married,' she imagined him saying in awe, his face full of gratitude while she carried him.

She clapped her hands over her cheeks to cool down her rising blush. "Oh~ stop it!" she whined, shaking her head to dispel the daydream.

But her curiosity lingered. Who is he? She knew almost every prominent Familia and top-tier adventurer in Orario, or at least she thought she did. Could he be someone new? Or had she somehow overlooked someone?

There is only one way to find out.

"I should ask Eina-chan for a clue about him," she said, her lips curling into a determined smile

Humming softly, she turned and began walking toward the guild, her steps light with energy. Just you wait, Daniel. I'll find out who you are and one day, I'll catch up to you.
