Gate Hunters

"Alright kids, we're going to come home late, so please be nice to Ruth," Ruby said swiftly to her children, glancing at the clock which read 08:45 pm, marking the start of their date night.

I was in the car, letting everyone know that we were about to depart. Ruby, not wanting to leave the children unattended tonight, chose to request her personal babysitter, Ruth, to look after the two kids.

Given by how excited the kids got, it seems that they got a strong emotional attachment to her.

I had the opportunity to speak with her, and she is indeed a very polite young woman. Although she is not a native English speaker, her fluency in the language is impressive.

I checked my phone and saw that Zero mentioned he had informed his mother about being invited to a friend's house. She was genuinely excited to learn that he had friends. I couldn't help but laugh at that part.

Molly messaged our group chat to inform us that she's told her parents she will be going to bed early tonight, so everything is arranged for her.

Peter already said that he is waiting for everyone to give the signal.

Having finished speaking with the children, Ruby got into the car and said, "Okay, the kids are sorted, and now all we need to do is head to the base." With that, Ruby started the car, and we were on our way.

"Nervous?" I asked

"Pretty much, we are going up against the GEA and including whatever is inside that White Gate. One mistake and our lives might end tonight... and you? Are you nervous?" Asked Ruby.

"Not really. I'm confident that I leave alive. Besides I made promise to drunk Ruby that I won't die. And I have a habit of keeping my word." Upon hearing my response, she showed an irritated smile.

"A person can't drink without having their actions teased back at them now can they." She spoke.

I laughed smugly and rolled down the window, replying, "Nope." The response I received was a splash of water across my head.

My phone notification sounded, and as I quickly checked the message, it read, "Molly and Zero have managed to sneak out of their homes. Peter will pick them up now." I said.

"Okay, we will arrive at the warehouse in a few minutes. Why not rest up until then?" Ruby suggested.

"I will pass. I'm want to see this through the end." I calmly rest my head on the windowsill and enjoy the nighttime breeze.

(20 minutes later)

We arrived at the warehouse with our companions already dress in their raiding outfit...expect for Zero who looked like a dealer with the black jeans and hoodie combo.

At least he wore a mask, but it was just so boring that I was disappointed when I saw it.

Peter and Molly noticed our car, but Zero chose to cover his eyes. "Go ahead and change; we're currently revising the plans with Zero," said Peter.

We both nod and made our way inside carrying the suitcase with our raiding uniform.

Once inside, Ruby seemed poised to ask a question, but I anticipated her inquiry. "Don't worry, I won't watch you or anything. If you want to be comfortable—" I said, but she quickly interrupted. "It's fine as long as you don't turn around. We sleep in the same room anyway, so undressing isn't a big deal." It seems that after last night's events, she's become more relaxed around me.

"Okay, but it would be a shame if I couldn't get a glimpse of the prize at the end of the road," I said playfully as I continued to admire the dress she had chosen for the evening.

Even though we had no plans to go out, she still dressed to impress, donning a white knee-length dress paired with golden high heels. Lord, I think I'm about to sin.

With a bashful smile and a confident pose after catching my attention, Ruby said, "Well, that's all you get for now. If luck is on our side, I might just surprise you with a gift." She is being more seductive and the way she struts herself towards me was getting me excited.

Ruby gentle gasped my chest and run down her fingers lower and lower, "And the reward could be-" before those hands could touch anything.

"HURRY UP ALREADY!!!" Shouted Peter.

(5 minutes later)

We left the warehouse still feeling the aftermath of each other teasing.

Molly was smiling slyly, hinting that the two of them will be talking about what happen inside, "Alright, since everyone is here, huddle close together and ensure you're touching someone," Peter instructed.

The five of us moved in closer, each of us finding a partner to connect with.

I was holding Ruby's hand and holding onto Zero's shoulder.

Molly held Ruby's hand and hold onto Peter outfit.

Everyone was strapped in and ready for takeoff. "Alright, everyone, this is the moment before we embark on the greatest raid of our lives. We all know our roles and what needs to be accomplished. We will not only defeat the GEA and uncover their secrets but also determine whether we, the Rejected, can achieve the seemingly impossible," said Peter.

Our mask displays an emotion people believe that's our true self. But I can you that behind all the different mask with different emotions on them.

We all were determined for this raid.

"Hunter... it's time to dispatch." Our bodies turned into lightning and seconds later. We were already making our way to the Island.
