Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 28: Chapter 28

The matter concerned the livelihoods of countless people in Liyue, so the situation in Qingce Village had to be handled with the utmost care. There were over a dozen secret codes for communication alone.

One of them was to report every five days that Qingce Village was in imminent danger and request reinforcements.

Today was the sixth day, and the message from Qingce Village was still "everything is normal."

Now, it was certain that Qingce Village was in trouble—big trouble, so severe that they couldn't even send a distress signal.

"So, what do you plan to do? Ask the adepti or the Geo Archon to solve it?"

Keqing said mockingly. Due to various factors between them, she always found herself instinctively annoyed with Ningguang.

Ningguang smiled lightly, unfazed by Keqing's sarcasm. She gently traced the rim of her teacup with her slender fingers. "If we trouble the adepti and the Geo Archon over such a small matter, how will Liyue ever transition to human governance?"

Keqing's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Ningguang.

Transitioning Liyue from divine rule to human governance was Keqing's own belief. She had thought she was the outlier among the Qixing, but today, she heard these words from Ningguang's mouth.

Seeing Keqing's stunned expression, Ningguang chuckled softly and called Larvitar to her side, gently picking up the little creature.

"In the past, I didn't agree with your approach. You were too radical, and that wasn't right. Liyue, as the economic hub of Teyvat, would fare no better than our neighbor Mondstadt if we rashly lost the Geo Archon's protection. But now, things are different. Boss Li might be the key to breaking this deadlock."

Feeling Ningguang's touch, Larvitar, who had been munching on Cor Lapis, curiously looked up at the two women. But after tilting its head and listening for a moment, it gave up on understanding and went back to eating.

Keqing remained silent, her slender hand unconsciously reaching for the Poké Ball at her waist.

Pokémon that grow alongside humans… It's indeed a good idea.

"Alright, our Yuheng Star, no need to dwell on it. You have urgent matters to attend to now."

Keqing perked up.

"Keqing, I need you to head to Qingce Village as quickly as possible. Stabilize the situation before my helper arrives. At the very least, don't let things get worse."

Ningguang spoke seriously.

Keqing looked at her with a mix of confusion and disbelief. "You already know the true culprit behind the anomaly in Qingce Village?"

She knew Ningguang had her own intelligence network, but she hadn't expected it to be this terrifying. Even the Qixing's intelligence network hadn't caught wind of it yet, but Ningguang already had the information?!

"What are you thinking? No matter how powerful my intelligence network is, it couldn't have gotten here that quickly."

With that, Ningguang stood up and walked over to a large map of Liyue. She crossed her arms and pointed her smoking pipe at the location of Qingce Village.

"In ancient times, Qingce Village was a barren land because it was inhabited by a malevolent beast. This beast could easily summon tides on land, turning Qingce Village into a flooded wasteland. Later, the Geo Archon split its body and sealed it away. The beast's blood soaked the entire land of Qingce Village, and from then on, the village enjoyed favorable weather and became Liyue's granary."

Ningguang didn't need to finish her sentence. Keqing already understood what she was referring to.

She had investigated the history of Qingce Village recently and naturally knew what Ningguang was talking about.

The Chi!

"So, who's the helper you've called?"

Now that she knew the target, Keqing's decisive nature kicked in. She took the travel pack handed to her by Baiwen and was about to leave when she suddenly stopped and turned back to ask Ningguang.

"No need to trouble yourself with that, Yuheng Star. You'd better hurry."

Ningguang covered her mouth with a light laugh, avoiding a direct answer.

"Tch, suit yourself."

Keqing pouted, disliking Ningguang's mysterious demeanor. With that, she threw out a hairpin, which transformed into a Shard fixed in mid-air. In the next moment, Keqing's figure flashed onto the shard.

Using this method, Keqing descended from the Jade Chamber to the ground in just a few flashes.

In terms of mobility, Keqing was almost at the peak of what a mortal could achieve.

"Lady Ningguang, who exactly is this helper you mentioned?"

Beside her, Baiwen looked at Ningguang curiously. She had never heard of Ningguang knowing anyone capable of dealing with a threat like the Chi.

Ningguang glanced at her. "Since you're curious, come with me."

With that, Ningguang walked toward the floating stone that connected the Jade Chamber to the ground. Baiwen, still puzzled, followed behind her.

"Boss Li, long time no see."

The door to Pokémon Home opened, and Li Pan, who had been lounging in his rocking chair, saw Ningguang and Baiwen walk in.

"…So, the helper you mentioned is Boss Li?"

Baiwen thought to herself, but honestly, there was no one in Liyue Harbor more suitable than Li Pan.

First, he harbored no ill will toward Liyue.

Second, he was strong enough.

Landorus, though a deity from another world, was still a deity, a being with divine authority, akin to a natural disaster for humans.

Finally, he had little connection to the adepti of Liyue, making him a force that could be won over.

Neither Keqing nor Ningguang intended to overthrow the Geo Archon's rule. Instead, they wanted to prove to the Archon that even without him and the adepti, Liyue could still thrive.

"Ah, it's the Tianquan! What a rare guest. No wonder I heard bird chirping as soon as I woke up this morning it must've been a sign of your arrival."

The moment he saw Ningguang, Li Pan immediately sat up from his rocking chair, rubbing his hands together with a smile.

This wasn't him being mercenary—it was just that this woman paid so well!

After buying Larvitar, she had bought up all the Cor Lapis on the market in Liyue Harbor. Worried about malnutrition, she also bought a hundred boxes each of Rock-type, Ground-type, and Dark-type Pokéblocks from him, along with various potions and Poké Balls. She had nearly cleaned out his shop.

"Boss Li, I've come to ask for your help this time."

Ningguang sat down in front of Li Pan with a warm smile, exuding a comforting aura.

Hearing Ningguang's self-introduction, Li Pan's internal alarm bells went off. Someone said, "The more beautiful a woman is, the more deceptive she can be."

So, when he saw Ningguang like this, Li Pan immediately sensed the scent of a scheme.
