The appearance of the girl was strange, she had a petite body with chestnut-colored hair and eyes. She wears a slightly torn red and white hooded top that exposes her midriff and a red skirt that she chooses to leave unbuttoned.

For whatever reason, when I saw her, I felt an odd sense of familiarity, as if I'd seen her somewhere before. Not one to leave such feelings unresolved, I decided to use my HUD to check her true name.

[NPC_Liliruca Arde 89%]

The moment her name popped up, recognition hit me like a bolt of lightning.

She was Liliruca Arde

A member of the Hestia Familia and one of the many individuals in Bell's harem member.

Despite knowing that I would meet her someday considering she an important NPC, it was still surprising and unexpected to meet her here of all places.

"T-thank you for saving me, a-adventurer-sama," she stammered nervously, her voice as soft as her frame. "B-but I must leave quickly. My family is waiting for me."

As she turned to leave, I couldn't help but call out, "Liliruca Arde."

She froze mid-step, her petite frame stiffening. Slowly, she turned her head to glance at me, her wide chestnut eyes now filled with fear. "H-how do you know my name?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Her reaction didn't faze me, though it did confirm my suspicion. "Paddy, give me a full profile on her," I commanded, my tone calm but firm.

"Affirmative," came Paddy's reply, his voice echoing in my ear.

Liliruca's brow furrowed as she tilted her head in confusion, clearly trying to make sense of my one-sided conversation. "W-who are you talking to?" she asked hesitantly, her voice tinged with suspicion.

I ignored her for a moment, focusing on the glowing screen that materialized in front of me, listing her profile in detail.

"Let's see... Liliruca Arde, age 15, is currently in massive debt because your parents died in the line of duty, leaving you to shoulder their burden. Did I get that right?"

Her chestnut eyes widened in shock, her lips pressing into a thin line. She looked ready to run, but something was keeping her rooted in place. Maybe fear was the reason.

"...Yes," she finally admitted, her voice trembling. "And what do you want?"

This was a great opportunity. A girl like her, someone who knows the hardship of living in this world, would undoubtedly have connections to the underworld that I need.

"Geez, calm down," I said, waving my hand dismissively. "You make it sound like I'm here to kill your pet or something. I just want to make a trade with you."

Her eyes narrowed, skepticism etched into her expression. "...What kind of trade are you talking about?"

"It's simple," I said, leaning against the nearby wall to appear nonchalant. "Do you know anyone who sells Adventurer Cards?"

Her eyebrows shot up, her surprise giving way to a guarded curiosity. "Adventurer Cards? Why would you need those? You're already an adventurer, aren't you?"

"Let's just say I have my reasons," I replied vaguely, keeping my tone light. "I figure someone like you, might know where to find one. Am I wrong?"

"T-that's..." she stammered, her eyes darting away.

Looks like I hit the mark.

"Of course not for free."

I didn't bother explaining further and simply let my actions do the talking. With a quick motion, I materialized a heavy bag of materials, dropping it unceremoniously onto the ground beside me.

Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at the bag that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Before she could even voice her disbelief, I pointed at it. "All of this," I began, "is filled to the brim with materials from the 19th to the 27th floor of the dungeon. And I hunted them all... alone."

Her mouth opened slightly, then closed as the weight of my words began to sink in. She glanced from the bag to me, her expression a mix of awe and skepticism. She wasn't stupid—she knew what it meant for a single adventurer to operate alone on those floors.

If she had any understanding of the dungeon hierarchy, she'd know this was no small feat. To venture into the 21st to 27th floors solo required the strength and skill of at least a Level 4 adventurer, along with careful preparation and top-tier equipment.

If it was in a group of 4 you need to be at least level 3.

So she should know the meaning if she has any idea of scamming me.

But that's not the point of why I am bringing the loot that I gather from the dungeon and showing it to her.

Simply...I needed money. Plain and simple.

And the only way to earn money in Orario is obviously selling dungeon loot, so I want to sell all of the junk stores inside my inventory and give it to the plum kid so she could exchange it for money.

And why am I asking the little kid to sell it for me? Well...the reason I am doing this is because I don't possess any adventure card.

So naturally it would be quite suspicious if I suddenly appeared with a large amount of Magic Stone when they didn't even know a single thing about me. So why not do it with another adventure instead? There is no rule saying that another adventure has to sell the material

"Here's the deal," I said, breaking her stunned silence. "You take this bag and handle the exchange. Sell every last scrap in there and bring me the valis. I'll even let you keep a small cut for your trouble."

Her face twisted into indignation, and she snapped, "I would never sell myself—"

"10% of the loot is yours no question asked after selling all of these. And... did you know that I plan to buy an adventure card for 1.000.000 Vallis? if you manage to find me a place where I can buy an adventure card and buy these cards with the money I have, the leftover money is yours."

kaaching "Yes, Adventurer-sama! Leave it to me!"

So easy to please. I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes at how quickly her tune changed when Money talked.

After that, we decided to meet tomorrow morning near the guild.

/

Since I did not feel tired or mentally exhausted I decided to read more information regarding the entire night.

When it was morning, I took a quick bath on the nearby well and headed to the guild.

I was a bit early, and the guild was not even open yet with how empty the street was. But since this was my first chance to earn money I was a bit eager to go there early..

Finally, when I arrive at the guild unexpectly the little girl named Liliruca Arde was waiting in front of the guild.

"You're here already, Liliruca Arde," I greeted her, unable to hide my surprise.

She huffed, her tiny nose wrinkling slightly. "Hmph, money is still money. I'm not about to run away from it."

"Good," I said with a small nod. "Then, Liliruca Arde, I will—"

"Stop right there," she interrupted, holding up a hand. "Can you just call me Lily? It's seriously annoying hearing my full name all the time."

I blinked at her sudden request but shrugged. "Alright then, Lily it is. Paddy?"

"Affirmative"

As he materialized from thin air I turned to Liliruca, and before she could question who was Paddy, I decided to get ahead of her. "That's Paddy," I explained casually, pointing to the seemingly empty air beside me. "And he's a fairy."

"..."

She stared at me, her chestnut-colored eyes narrowing in disbelief. Her expression screamed, Do you seriously expect me to believe that?

I simply shrugged in response. "Believe what you want."

She shook her head and sighed, muttering something about weird adventurers under her breath. Before she could say anything more, I clapped my hands together. "Right. Wait a moment—I'll spawn a cart so you can carry everything to the Guild."

In an instant, a huge pile of dungeon materials appeared and floated above the ground shimmering under the morning light. Liliruca's jaw dropped at the huge amount of material.

After all of the material pulls out, I pull out my tool gun and spawn in a cart and we quickly move the material to the cart.

The cart groaned under the sheer weight of the materials, now filled to the brim with loot from the 19th to 27th floors.

Liliruca stood to the side, arms crossed, staring at the towering pile. Her gaze flicked between the cart, Paddy, and finally me. Her face was a mix of awe, confusion.

"H-how…?" she stammered, gesturing helplessly at the cart.

I shrugged, giving her a casual smile. "Just… don't question it."

She locked eyes with me, her expression unchanging. After a few seconds of silence, she sighed deeply and shook her head.

"Fine," she said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "So, you want me to sell all of this?"

"Exactly. Unless you're planning to reject free money?"

"N-no, I'm not!" she quickly retorted, waving her hands. "B-but, I have a suggestion. Instead of selling it all directly to the Guild, there's a better option."

"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow. "And what would that be?"

Liliruca straightened up, her tone becoming more confident as she explained. "We could sell it to a middleman instead. That way, we'd deal directly with customers who need these materials. It might take more effort, but the payout could be much higher—50% or even 75% more than what the Guild would offer."

I tilted my head, considering her words. "So, it's more profitable and… safer?"

"Exactly," she nodded. "If we sell this huge amount of material directly to the Guild, they might get suspicious. Unless we're from a big Familia, they'll question how we got all of it. A middleman won't care as long as they get what they want."

"What about the magic gems?" I asked, glancing at the glowing pile of stones among the loot.

"Those," she said with a frown, "we have no choice but to sell to the Guild. Selling magic gems to anyone else is illegal, and that's not a risk worth taking."

I crossed my arms and gave her an appraising look. It seemed like I had made the right choice in asking her to handle this. "Not bad. Looks like you've got a knack for business."

Looks like I made the right choice choosing her.

"The only problem is that it's going to consume a huge amount of time since we have to find the said middleman first before we can even sell it," Lily said

"I see... then you better get to work since I am not even done yet

Before she could respond, Paddy floated closer, his metal body emitting a faint whirring sound. He opened his compartment and began pulling out another mountain of materials, dumping them onto a cart I had just spawned with my tool gun.

"W-what?! More?!" Liliruca exclaimed, her eyes widening as the pile grew larger and larger.

Ignoring her reaction, I spawned another cart. Then another. And another. Each time, Paddy obediently pulled out more materials, filling every cart to the brim. The clattering of items echoed in the air as the growing crowd of adventurers nearby murmured in disbelief.

Liliruca stood frozen, her head swiveling between me, Paddy, and the endless parade of carts. Her expression shifted from shock to disbelief, then finally to resignation.

When the last of the materials had been loaded, there were ten carts lined up, each packed to capacity with loot. The sheer sight of it was absurd—enough supplies to equip an entire Familia or sell for a small fortune.

I turned to her with a casual shrug. "So… do you still want to sell it to a middleman, or…?"

"Never mind!" she snapped, throwing her hands in the air. After a few moments of pacing and muttering to herself, she stopped and glanced around. Her sharp eyes settled on a group of nearby adventurers gawking at our operation.

She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Hey, you!"

The adventurers flinched, some stepping back nervously. One particularly scrawny-looking elf hesitantly pointed at himself. "M-me?"

"Yes, you!" Liliruca snapped, motioning him closer. "Get over here. And bring your friends!"

The elf stumbled forward, dragging a couple of his companions along with him. They stood awkwardly in front of her, clearly unsure of what to expect.

"I've got a job for you," Liliruca said, her voice dripping with authority. "You're going to help me move all of this to the Guild. Got it?"

After Lily called a huge amount of adventure they then began to split up, Lily told me to wait there so she could sell all the stuff and make sure they didn't steal any of the material.

With that, she marched off, the small convoy of adventurers trailing behind her like ducklings.

And so, I waited.

I found a bench nearby and sat down, watching the street slowly fill with life as the morning wore on.

For nearly two hours, I did nothing but sit there.

At some point, I started thinking to myself. Does this count as child labor? I mean, technically I'm making a kid do all the hard work here.

Then another thought struck me: Is this what companies mean when they ask for 20 years of experience for an entry-level job?

As I stared off into space, lost in my musings, a cheerful voice pulled me back to reality.

"Daniel!!"

I turned my head to see who was calling me and found Bell Cranel.

And currently, she was smiling brightly, there were sparkles all around her face, as if we were in a truly romantic high school comedy.

Too bad this was a harem genre. Hopefully, I am not in any part of it.
